The room we got had a clear view of Mt.Fuji and a personal-sized onsen! What a refreshing way to wake up! The size of the room was spacious, very different from the city hotels. There is a garden and koi pond in the middle of the hotel where you can walk around. There were three (3) upscale restaurants you can eat in, just make sure to schedule. Breakfast was served in one of the restaurants, Japanese-style. Service was friendly and efficient. Did I just say that the view from our room is breathtaking? Wonderful.

I wish there were more international cable channels, or maybe a movie streaming service so there are more choices of shows to watch.

Nice clean and big room with Mt Fuji View. The staff are very attentive. The moment my car entered the hotel compound, the staff rushed out to tender her service, including helping to unload the luggage and provision of the carpark entry card. The breakfast was nice. We chose the Japanese style breakfast and surprisingly, it was very elaborate. The staff at the restaurant were very courteous. We will come back here again when we next visit Gotemba. Btw, the carpark is a basement carpark, free parking, and the lift goes right up to the hotel room.

Fantastically landscaped property that is very near to the Gotemba Premium Outlet Mall. Property was quite spread out and the property area is quite big with different buildings. They have on-site onsen bath. Room is very spacious with a nice view of Mount Fuji

Location is a little out of the way but that is the trade off between somewhere in the hustle and bustle of a property in a city where everything is convenient vs somewhere that has more privacy. At least the bus stops for the free bus shuttle to the premium outlet mall is quite near which I discovered only arriving at the property. The breakfast is Japanese traditional meal and may not be enjoyable by most people as you do not have a say in the selection of food. Good for experience though.

The front desk staffs’ service could be much better, they were not very polite and seemed a bit rude to us. Especially a male receptionist who received us, his communication was not clear and lack politeness - there was no ‘thank you’ or ‘please’, so when he was asking us for documents he sounded like he was making demands. For a four star hotel, this is not a behaviour to tolerate for its guests.

Mars Garden Wood Gotemba had a good location and views. It is literally a garden woods. The view from our room was very nice. Due to the season during our stay, they have light show every hour (?) at night and we simply loved it. Rooms were big enough for a family of 4, even if the kids are almost adults.

Location was a little bit far from JR Gotemba station if you took the trains and have luggages. You will still need to take a taxi. It won’t be easy taking the shuttle bus.

Big and luxurious

We were unable to get a taxi at Gotemba outlet. We called the hotel and as it was late and raining, instead of sending us transport, we were told there was no taxi. Very disappointed with bad service. We had to ask a couple who was staying at Dormy Inn to let us use their taxi and paid for the taxi to send them to their hotel before we continue with the journey back to Mars Wood. Was a bad and lousy start for our trip.

My group and myself enjoyed our stay here. We had booked Mt Fuji View Rooms which were amazing. The hot spring baths and sauna were extremely good The breakfast.was curated for individual preferences and dietary restrictions of the group. One of my group members left her sunglasses in the room and the hotel couriered it to the next hotel where we were staying. This was highly appreciated.

Breakfast is unique, even though I don't eat raw, but I still enjoy the beautiful decoration. Room size is ok, mount fuji view is splendid. Onsen is really good experience, and the music fountain is awesome.

Location is far from the station, it looks near but I have to bring my luggage to walk round the road to pass into the entrance, because there is no direct entrance. Location near the Outlet but far from the tourist attraction too. Pillow too soft

A nice little oasis at the end of the line. The water display complete with 100 obliging colourful koi was a bonus. The food quality was excellent.

Unfortunately for us we had 2 nights and days here where it rained non stop and we never even got to see Fuji. Not the fault of the hotel but something to be considered. It was a very expensive hotel with breakfasts at Y4650 and the cheapest dinner at Y9000 per person. We opted to have breakfasts elsewhere and still spent Y117500 for 2 nights. A bit pricy for this location.

The best hotel I have ever been to. Japanese hotels are always next level compared to ours in Europe, but this one was simply amazing. The only thing that might seem strange at first is the breakfast, not everything there was delicious. But that's my personal preference, so I didn't lower the ratings for that.
