We absolutely loved the location, recommendations & the staff at Elizabeth. From the beginning, we thought the staff were so helpful, especially the owner. We asked for recommendations to book our dinners in after our skiing days. The staff booked us in unique dinners for all 5 nights of our stay & they were awesome, well priced & fun unique places we would never have found ourselves. The recommendations they gave us for where to hire ski equipment was so good too. Sports Thanks was easy to hire from, they store your stuff & then you can just walk up the hill to the slopes, clip in and away you go. It's a short stroll down the hill to all the centre of town & restaurants & bars. We will definitely be back next year & bring our kid

The double bed was tiny. In future would go two single beds for us as a couple ;) Walls are paper thin which didn't bother us but possibly bothered our neighbours being next to us two loud Aussies - sorry!

We stayed in this lovely hotel for 4 nights and it was really a GREAT one. First of all, starting from the beginning, the hotel staff were considerate and caring. We are a family of four including two kids. When we made the reservation three months ago, all rooms for four persons in the hotel were full. In view of the peak season and the difficulties in finding accommodation for large family, they allowed us to stay in their room for three persons. During our stay, the staff were nice and friendly, not to mention informative. The room was clean and tidy, and they even prepared amenities for use in public baths. Last but not least, we discovered that we lost our car key upon check-out. All the staff there were very helpful in helping us call the police, restaurant, car rental company… We had a happy ending as we finally found the key inside our luggage. Their assistance was really appreciated!!!

Breakfast was good..... a couple of the hot items were not to our liking but there were more than enough other options, given the hotel is in a traditional Japanese area. Room was very comfortable and it was a pleasure to have a private bathroom for the first time in Japan.

Price was very expensive, but overall quality of the hotel, room and facilities was excellent, so I suppose that's "the price you pay". Bit of a walk up the hill to ski lifts for my arthriric knees, but should be no problem for most people.

Rooms in Elizabeth are exceptionably clean, no smell or dust. Best of all friendly and helpful staffs with luggage transferal and restaurants booking. Proximity of premises to Nagasaks gondola is a plus, less than 150m walking distance to bottom of the gondola. This making so easy to get around to ski field and to Oyu main street.

Breakfast could be better, Elizabeth needs to put more effort into making their breakfast more appealing. That would be a bonus.

The atmosphere was very comfortable in the lobby. Upslope but reseanoble distance to the Gondola. Staff was willing to help at all times, very dedicated. Laundry facilities are for free and good.

They have a really big issue with the internet connection in general, for the TV and personal devices. It is not fast nor stable. We stayed in two different rooms and netflix was not possible to watch in either room, close and far from the elevator. In the second room far from the elevator, the last two days we called the staff. They were really really helpful but they couldn’t solve the problem until next day when a technician installed a router close to the TV for our last day. As other guest mentioned breakfast is totally a weak point. The beds, specially the japanese style ones are not the most comfortable ones. The duvet looks a bit unhygienic.

Low-key, friendly staff, impeccably clean, nice attention to detail. Perfect location away from the busiest streets and within an easy walk from the ski hill. Appreciated the binders with restaurant recommendations and maps to find onsens.

Would have appreciated earlier in the morning fresh coffee and tea in the lobby. Breakfast was basic, but lovely. Appreciated the fresh apples and local apple jam and yoghurt.

Location is great, 5 mins walk to the gondola, 5 mins walk to the main street for food. Service from staff is excellent, they are very friendly and helpful. Place is comfortable, we loved the futon option. Room had a Bluetooth speaker as well, and Netflix on TV which was nice.

The in-house onsen was closed due to covid, had to go out to the public baths (nearest one 1 min walk away, but would've liked the option of not going out in the cold). Limited breakfast selection, mainly western style breakfast. Room we got was able to sleep 4, so was a little pricey for 2pax with ensuite.

Amazing, wonderful staff. We really felt like they went above and beyond. The common area was really lovely to relax in, and the fire was always going. Our room was nice, and the heating sufficient. Also loved having our own bathroom. There is plenty of space in the dry rooms for all your snow gear, and your skiis/snowboard could be locked up. The location was amazing. A 5 minute walk to the main street, 5 minutes up to the gondola and minutes away from many of the local onsens. There was free laundry facilities and some refreshments in the common area, plus a work room for those who brought their work with them.

The breakfast was a little disappointing.

We really enjoy the quality of service before arrival, the team anticipated our needs, booked restaurants and skis for us and made sure everything was well prepared. We had a warm welcome by a very efficient and friendly team. It is a very quiet area, 400 m from ski slopes but you can leave your skis at the rental shop. We also enjoyed the wood fire when coming back from ski.

We just regret that the breakfast is a very standard one, may be well adapted for US and American people, less for French who usually like more local products and better bread and pastries.

The staff are very lovely and extremely helpful. They helped us organise restaurant bookings, taxis and were extremely accommodating of our 16 month old baby. The location is excellent, just 300m from one of the gondolas. We stayed in a traditional Japanese style room with a private bathroom. The bathroom was small but seemed brand new. The room was very spacious and had lots of amenities. We have stayed in Nozawa many times and this is the best place we have stayed, with regards to location, value for money and how helpful and friendly the staff are.
