The rooms are very modern and the bed is comfortable. The bathroom is a good size, and the onsen is decent sized too. The stafff were also so nice and helpful. Great customer service.

The onsen itself looks a bit old and tired. It doesn't remove from the experience but it isn't the best I've been to. The resturant food is underwhelming (we had both breakfast and dinner), over-priced with small portions. Beware not to get to the hotel via bus from Odawara station. The walk from the bus stop to the hotel involves walking through a dodgy place, uphill near a main road. Just take the train to Gora station instead, a 2 min walk from the station.

The location is fantastic, absolutely perfect for walking around to sights and for arrival/departure to other destinations. The staff were absolutely wonderful, everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was big and the hotel in general is well curated. Breakfast was lovely, and they accommodated for my dietary requirement without issues. The onsen area was clean and easy to use. We were able to easily leave luggage before check-in and after checking out which made our stay easier.

The mattresses were way too hard unfortunately, it made for a very uncomfortable night. I wish the onsen was a little cosier, and when I went the water wasn't very warm, which someone else commented on as well. I would have preferred not to have to book a breakfast time ahead, although I understand they wish to have a smooth buffet experience.

Fantastic hotel, perfectly placed next to Gora Station. Comfortable, clean room with lots of facilities. Don't miss trying the breakfast and the set meal in the evening, they were delicious. Staff are really helpful and friendly. A wonderful place to visit with so much to see and do in the area, suggest getting the Hakone Pass for travel on trains, buses, cable car, pirate ship and discounts or free entry in places like Gora Park and Hakone Open Air museum.

Exactly at the station, very convenient. Big and beautiful room, fully equipped. Nice onsen (kimono and towels provided for it). Available washing machine and drier for a fair price. Extremely clean. Breakfast fair enough. You also have the option to have dinner at their restaurant (we did not visit any other restaurant in the area so we cannot say whether it was more or less expensive, better or worse than other options. It was simply enough and very comfortable option after a long day).

Weekend the room is far more expensive than weekdays

One of the best locations you can stay if visiting Hakone as it's right beside the cable car to get you up the mountain. The Yunessun Onsen complex free shuttle bus also goes from directly across the road(great for kids and adults who want to try a non nude Onsen)Hotel is modern and minimalist in design. Good restaurant on site, breakfast is satisfying. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was expensive relative to the rest of Japan but good value for Hakone.

Located directly next to Gora station after a beautiful train ride up the mountains, this place was an incredible value for the cost. A couple of restaurants nearby and walking distance to the Hakone Open Air Museum. The hostel itself is very modern and the staff spoke English well. The onsen was very nice. Staff is more than happy to hold your luggage before and after check-in/check-out so that you don't need to worry about going there too late or leaving early.

I felt the beds were a bit uncomfortable, but this is more that I am not used to futons.

This hostel was a great place to stay for two nights. Right by Gora station which made it easy to get to and easy to reach popular attractions in the area. The restaurant on site was great and even had vegan/vegetarian options which was a huge relief as there wasn't too many other options around.

Room was excellent, location great and staff exceptional, great to see young professionals who are dedicated to customer satisfaction. Food was exquisite and very accommodating for a vegan and people with allergies, we ate at the restaurant every day. Wifi excellent

Spacious room, friendly staff, on-site onsen (tattoo friendly), next to train station but surprisingly quiet. Pyjamas and special small ones for the toddler provided. Free icy poles and soda in lobby. Room has free amenities like soap, shampoo, conditioner, cotton set and toobrushes. Mini bar is reasonably priced. Restaurant onsite closed Monday and Tuesday. But the pot a feu soup was really delicious

Breakfast. We were asked to make a reservation, no problem. Went down at our allocated time and everything was cold. Cold egg, cold bacon, cold sausages. The little stewed chicken pots were cold. It was rather unpleasant. We left before breakfast was available on the second day so not sure if this is a usual problem.

The staff were very attentive and kind at all hours :) The rooms were very clean and spacious compared to Tokyo. I was worried that the onsen would get full but there was always space when I checked in the evenings. On my last night, I had the onsen to myself which was a special experience that people pay a premium for elsewhere. This accommodation is very close to Gora Station, which makes it easy to get to from Tokyo and allows easy transport to Lake Ashi. Also the free shuttle bus for the Pola Museum is right outside the accommodation, and there are many parks/museums within a 10-15 minute walking distance.

Pay attention to the location. After 5PM, there isn’t much to do in the area and there are limited restaurants that are open. This worked for me, as someone who likes to relax in the evenings, but may not please busybody travelers!
