This was the friendliest hostel I visited in Japan! The environment was very international and welcoming, with an extensive kitchen (even had a rice cooker) and sitting space (including bench seats for work/study). The staff occupied the shared area and initiated friendly conversation. The capsule bed dorms I stayed in were basic, but effective, and private.

The washing machine was dirty and left my clothes not as clean as I would have hoped. There wasn't space to store non-refrigerated food as this seemed to be all used by the staff. Not necessarily negative, but although there were female-only dorms, the floor was mixed, and the bathroom was also mixed.

The people at the guesthouse are amazing, both the staff and guests. You can leave your luggage in an area near the reception desk, and you also can leave your valueable belongings in a locker (fits a medium sized backpack). You can use the common area along with the kitchen and a fridge. There is a lot of showers in which you will also have some space to leave your clothes and a towel. In case you don't have your own towel, you can rent it from the guesthouse during check-in. The beds are also equipped in a lamp and a small shelf. You will have an amazing time there!

It can be noisy sometimes and the check-in is available in a short period of time, but eventually if you arrive late, it won;t be a problem for you.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Whenever we had any issue, they saw to it immediately. Great location, everything was within walking distance. Spacious living room to chill. There are a lot of showers.

The AC stopped working and it was very hot, making it difficult to sleep. The next day they put a mobile AC unit, which was not enough and made noise. We opted to change rooms. There was just one kitchenette (2 burners).

We took the private bedroom for three people and didn't expect much because a lot of reviews complained about hard mattress and humidity. The room was PERFECT, specious and just great. There is also so much privacy in this hostel- bathrooms are shared but it's not like public toilets, there is a room for each. Also showers are a tiny room per shower which gives you lots of privacy. The common area is super cozy and there is even Nespresso for only 50 yen! Also, location is amazing.

Only thing that the pillows are more Japanese and can be hard for a lot of people

Good Location, very near to peace memorial, nice facilities, clean room and shower/restrooms, Excellent common spaces and kitchen 👌. The Argentinean lady in front desk was very kind & helpful (thank you for that!)

Front Desk after hours (night) the Emergency Phone #, basically you will be calling to another Hotel Front Desk and the personnel does not speak English 🤨, any hostel or hotel 'Front Desk employee' should at least speak English. - Common sense - 🤷‍♂️ Mixed gender 🚿shower mmmmmm not nice... (but is common is JPN)

The rooftop private room was great, photos lived up to it and even more. Very spacious and comfortable.

The one thing, was the wifi connection didn't seem to work with any of our phones. The staff couldn't seem to find out the issue. So we were stuck connecting to the common room wifi a floor below which was a bit weak. This is the only negative though. Room was excellent apart from this one nitpick.

What I really liked is the fact that they have lockers for everyone where you can put in your valuable items. And you can enter the hostel 24h, so no worry if you come back home late. The hostel is one of the cheapest options to stay in Hiroshima, yet it's so clean and close to the city center. I definitely recommend it. They even have body soap and shampoo free to use for everyone in the showers.

- The place provided a Kitchen but it wasnt the cleanest, it was backpacker ran so was the best managed. - did not provide communal supplies eg. Oil. A lot of passive aggressive comments around kitchen and on belongings

Room was large and clean. Water available from tap upstairs. Location good, everything in walking distance. Lovely rooftop area.

Staff could be a bit nicer. Not very welcoming and did not apologise when the lift was getting service and we were unable to get to our room as the door was locked.

The location is ideal for exploring the main touristic points of Hiroshima, it is very close to the A-bomb memorial park and museum, and an easy stroll (5 min) to the city centre area where you can find all the options for food and bars. The hostel is also easy to reach from the JR train station by street car, as the stop is only couple of minutes walk from the hostel. The facilities in general were clean and appropriate, the bunk beds have plugs, curtains and you get a access to a locker with no extra charge. We stayed in a mixed bedroom of 8 people in the 5th floor, to access the bedrooms you will be given a code, in there you will have couple of toilet rooms for men and another two for women. The showers are in a different floor, but in my opinion works better as that made our floor being quieter than other the floor where the shower are. They also have a common area by the reception where there are basic kitchen appliances and free nespresso capsules. It was good value for money and it was a good place for spending 2 nights.

The duvets look a bit yellowish, which means that they are either old or in need of more frequent washes. However, the bedsheets provided were super white and clean, so it was fine by me. They have a roof terrace, but unfortunately it looks more like a place where they dump stuff, it could be a really cool place if they clean it a bit more.
