Well positioned, close to the peace park and ferry, close to rail connections and a lovely clean hotel with amazingly helpful staff! The rooms were more than adequate in Japan standards for size, if you lay out your bags properly you can make heaps of room. The bathroom was spot on great! Water hot, shower head strong and a large shower recess and a very good toilet! The breakfast was very very nice, the breakfast staff couldn’t do enough for you to make the start of the day a good one with a great variety of western and Japanese options, get the breakfast package with your room you will enjoy it and get a good start to the day!

Nothing, you could not find a better located value for money hotel in Hiroshima

Very comfortable place to stay near the Peace Memorial Park, restaurants, convenience stores and transit connections! The provided lounge wear and bed were very comfortable and the staff were lovely. The breakfast was really delicious and there was a huge variety, from create your own onigiri, to Japanese curry, eggs, sausages and croissants! Would definitely stay here again!

The location was great close to peace park and close enough to the railway station to walk The rooms had the best black out curtains I’ve ever seen- when my alarm went off the room was really dark but when I opened the blinds it was bright sunny morning…. so points for that 😊😊😊👍👍👍

Nothing with the hotel The only issue we had was at the railway station when we arrived and no taxi would take us (3 adults and 1 teenager) and our luggage After several taxis refused we caught the bus which luckily wasn’t too full so we could get to the hotel. But none of that was the hotel’s fault!!!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Smile Hotel. The location is excellent--a 15 to 20 minute walk to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial. The Hiroshima Castle is about the same. There's plenty of restaurants, bars, and shopping in the immediate area. It was also close to Hiroshima Station and Mazda Zoom Zoom Stadium. A taxi cost about 1300 yen from there. It's easily walkable without bags. The room is small but very clean, comfortable, and well organized. There was no noise from the street or the halls. The blackout shade was not only beautiful, but kept out the smallest trace of light. The beds were very comfortable. The staff is courteous and helpful, with some English spoken. The breakfasts had both Western and Japanese dishes with good coffee. Again, the staff was fantastic in keeping everything clean and well stocked.

The hotel is only a few bus stop from Hiroshima Station. So good to get off the bus and you can already see the hotel so it’s a 1 minute walk from bus stop. A huge shopping mall within 10mins walk away. A nearby convenience store and coin laundry opposite the hotel. Dryer at hotel takes much longer so we opted for the one across the road. Breakfast was great (1100 yen/adult), it’s a small dining area but had a lot of options. Lots of restaurants around for dinner options. I think the strip may have a lot of adult entertainment options but we weren't bothered by them. Despite this the rooms were super quiet at night. Did also appreciate the free ice machine. We had a connected twin room for family of two adults and two kids, which was great as it gave us two bathrooms. Room size is moderate for hotel room. Exceptionally clean and liked the full block out blinds. They give clean towels daily if you need and you can put your trash outside the room each morning for collection. I would recommend this place with confidence.

Rooms were great. Everything was really clean. They only did a room clean once a week but dropped off new towels and took rubbish from your door. We quite liked this as one of us works remote, and having to be out of the room for a clean can be annoying. 10min walk to bus/trams Family mart and restaurant right outside. Good proximity to peace park and the mall/walking street.

On check out, we asked if they could call a tax for us. They said no and to walk up the street. I'm not sure if it's policy, I thought it was weird.

I believe this is a new hotel or recently renovated. The rooms are clean and comfortable enough for 2 people. The bed is quite small for 2 people (aprox 1.90m height). It is well located near the downtown area and peace park so you can walk everywhere. You can access Hiroshima station by talking the loop bus which stops around the corner. There is a laundry place across the street and you also have laundry stations in the hotel (they give you free detergent) overall i recommend it for a short stay in Hiroshima

Breakfast was a disappointment, Service was good but the food options where mid at best. they had eggs which you had to get them as soon as it came out otherwise they would be cold. Bacon was not cooked so it was just ham and sometimes you can get potatoes or not. No pancakes or anything like that. Very basic coffee options. I would not pay extra for breakfast unless you are looking for a convenient option.

The staff were amazing. The male chief concierge spoke excellent English and gave us lots of tips. The young female staff were all friendly and so helpful. Good size rooms and the interconnecting rooms were large and each had a bathroom. The beds were comfortable. An easy walk to Peace Park, Museum, Dome and the jetty for the fast ferry to Miyajima Island. The Caffe Pointe was an excellent Italian restaurant with great prices, service and food. We used the fast ferry one way to Miyajima Island and the JR ferry and tram the other way. Both great experiences. Just 2 blocks down and 2 blocks across is the Don Quixote discount store, where we bought a 1L Jack Daniels for only AUD$30!! Great to pack in our checked in suitcase, wrapped in bubble wrap and clothing around. Also in this street is great little restaurant called "Ceppo" which catered to our family of 10's varied tastes. Also many other good eating places around and Karoke bars.

It would have been a little easier if the staff could have called the taxis but luckily had young family who were familiar with ordering Ubers for our family of 10

Great value for money! The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and with this pricing I consider it a pretty good size for Japan standard. Love how they have coin laundry, and there is a microwave that you can use on the ground level for free. We stayed in a twin room. Location was great, plenty of restaurant choices and public car park around the hotel. Because we were driving so I can't tell you how convenient it is for public transport. They don't do daily clean but that's okay you do get what you pay for! But they will put clean tiowels on your door everyday. They kept all the amenities in the lobby like tooth brushes, hairbrush nightgowns etc are free to take.

It would be great if they would change the dryer to a commercial one. The clothes took forever to dry. if you consider doing your laundry you do have to keep that in mind .

Great location in Hiroshima, close to Peace Boulevard, where you could walk from the hotel to the Peace Memorial Park and Peace Memorial Museum. The area around the hotel was lively with several restaurant options. The breakfast was excellent, with both Japanese and Western options, and the restaurant staff were very friendly, even helping us to a breakfast box for our early departure.

Only minor things - Some staff members did not speak English, but we easily communicated using a translation app. While the restaurant staff kindly provided us with a breakfast box for our early departure, the receptionist initially mentioned it was not possible, but it all worked out in the end.
