Close to Yokohama Station, so easy to access metro and train lines. Breakfast was included in the price. Good sound isolation of the window, significantly reducing road and railroad noise. Large variety of amenities available for free. Coin laundry was very practical. Staff was very helpful. WiFi was super fast at least in the morning :-) (was OK in the evening)

Cleaning on every third day was promised but first, we needed to ask for it (on the fourth day). English knowledge of the staff wasn't always satisfactory (depending on the staff member). Toilet paper was too thin...

The location was near to the Yokohama station and malls. It was very easy to get around. The room was also very clean and the staff were very nice. The room they provided us was very quiet and not on the side of the train tracks. There was Family Mart below the property so whenever you get hungry, you can always buy food any time. The breakfast has limited offer as it was provided by Beck’s Coffee shop. Over all, it was good place to stay.

When I booked the room, I was under the impression that it was for two people with breakfast already. When I arrived at the hotel, I had to top up and pay extra for the other person.

Location is ideal - 5 min walk to Yokohama Station and right on the walking path that you leads you to shopping and tourist attractions. Lots of dining options in the area. We very much enjoyed a room with two double beds and a couch. It was great to spread out and have a place to sit and read. Although the hotel is next to a busy highway, the windows and walls are soundproof and we slept great. The bathroom was also spacious - a real treat for Japan. Convenience store on the first floor was ideal for stocking the room fridge. We like Yokohama much better than Tokyo, because it's less crowded, less expensive and being so close to the ocean is a treat! Get the walking/tourist map in the hotel lobby. You can get to lots of attractions on foot and walk through parks and along the waterfront.

For Japanese standards, the room could have been a bit cleaner - but overall everything was great and good value.

We stayed at this hotel twice during October. The first stay was not great. We had a standard double room and it was cramped, claustrophobic and uncomfortable. We also faced the railway lines so it was noisy. Our second stay was much better. We booked a deluxe twin room and it was very spacious and faced away from the railway. For some reason, the deluxe room cost us less than the double room. If you’re booking this hotel, check the room size before booking. It’s in a great location, really close to Yokohama station, and there’s a Family Mart right next door.

The hotel is easy to reach from Yokohama Station, approx. 5 minutes walking. The staff at the front desk was very helpful when the automatic check-in machine could not find my booking. After they helped me check in manually I was all set to go. There is a Family Mart located next to the hotel as well which has an ATM machine. All the amenities have to be taken at the front desk but there are some basics (toothbrush, ..) available on your room floor as well. The room itself was a bit smaller than I was used to but you could store luggage under the bed which was helpful. Breakfast is served at Beck's Coffee which is located right next to the hotel, you can reach it via the lobby.

The location is great - it was a very short walk from Yokohama station (きた東口A). There is a convenience store right at the entrance in case you need anything that the amenities do not provide. In addition to standard amenities, you can borrow other items from the hotel as well (for example, my son got a hang nail and we were able to borrow some nail clippers). Check-in and check-out is automated and very smooth. Also, the tap watered is filtered and you can drink it.

This isn't necessarily a point I did not like, but it is one point that made it a little difficult as someone traveling with small kids. For breakfast, you are given a voucher to use at the cafe (Beck's Coffee) on the first floor. This option is great if I was traveling alone, but not optimal for small children (but we could get things at the convenience store nearby, so not a real issue). The bed is raised, which allows you to store your suitcase under the bed, but this also means that kids will crawl under it. The rooms are generally clean, but when my toddler crawled under the bed he came out with a lot of dust bunnies and trash on his shirt.

Location a stone's throw from Yokohama Station. Minimart connected to the hotel. Cafe on site for a quick breakfast ! Storage of luggage before formal check in. Near malls and places to grab a meal. Easy connection to various lines, including the Keikyu Line to Haneda Airport. I booked a second night here, impromptu, as a place to rest for 3 pax before a night flight. (1) The room we had was different from the 1st night - this one had a separate WC, sink and shower room. Handy for multiple, concurrent uses. (2) The other room from the first night was an adjoining room so we had 2 bathrooms to use - just as handy. So check for these features to best suit your needs ! The Inn is next to the train tracks but pretty much sound proof rooms and trains stop running after 10-11pm. I was too tired to hear anything anyway ! Not fussed especially as it was a stopover.

I booked for 1 night initially, at the end of a cruise before departing via Haneda Airport. Booked a second night subsequently via Booking.com because the rack rate at the hotel was much higher. I was surprised how close the Inn was to Yokohama station and how convenient it was to access the Keikyu Line to go to the airport, in 30 mins on an express train ! Check in was easy and I was able to store my luggage in the morning before exploring Yokohama, since formal check-in was only from 3pm. The front counter staff were helpful and offered useful advice to queries, including a place to get a replacement luggage/suitcase, as mine had been damaged. Breakfast the next day was conveniently located at Beck's cafe downstairs - and we each had a coupon for a choice of 1 of 3 set breakfasts, which was otherwise priced at 800 yen. It was an ample meal with a salad/yoghurt, a hot item, and a hot plus cold beverage. Check out was automated and quick - you just had to slide in all the key cards in your possession and you're done ! I'll choose Sotetsu Fresa Inn Yokohama Higashiguchi again on my next visit here :) p.s. There are huge malls nearby like Sogo and Takashimaya - so save time for it !

I was charged 2000 yen to dispose of my damaged luggage, even if I could walk to a proper drop off point. In hindsight, I could have just left it in the room upon check out. Anyway .... This might explain why there are NO public trash-cans found anywhere, and you are encouraged to bring a bag, to store your trash while out , before putting it into the trash cans in your hotel room or at home.

The location is the main appeal for guests. With 5 minutes' walk from Yokohama central train station, I can conveniently take all bullet trains, airport express trains and local subways. Yokohama is also a quick commute to Tokyo with less expensive room rates than Tokyo. Tourists from many nationalities do stay here. Although the receptionists may not speak English fluently, they provide excellent and courteous service. The hotel recommends guest to opt for towel change without room cleaning on the 2nd and 3rd night, while a thorough room cleaning is done on the 4th night. Then, the cycle repeats. Unlimited free toiletries and ironing board are available from reception counter. There is also a 24-hour Family Mart convenient store connected to the lobby.

The inclusive breakfast in the cafe could have better choices. I stayed for one week, but only had 3 breakfast sets to choose. However, it is a basic stay inn, so I cannot expect much. The rooms are small with enough space for luggage to roll in.

The staff were exceptional, incredibly polite and welcoming! They instantly put you in a better mood as soon as you check in and greet them as you pass by. The rooms were clean and spotless as expected! Our rooms were in fact two rooms connected by a door, which can be closed for more privacy. General toiletries were already present in the bathrooms, but they offer a more environmental friendly option of self servicing for additional toiletries such as, toothbrush/toothpaste, combs, razor, etc. There is literally a 24h convenience store with a healthy selection of items connected to the hotel on ground floor, should you require any late night snacks. There is also a cafe located next to the convenience store and the Yokohama station is just minutes away from the hotel.
