Staff was fenomenal, they were really kind and ready to help with whatever is needed. The breakfast is big and tasty. Free coffe is available at the machine in the lobby. The hotel has a great location with many convience stores, restaurants and attractions at walking distance. You can leave your luggage after checking out and explore the city.

The beds are too hard for our taste. It is important to note that room cleaning is done once in 3 days and only if requested a day earlier at the reception.

The location is great, and is surrounded by some quick food and shop options. The bed was comfortable and the shower pressure was great! we had read reviews criticising some aspects of this hotel so we were apprehensive but were really pleasantly surprised. Although the staff have limited English this made no difference to the quality of service they offered. Check-In was swift with the receptionist using her Google translate app to give us all of the information we needed. The breakfast was incredible value for money. Remember you are in Japan so the breakfast was light and tasty. A selection of changing pastries, yummy bread to make toast with (butter, jam etc available), some delicate bowls of egg, sausage and little soy sauces meatballs. all teamed up with fruit juice, fresh coffee and tea. I mentioned to my husband on the second day that there weren’t any little bowls of egg like the day before but that I was fine with just toast, within a couple of minutes the lovely lady serving breakfast said my name and handed me a little bowl of eggs after hearing our conversation. All in all this place is fantastic value for money. No, it’s not a 4 star hotel but they don’t claim to be. It’s a comfortable place to start and end your day exploring a stunning city.

The rooms are a little bit dark and the AC wasn’t great but these were very minor things. There weren’t many close plugs to the bed but we found an extra usb port on the desk which saved the day!

The location is perfect, close to bus stops and subway, you can take a train to Osaka from this station. The room and bathroom are big, the biggest bathtub I have seen in Japan. The spaces were clean and the decorating is cozy.

The blinder were not working perfectly and it was extremely bright in the morning, I needed to use a sleeping mask. The bed was a bit too hard but not uncomfortable.

The clothes driers were horrifyingly dirty The washing machines were OK. However, dirt/dust was dangling from the driers above. Really disgusting

The rooms for being in Japan (usually small) had a good size, however the window had a wall view. The breakfast was just ok, but acceptable to have energy. But the best of this hotel was the location, perfect to go to all landmarks, in a neighbourhood with amazing typical izakayas and with the traditional essence.

The hotel was situated near the trains and buses so very east to travel around. Excellent washing machines. Plenty of hot water. Very quiet Unusual breakfast with lots of mayonnaise salads. However there was always a mini serving of scrambled eggs and bacon, toast, tea. Coffee. Juice. All unlimited

Location was amazing, so close to not only the bus terminal but also train and subway stations. Lots of eating options nearby as well. Room was comfortable enough for what we needed. Very neat and tidy.

Would have loved a second chair in the room, as well as more bin options.

Japanese business hotel but with a bigger room than average for this type, so a very much welcome plus. Clean and quiet room. Good breakfast and very nice staff accommodating the needs of my vegetarian partner and providing useful suggestions for vegetarian-friendly locations for dining in Kyoto.

Mattress was a bit too hard, actually a plus for most people, not for me!

The room was bigger than all the hotels we stayed at for this trip. It was clean and warm. The bath was great. The coin laundrette was great as we travel light. The bed was confortable and provides 3 nights of good sleep. There was a microwave which allow us to warm our food. The location is great for travel to all the sights. The only down side was there was no view.

Clean, new, close to Omiya/ ShijoOmiya station. It had everything we needed such as disposable slippers, hairbrush, hair dryer, towels, cotton buds, cotton pads, tooth brush, refrigerator, laundrette, shampoo/ conditioner and body soap. I’d be more than happy to stay here again.
