Great hotel, very nice for the price. There are not 5-star amenities, like a large lobby with a restaurant and bar, but the rooms are very spacious, very clean, and modern. The staff is very nice and helpful. They helped us with restaurant advice and other suggestions throughout our stay. I would stay here again.

This is out of the properties control, but I would have like to see a coffee shop that is a little closer to the property. There was a very neat boutique coffee place about a block away which we went two a couple of times, however, $12 for a cup of coffee was a little too much for my taste. The location of the property is good, however, it's not in the heart of the main shopping and eating district, so you have to plan for a 10-15 walk.

Very spacious & clean room. Nice quiet neighborhood. Friendly staff & room were clean. Check in was done before arrival via online which save us alot of time.

The staff was great. We unexpectedly had to had very early check-in and we had barely any hopes we'd work but still tried. They accommodated us and in 20-30 min we had the check-in done. So yeah, very nice of them.

I guess there were two things I didn't like, although small. 1 - The windows didn't open. We were in a room for 4 people. Opening windows is needed sometimes. 2 - No nice place to get the towels to dry. I usually don't need extra towels in such a short stay, but here I did because the towels were always damp from the previous shower. There were no nice places to have them hanged to dry.

This place is really lovely, well presented and very clean. The kitchenette has basic equipment but definitely enough to make breakfast and simple meals. We were on the ground floor which meant natural light was limited. It would have been nice to be able to open the outdoor terrace door for some ventilation but I believe this is only for emergencies. The location is great! We loved exploring the area and found it well connected to train stations and walkable to a lot of other attractions. We don’t mind walking so might be worth mapping distances is walking is a problem. Taxis are also very affordable. All in all a great stay.

The reception team could be a bit more welcoming and friendly.

The ORI hotel in Kyoto was fantastic. The rooms were spacious and luxurious with comfortable beds. Staying with kids, we thoroughly enjoyed the room's layout and space. The bathrooms were lovely, and the bathtub was huge for Japan. The facilities, including washing machines, were very convenient. The staff was friendly, and the hotel’s central location made it easy to walk to public transport. We loved our stay and would definitely return. Highly recommend.

I loved the hotel.

The location was just two blocks from kashiwayacho avenue full of stores, close to several subway stations and bus lines. The room was very nice, there was a washing machine for 300 yen per cycle and a dryer for free.

The cleanliness of the room was not the best because there were lint balls and hair, the television could not be connected to youtube to watch television in our language. One night I asked for a wakita to sweep the room and the employee lent it to me without any problem. The next night I asked for it again but another employee told me that it was only for the maintenance staff. Other than that they were super friendly. The room had a view of a wall.

The accommodation was located in a quiet street and it's about a 10min cab ride from Kyoto station which was convenient for us as we were making day trips to Osaka and Hiroshima with Kyoto as a base. There is a self storage luggage room with locks provided. You can get pyjamas, toothbrush, slippers, combs and other amenities once you enter the front doors which was a nice touch. We used to washing machine and dryer to do some laundry during our stay. Each washing cycle costs ¥300 with a washing pod provided. The dryer is heavy duty so it dried our clothes really quickly. There are also plates, cutleries, a sink with washing liquid provided. Stephanie at the front desk was really lovely and helpful to us throughout our stay.

As our room was next to the washing machine and dryer, we could hear the dryer beeping sound throughout the night because someone didn't close the dryer door after use. Probably best to leave a sign informing users of that to avoid noise disturbance. We could also hear our neighbour entering the pin to enter their room which kept happening as they were going in and out a lot through the night.

Robes were a great touch as I was sick of wearing the same pyjamas around. Layout was pretty and great showcase of Japan rather than standard looking rooms.

Couldn’t turn on the stove and unable to troubleshoot why. Same problem with all the places we stayed at. Unable to check in earlier. No lock left to lock up luggage while we waited after check out. You need to buy more as there is sufficient space but insufficient cable locks. Unable to cast Netflix onto tv. Sensor light should be able to be turned off as an option and too many red/green lights lit at night around the room. Cushions for big bed were smelly. Toilet doors were very loud and you needed to push it all the way back to reset it so you can close it. Dish drying rack form DAISO needed in the room. Not enough pillows.

Loved the hotel, everything was very comfortable and clean. The staff was very helpful and accommodating with our late check-in. All listed amenities were available, including air conditioning, laundry, etc, as well as umbrellas for guests. The shower in particular was very spacious and comfortable. The location is very central with quick access to the subway station, as well as shops and restaurants (we loved the Life supermarket nearby for their prepared meals). All in all, our stay in Kyoto was great!

Nothing in particular

Absolutely loved the layout; the room size was perfect for a group of four. The table was great to eat at, the freezer was a plus, and the shower size was huge! Needless to say, it was great for nights we wanted to make food; there was a microwave, a water heater, plates, bowls, etc.

In our case specifically, we did not have a good view out our window. It was blocked by a couple of AC units and a note than said do not open window. Now, we didn't ask for a better view or to change rooms because we didn't really care. Everything else was amazing.
