This townhouse is an amazing experience and a great place to stay in Kyoto. Just a 10 minute walk to the amazing Fushimi Inari shrine, which is the best as you can go there in the late evening and see this beautiful place with no crowds, which is magical. Check-in is made in a hotel near Kyoto main train station and they provide a complimentary taxi from the hotel to the townhouse or a complimentary luggage delivery. It is well equipped, renovated, comfortable, clean and spacious. Two bedrooms, one with two normal beds and second with futons, which we absolutely loved. The staff at the hotel was lovely. Absolutely recommend to stay there!

Stairs are quite steep to the first floor, which may be uncomfortable for people with disabilities. A little bit loud at night as the walls are not soundproof and it's next to main road, it's good to have a pair of earplugs with you.

The location was fabulous! Within minutes from the Fushimi Inari shrine and the Fushimi Inari Keihan train station and the Inari JR train station. There were so many eateries and shops in the day. Shops close by 6pm though and the eateries close by 8pm. There’s even a small eatery right outside the house (literally). As it’s a Machiya we experienced a traditional Japanese home that was really interesting. The living area on the ground floor was spacious and comfortable. Do note that you probably cannot carry large luggages upstairs as the stairway is narrow. So we accessed our luggages in the living room, which was fine as the bathroom is downstairs. There is a WC upstairs so don’t worry about having to come down if you need the toilet in the night. Loved the little zen garden as well. I loved having my morning coffee at the garden. Response to queries prior to our stay was prompt and helpful. The staff provided clear instructions how to get to the hotel for our transport to the townhouse.

Housekeeping could be improved. The air vents need to be cleaned as they are pretty filthy. Perhaps to also give the washing machine a good clean as it was quite dirty when I wanted to use it. So I ran one empty wash first and cleaned the drum before putting my wash in. Hardly any interaction with the staff except for the check in when they sent us in a taxi from Rinn Kyoto Station Hotel to the townhouse. We were a little disappointed when they couldn’t help us book a taxi on our departure to Kyoto Station claiming they were “overbooked” which I didn’t understand. Eventually we downloaded the Didi app and tried our luck calling for our own taxi. The staff could have provided some advice on how to book a taxi since we’re obviously not familiar as tourists.

The accommodation was incredible and the staff were absolutely wonderful and helpful. They assisted us with luggage transfer and the little touches when the housekeeper set up the kids toys after making the bed made our children smile. It was fabulous and if we are back in Kyoto we will stay here again. So convenient to Fushimi Inari, I climbed the mountain early each morning before the hoards of tourists. Magical!

Everything was awesome - beautifull accomodation in japanese style including 2 atrium gardens, fully equiped including slippers, yucatas and written manual to absolutelly everything. Washing mashine has drying functions, so there is no hanger for drying laundry. If i had a house in Japan, it would look like this. We would appreciate little thicker futons.

Excellent location near Fushimi Inari Shrine. Two train lines close by to get anywhere you want to go. Convenience store very close. The apartment was lovely and very clean.

Our stay was wonderful so it's difficult to find a fault. To be picky, kitchen was a little small so if you want to make your own meals it's hard to find room. Lots of food available around the area so this didn't bother us at all.

It’s in a great location, 2 minutes to a train station and 3 minutes to the amazing shrine. The townhouse was very spacious. It had an excellent bathroom with a deep bath to soak in. Lots of good places to eat and drink nearby.

The noise from the nearby road was a bit loud at night.

The interior was very beautiful, and the place itself was clean, convenient and spacious. Note that you will have to get the key from a different place from where you will be staying but it's not inconvenient at all. The staff will call you a taxi (which shall be paid by them) to bring you to your actual accommodation.

The kitchen area is very small and difficult to use due to lack of space. For example, there is nowhere to place dishes as they are being washed or to easily prepare food.

Great clean and spacious traditional house within walking distance of the magnificent Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine. It's a bit outside the busy city center of Kyoto, but easily reachable by train.

The kitchen is very small so preparing food is not easy.
