It's the best lodge I've ever stayed at! It's very clean and cozy. There is a dry room that helps you dry all your gear. The vibe makes me feel at home. There’s an Endless Pub open until late evening, just downstairs from the lodge. The burgers, pizzas, and drinks are amazing! I highly recommend the Endless Burger, Teriyaki Chicken Pizza, and Chuhai (a soju-based drink). I also met a lot of friends there who love sharing their skiing experiences. Breakfast is included, with a variety of options such as yogurt, bacon, eggs, coffee, juice, toast, etc. The staff are incredibly helpful. I would particularly like to thank Taka—he helped me sort out a tricky late pickup on New Year's Eve. I really appreciate your help! I also enjoyed chatting with all the staff. The chairlift to Cortina Ski Resort is just 150 meters away from the lodge, and Cortina is also connected to Norikura Resort. The HV Shuttle Bus to other ski resorts stops right at the entrance (Satomi Stop). If you're a beginner, you can always enjoy Tsugaike Ski Resort, which is just two stops away from Satomi. I will definitely come back for the next snow season!

Can I say nothing?

Agree with others: super friendly and always super helpful staff (particular thanks to Taka, Maya and Shaun), great location less than 5 minutes walk from the slopes, where you strap in and ski/ride down ~150m to Alps Lift number 8. From the top it's an easy traverse across to Cortina Lift 6 and access all of Cortina. These closest lifts were never busy, even during our stay at LNY. Sadly, Alps Lift 9 broke a few weeks before our arrival. This lift would have also given easy access to Norikura, but instead getting there required a undulating 250m skate/push/walk (or bus). However, you can ski/ride back from Alps Lift 6. Staff make it easy to organise lift passes (can buy each day, ¥5600 in 2025 to access both Cortina and Norikura). They can do transfers, but the Hakuba Valley bus stop, Satomi, to all of the other resorts is literally just outside. Daytime bus frequency are 1 or 2 an hour and cost ¥800 no matter the distance. There is a large drying room to access from outside to store and hang gear, then walk inside. Easy. Could leave luggage after checking out by 10am, ski/ride the day and then get the bus to Nagano. The bar downstairs was definitely popular, with many from the Hakuba Cortina Hostel around the corner spending time in the evening there. Each night had something on, such as pool tournament, and it was full and loud as you would think. This wasn't a problem for us as we expected it, but probably not great for families. However, our room on the 3rd floor at the back was always quiet, and we never felt disturbed. Restaurant only does burgers, pizza, bar snacks, etc. Not much else in the area, lots closed during Covid. Stayed in a double ensuite 'western' room. Room was small (which was expected), not lots of storage space, just a large shelf with a rail for hangers underneath. Would benefit from adding hooks/hanging points of the back of the door and walls. Only one socket. Terrestrial TV and hairdryer.

Unfortunately, a big (and suprising minus) for us was no sink in the room. While there was a tap as part of the shower stall, washing hands, brushing teeth, shaving and sorting out a menstrual cup (sorry if TMI) was not fun. It seems not all rooms lack this feature, but it would be THE reason we wouldn't return.

Easy walk to the ski lift, friendly staff and owners. Breakfast was also great before skiing! The room was bigger than we expected

Great to have the restaurant downstairs for breakfast and other meals. Super close to slopes. Staff were very helpful in organising shuttles to other resorts. Manager truly went above and beyond to support us with a number of fumbles across our trip and we are forever grateful.

The reception is closed from 10am to 4pm which is a bit inconvenient but you can contact on WhatsApp. Restaurant had limited menu. Not really anything else food wise in the area but you can make do with Ubers etc

Luckily I was able to get a booking last minute! Loved being close to cortina and having the bus stop right outside the front door. Very convenient 👌

Little bit of a younger crowd, not that I didn't like, but I'm not much of a partier! It's a good thing if you like to be social and have cool people to hang out with for some night life in the sleep village of Satomi!

Before we arrived Mel was very helpful in answering my questions. From the moment we were picked up from the train station the staff were first rate and made us feel right at home. We really liked how quiet the area was, perfect for young families. The breakfast was great.

Despite the staff being on hand to take us back and forth from the station, slopes etc.. which they were always more than happy to do, it would be good to have formalised shuttle service schedule.

The property and people that worked there are great and will help you out with absolutely anything, so close to go snowboarding just at the end of the street. 10/10, will be back again for sure.

Close to lifts with a welcoming and happy atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable with exceptional value for money.

It was too good, now I will spend all my money coming back each year.

The location was fantastic, right on the slopes next to a ski-lift. The staff were very helpful and arranged ski-equipment and lift passes for us. Included breakfast was a bonus and convenient before a big day on the slopes.
