Exceptional location, unbelievable breakfast and dinner buffet included in room rate, stunning views from room/restaurant/onsen , best onsen/public bath in Hakuba, free equipment locker 20m from ski lift, AWESOME relaxed holiday atmosphere with no late night noisy bars.

Was unable to book for next year until about 6 months before I was told. I wanted to lock in a few weeks next season . Magic location, powder catcher valley, ski in ski out (snowboard in my case!) Brilliant.

The best ski-in ski-out hotel in Cortina area. Staff are extremely helpful particularly the front desk team both day and night shift. There are Chinese speaking staff to assist us too and special thanks to Miss榎林.

Our private van with a local Japanese speaking driver was stuck in a snow storm on arrival date 6 km from the hotel. But the emergency telephone no. in all webpages are for room reservation only and no one will pick up the phone after 6 pm either. As our storm-stuck accident happened at 6 pm, we were very desperate to call the hotel for help and eventually we were only able to reach the hotel after two hours struggling calls. Though the hotel immediately arranged hotel car to rescue us, it would be much better if front desk or telephone operator number can be provided in public domain.

The location for this property is why we choose it- since we only had 3 days for skiing and it was a ski in ski out hotel. The challenge was that there wasn’t much else to choose from to eat- except their buffet style expensive restaurant. We almost paid the same amount for the food as for the room. The room itself was pretty cool with a Japanese style tatami mats and lounge area, but the beds were very old and mattresses were horrible. But we were so tired from skiing we didn’t care. The onsen was the highlight of the property and had incredible views of the mountain.

Great mountain to ski in and ski out. Staff were friendly Good onsen to used every night after skiing.

Hotel is too far from everything else. Not much choice for the food, dinner has only one place open. Took us 1 hour to get to Happo station where the action, food and bars is. No bus transportation after 4 pm. So if you need to go to Happo you need to take a taxi and is about $50-$60 USD one-way. Also, the hotel is a bit old-style. We stay in the room for 6 people, but only one bathroom in the room to use.😔

A wee distance from Happo, the local town, which means not many options for restaurant/dinner without catching a shuttle to the nearest village or Happo, and if looking at a late night it's either last shuttle or a spenny cab. Buffet costs a bit but has great options so still reasonable value if the appetite is high, and an all you can drink option at a small extra cost, which is great.

Location was superb. Ski in ski out. Hotel onsens were great after a long day on the mountain. Buffet breakfast and dinner were ok. Good selection of foods but these were pretty much the same every day.

Could do with a place to sit down and relax other than your room. Would be a great addition if they had a bar or lounge that you could enjoy in the evening after dinner.

Great location to ski Cortina! Felt very traditional and felt like we were the only western guests at the time. Buffet breakfast was amazing! Great onsen. Room was spacious and had everything we needed. We took the direct bus from Cortina back to Nagano which made our travel a lot easier.

The hotel is isolated from other restaurants and town - any more than two nights here would have been too long. One night at the buffet was enough!

Friendly and helpful staff. Ski rental and lockers on site and straight out onto the Cortina pistes. Well organised buffet system with a plentiful and wide selection of food.

A little trickier to get in and out of the resort, at least in terms of speed. Slow train from Matsumoto to MinamiOtari but free shuttle from there to the hotel was good.

Location Onsen Food quality for price

It would be a great addition if there was a small cafe / bar where one could buy small meals/snacks if one could not eat a full buffet. Also, a bar where one could buy alcohol separate from having a meal. Some mould behind the bathroom taps

On-slope accommodation was super convenient. The room was large and had a great view. Loved using the onsen after a day on the slopes. Staff were super kind and accommodating for our requests. Staggered meal times to try to reduce over crowding during covid times.

Buffet meals were ok, but lacked any significant change in menu (we stayed 4nights) so it got a bit repetitive. Unfortunately no transport provided by the hotel from Hakuba
