The hotel is newly renovated, with great design and the common areas are really nice. The room was very nice, super comfortable bed and the bathroom also had a really spacious shower “onsen style”. From the terrace you can see the park and the deers, so it feels very relaxing. Location is really strategic, walking distance from the metro station and the main temples.

Breakfast was really good but western breakfast was not available and they were not flexible in accommodating my request of switching certain elements of the set. I understand and support not doing a full cleaning everyday to save energy and water, but I do not understand why they cannot come and tidy up the room, make up the bed, change the glasses and so on. they also provide you with new towels every day and these seems less environmental friendly than a general tidy up.

Perfect location, couple minutes walk to the main area of shops and restaurants but also a terrace on the park where you can enjoy a coffee with views of deer! Best shower we had in Japan- very powerful, comfortable beds and nice dark room at night. Oh and best green tea in the room I’ve ever had!!

Maybe I misunderstood but I didn’t realise the hotel lobby was also a public cafe, so it’s very busy there all the time. The terrace is not for hotel guests only but anyone can come have a coffee, which is a shame as then there is nowhere to sit a relax for a while with a book.

The superior Mountain View was a treat, spacious enough for 4 with views of the park. Deer would come through the park every afternoon. There’s also a view of kofuku-ji pagoda although it is being restored and mostly covered with scaffolding. Breakfast was the same everyday but very good. The communal tea room in the basement was lovely.

The hotel attempts to run a bar/cafe out of the area where you eat breakfast which includes the terrace. It looks like it would be a great common area for guests but they’re expecting paying customers to sit there outside of breakfast. At the same time, the menu isn’t very extensive. They offer snacks and 1 or 2 noodle dishes. There are also basement rooms and I could see the experience not being the same as ours if you are in a basement room.

- excellent location on the edge of Nara Park with most of the main attractions and the Keiretsu station (for fast connections to Kyoto) 10 min away - Very elegant modern Japanese interior design. There is obviously a lot of attention that went into the hotel decoration. - Both Japanese and Western breakfasts were exquisitely presented and really tasty. The breakfast room has a large open view on the park with the deers grazing right outside the hotel terrace - Super friendly and helpful staff. They upgraded us to a larger room when we complained about our initial room. They also helped us to arrange for a taxi at the last minute and called over 5 different companies until they secured one

- We were initially given one of the smallest rooms (ending in 10 or 11). The room was very small even by Japanese standards and was half the size of most other rooms. We only had 2 nights in Nara so we’re not too fussed but it would be too small for a longer stay and for people travelling with much luggage. The biggest issue was that the room ( and the other ones ending in 10 or 11) was close to the elevator and the noise and vibration kept us up the whole night. We got upgraded to the largest room ( junior suite) for our second night and that was absolutely stunning 😍

The location was excellent as it is situated very close to the main Nara attractions and park and also the restaurants in the old town. We booked a large room that would cater for more than a couple so we were very happy with the room size. The condition and cleanliness of the room, also, very good. Style modern and minimalist and a hint of Japanese traditional flavour. The staff were helpful and friendly and provided assistance as requested. The breakfast was a set breakfast in either western or Japanese versions and was well presented and sufficient. But sometimes a buffet can be fun to be able to mix things up. However I think the set breakfast was in keeping with the hotel's overall policy of minimal waste which I appreciate. Finally, the location is on a no through road next to some parkland with deer. Consequently very quiet.

We selected the Twin room bed configuration. This comment is not restricted to this hotel. But as someone with a back issue I found the beds were not comfortable. Too firm. In general I have found the hotel bed comfort on this trip, hit and miss. Some hotels are comfortable and others too firm. It may be a cultural thing but it's a key decision for me and in the case of this hotel it is an unfortunate negative point that would influence my decision in the future.

It's for sure one of the best hotels if you want to experience a whole day in Nara. It's really close to the Nara Park which gives it a big advantage and you also have a great view to the deers from the hotel! You can see some of them eating and chilling near the hotel! If you want the full deer experience, it doesn't take more than 10 minutes on foot to visit the great Nara park which is huge and its full of deers that you can actually feed them some special treats that they sell really cheap there!.The service is also very friendly, they even offered us free coffee and tea because our room was half an hour late for our check in so they made up! You will not regret booking a room in this hotel!

Amazing hotel, hard to understand how this is only a. 3 star hotel. Staff was great and helpful. Western breakfast was a blast - tasty and beautiful. The cafe balcony touches the Nara lark so you occasionally see deer on your morning coffee view. Theres a stunning weeping Sakura tree as well. We booked the base floor rooms (some reviews called them basements) - the room was amazing - spacious, quiet, very calm vibe with a beautiful window display. The bathroom windows can be opened for those who need the fresh air. Hotel was high class. Also the hotel is a 3 minute walking distance from the Nara park and a 4 minute walk to the main tourist road with Starbucks / Shrines etc

Nit picking here but the AC in the room was super loud. And the air vent for the bathroom as well - super loud and rattling.

Clean and stylish room. Parkinh provided. Pretty good location for tour to Nara park as well as some restaurants nearby.

Breakfast taste was okay but it’s a little small portion for adults. Kids are not included. no blankets provided for kids. Spacious rooms are at the underground. A little dry than other hotel I felt.

I would recommend it to anyone. The room was huge, clean, it was very stylish. Well equipped. Also charger converter was provided. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom was also perfect. The shower was comfortable to use for a tall person. The staff: 5*. There was a tea room on the - 1 level, very chill, very cool. It was like a little spa for the brain. The breakfast was absolutely perfect. We had options, everything was delicious and the staff there was friendly as well. There is a terrace so if you are lucky enough (like we were) you can eat with special company (deers).

This hotel is gorgeous - it is modern and sleek, very minimalist. The room was spacious, especially compared ot other hotels in Japan, and clean. Featured a big bathroom, an electric kettle, a tv set and a fridge. The staff is friendly and helpful. The patio, where you can sip a drink, is such a zen place - you can sit there for hours watching deer and cherry trees. The hotel is located in a quiet street, close (10-minute walk) to the Kofukuji Temple, and around a 20-30 minute walk to the Todaiji one.

Was unable to identify the water dispenser in the basement, despite the directions form the staff.
