Traditional but the same time modern hotel. Huge room with Tanami and the box with everything ready for tea ceremony. Natural sourced hit water used in onsen. Pleasant onsen. Traditional japanese breakfast. We did not try their dinner, but should be also of the top standard. Very close to the lake. You can see bits of lake and passing boats from your windows. Also you can enjoy every evening firework from your room with tatami. Should note that modern facilities in the room are also of top standard: table, two chairs, fridge, TV, lovely bathroom and smart toilet. Staff is very professional and look after you. Good parking for your car. Lovely promenade alongside the lake. Many interesting point to visit by car.

Fantastic. This is a hotel but in the style of a ryoken. I had half board and was served some amazing delicacies for dinner. Breakfast was also provided with a huge choice. Both breakfast and dinner were traditional Japanese meals. No Western food at all, which made it such a great experience. Lots of fresh produce, especially seafood. Drinks were provided from 3pm free. Including sake. The onsen was wonderfully hot, and there is a cute hand spa out the front. It is very convenient right on town and a few minutes from the lake. Also, I was able to do some of the local hikes into the foothills. The Konpirra - yama Foot route is great. Highly recommend this hotel. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Even free bikes for rental.

Please ignore any bad comments you read about this hotel on booking. Com. Because they are not true.I was being fooled by those bad comments. So I didn’t reserve dinner.First of all , this hotel is full of Japanese customers , I probably was the only foreigner there. Secondly, that’s the best breakfast I have ever had in my life. I am fancy hotels membership in Taiwan. 5 stars hotels are part of my life. Honestly , their breakfast is even better than 5 stars hotel’s buffet breakfast. Maybe that’s because I do love Japanese food.Very purely Japanese style breakfast ,Oh, I really love it.The thirdly, their onsen is awesome, the rate of room including breakfast is incredibly cheap. My room is huge . I am only one person having a huge room. Lake Toya area is full of very expensive hotels which I think it is not worthy of spending so much there. Only this hotel, I highly recommend it. It is already on my list must visit at least once in a year.

Nothing. So perfect.

Staff were friendly and welcoming, and incredibly helpful when our travel plans were very different from those of most guests. Facilities were fantastic, the nicest rooms, onsen (and sauna!) of our entire trip. A great base if you want to daytrip up to the skifields of Rusutsu (30~40 mins by local bus), and want to get out of the overly Westernised trappings of the resort.

The gender divide of the onsens was unfair, with a stark contrast between the two facilities. Women have access to the sauna in the morning, men in the evening. As skiers not sitting around the hotel all morning, the women in our group had no access to the sauna.

They offer some snacks and drinks when you check-in. The staff are very friendly and very welcoming. They offer you a ride from and to Toya station for free which is really helpful. It’s also located in the center of everything at Lake Toya so you can just walk to places easily.

Our room had mold in the ceiling and our windows were pretty dirty which made our stay less enjoyable when we decided to watch the fireworks from our room since it was raining outside. Other than that the place is super nice.

The inn was wonderful and staff were helpful and friendly even though I didn’t speak more than a handful of Japanese phrases. The welcome bar was an extremely nice touch. The breakfast was delicious and the onsen was a real treat to experience.

I wasn’t aware that tattoo covers were available at the front desk which meant I was too intimidated to enjoy the onsen fully though that is not the fault of the hotel. I would recommend adding it to any English language information for future perhaps?

Location and staff were great. The room and facilities for the cost to value were a bit lacking. With that said, although it was raining, it's still busy season so being more costly is expected. The room was clean, the breakfast was good, sake tasting was great, the shuttle service was spot on and so I gave a rating of 8 as I'd say overall it is an above average place.

I didn't like that it was raining the whole time and the fireworks were cancelled but this has NOTHING to do with the hotel. Everything was good

The place is nice, conveniently located, clean and functional. The onsen is good, nothing extra fancy but the outdoor hot-spring was nice. The Japanese style rooms have futon so be prepared to have a slightly different sleep experience (harder surface than western style bed). Breakfast is traditional Japanese, fresh and very good. They might accommodate if you have special needs.

The onsen is really quaint n waters great. There is free happy hours sake n other drinks. Service staff is excellent.

The checking system takes a while to get the hang of it. Hotel is located unfortunately just behind the big hotels which block part of the view of Lake Toya but is make up by the reasonable price that hotel is charging.

The dinner service was exellent. While the serving staff spoke broken English, they did there best to explain what each dish was and the order to eat in. Overall very happy with the meal and the overall general stay at this property.
