Bad checking in app, the Chinese version cannot show safety box opening code, have to use Japanese version and this took a long time to solve the puzzle. Checking out app did not provide safety box opening code so we have to leave the key on the table. Then we found there was a late notification email telling us to leave the key in Mailbox. This process is stressful and unsatisfying without help function.

Loved the location and the traditional feel Beds were really comfortable and the room was spacious .Bumped into one of the staff the morning after check in who was really friendly. Rooms were really clean

No staff available at check in. Was a bit tricky at first but we figured it out. Would have preferred an ensuite bathroom but our private toilet was just down the corridor. Shower was downstairs. Not many plugs to charge phones, cameras etc however these were minor things given the great value for money.

Really comfortable rooms, very clean and we really appreciated the towel and yukata left in the room to get changed into for the price. The location was also very convenient for those travelling to Naoshima which is why we were staying there. We also really loved the paper with pictures of food spots, activities and key information around the area, we definitely used it to navigate our stay.

The walls were thin so you could definitely hear noise from other residents, the bathroom facility also weren't the most transparent and the check-in process was a bit complicated.

Perfect place for a day trip to Naoshima, in easy walking distance to the port and to the train station. There is no staff at the property, so we made sure we had all the check in codes they send us beforehand. There is a tablet when you get through the main door where you need to check in, you can pick English and then it is quite easy, scanning passport and taking a photo. The room we had was very nice, we also got a key to a private toilet in the corridor and a private key to a bathroom downstairs. Check out again on the tablet and the keys need to be deposited in the letterbox outside.

It was a bit hard to understand how to check in and we couldn’t find the code to open the main door (no staff). We had some questions but as there is no staff we couldnt ask to anybody but it’s on we had a great stay. The light outside was going into the room

Great location when traveling to Naoshima and Teshima. Close to the port and train station. Self-checking possible anytime. Very affordable.

The walls are very thin, and we could hear people in the next room. There are no curtains in the room, so don't forget your earplugs and eye mask. Only one shared bathroom.

Great guesthouse that exceeded expectations! Booked it last minute because of a schedule mix up but still got an excellent price for the room. We were provided with towels, yukata and a toiletries set. Rooms were equipped with microwave and fridge so this was another plus. The bathroom was also very clean and spacious. Also very conveniently located in the Uno Port area; just about a 10 minute walk from the port and Uno Station.

Only thing that comes to mind is the noise cancellation of the building. We were given a room on the 1st floor that faced the main road, so traffic noises were quite loud. Furthermore, the rooms weren't very soundproof because I could hear my friend talking in the room from the outside. Both weren't problems during our stay because we were the only ones staying there at the time but this could be a problem during the busier period.

Location very good. Close to the ferry to Naoshima island. Even though there was no staff on site the communication through email was very prompt. Basic room but the bed was fantastic. If you stay here a visit to public Onsen is a must! Highlight of my Japan trip.

Ryokan was amazing. Great location, central to everything. Building and rooms were authentic, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. All the extra touches like the robes and artwork were very thoughtful. Favourite Japan stay on our trip. Would highly recommend.

Convenient location to ferry to do Naoshima. <10 min walk to food. Room and facilities were simple clean and comfortable. God value

Was a little confusing figuring out which shower was assigned to my private bathroom and no staff on site.
