Great location, good facilities, large room with plenty of space for luggage, breakfast great too.

We were put on floor 8 on our second stay here, much more disturbance from the road noise at a lower level. The member of staff at check in was not a well versed with regard to cost saving benefit if you don’t have your room cleaned each day. if you do not have your room cleaned you are provided with a shopping card to the value of 500yen/day not cleaned, to spend in Combini stores. She did not openly offer the 500yen card, we had to ask. Once we prompted her about the card she provided it.

Location is key in Japan and this Fraser Residence is just the answer! Super centrally located, lots of convenience stores and tax free shops around and staffs are pretty attentive, polite and helpful. We got assigned a higher room floor near to the elevator which was what I requested, complimentary early check in and luggage storage were all super hassle free. Washer/dryer really good too, works every single day with really nice smelling detergent included. I did not try the public bath though. Really nothing to complained about, especially room size are pretty huge for Japan standards!!

Rooms ceiling are a bit low and it does get pretty stuffy with the heater but thats kind of normal in Japan

We were really impressed with The Fraser Residence Nankai (in Namba, Osaka) and our Deluxe Studio Double apartment. The location is good, within walking distance of Dotombori and Shinsaibashisu-ji Shopping Street (Japan's longest covered shopping street). Very close access to the subway, which will also take you to Shin-Osaka Station if you're travelling by Shinkansen. The lobby is modern and the staff on Reception were very friendly and helpful. It's on a busy street in a busy area but we weren't bothered by noise, except occasional sirens (in every city), lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Excellent ramen restaurant opposite The Fraser. Our room was great, plenty of space, large bed (firm but comfortable), lots of storage in cupboards with shelving. It had a small kitchen/laundry in the entry area, with everything you need to cook and eat in your room. We used the large washer/dryer, it was fantastic. I was worried synthetic items might shrink after drying - everything came out perfect. A decent bottle of laundry liquid is supplied. The bathroom was fine - good shower (in the bath, not separate). Breakfast was included in the rate - it was buffet-style in the cafe next to the lobby. It was very much an Asian-style breakfast - cooked savoury dishes, but included eggs a couple of different ways, small sausages, etc. There was a small container of granola (puffed rice), another of cornflakes, plus plain yoghurt and cut fruit. Also some small sweet pastries and little squares of yummy cakes. I was craving vegies and helped myself to broccoli florets, corn kernels and greens, drizzled with a Japanese dressing, also pickled veg, yum!

Pillows could be better, not very supportive, too flat. There was barely any hot water coming from the hot water tap in the bathroom basin - almost no water at all. I suspect this may be a eco saving solution, but I found it really annoying. (We noticed other hotels we stayed at in Japan had the same issue, but not quite as bad.) When I wash my face or brush my teeth, I like to use warm water - especially in winter!!! To get around it, I used the kitchen sink - the hot water supply was fine there. And no problem with hot water in the shower!

The location was great, it was a short walk to the underground train station, also the underground station was connected to neighboring stations as well. If it was raining you could easily get to the train station and there was so much to shop around the area, also easily walking distance to Dotonburi

it was a little tight in space in the rooms, though we already got the slightly bigger room, there wasn't enough space to hang our clothes and there we a few chairs and tables that we did not necessarily need but took up quite a bit of space that we could do with

The hotel rooms were large for the price with apartment amenities: dishes, fridge, microwave and clothes washer. Beds were comfortable with plush comforters. Soundproofing was excellent - we did not hear any street noise or neighbors over three nights and although our room was closest to the elevator, we did not hear any elevator noise in our room. Breakfast was impressive with both Japanese and European choices, hot foods replenished quickly, cold foods kept cold. Would choose the Fraser Residence Nankai Osaka again if in Osaka.

The breakfast room capacity was small for the size of the hotel and notices were posted in the elevators instructing guests to eat as early as possible and on the tables to leave as quickly as possible.

We loved our stay here. The location is so close to transport from the airport and to everywhere in Osaka and beyond. The staff are extremely helpful and kind while the rooms are spacious. Having a washer dryer is a huge plus! for families, each twin bed was wide enough to fit a parent and a kid. There are lots of food options nearby and walking distance to lots of sights. I highly recommend the Fraser.

The location was literally across the street from Namba train station. There is shopping and a ton of restaurants within a block walk. It was super easy to access our room as the front desk staff were welcoming and kind. The washer/dryer unit in our rooms worked well-they even provided washing detergent--very helpful. I would recommend doing your washing immediately upon arrival as the machines take upto 3 hours to wash and dry. The room itself was clean and tidy. It was nice to spread out a bit as most accommodations in Japan were a little smaller than we are acustomed too. Upon departure, the front desk held our luggage for 5 hours until we needed to head to the airport. There is a direct train from Namba to Osaka airport and costs about $7yen.-nice to hit the easy button for transport.

The hotel was great--nothing to improve

Perfect all around...location was great. Walking distance to restaurants, stores, Namba train/metro, Dontonbori. Very friendly staff who spoke English. The room was laid out very well, stocked well, and was very clean. The included breakfast buffet was also awesome with both western and Japanese options. We were sad to leave our "home" in Osaka and would recommend to everyone!

Can't think of anything.

I absolutely loved staying at this hotel. I actually booked it a bit last minute and ended up re-booking it when we went back to Osaka as we had such a great first experience. First of all, the location is perfect, right next to Namba station, making it very easy for day trips (like Koyasan) or for exploring Osaka. It's 10 min walk to Dotonburi or Den Den town, with so many restaurants and animations in the area. The hotel is super clean and very modern. We had a little flat with a separate bedroom and a living room. There was a huge TV screen with netflix etc. The washing/drying machine was very useful! We didn't cook but there was also everything needed in the kitchen area. Reception is open 24/7. There is a gym and a sauna (which we didn't use). Room was quiet and cosy and a great place to come back to after exploring. Really recommend it!

Nothing, it was all great!

The location and size of the 2 bedroom apartment suited us perfectly. There was a washing machine in the room and so much space to spread out!! But the most outstanding feature was the staff - hands down most well trained hotel staff we’ve come across. They greet you when you come and go, speak great English and had face towels ready when we got caught in the rain. I also wanted to call our Susan (?) for being incredibly helpful and thoughtful when we had to send our luggage to Tokyo. She knew we had to send two luggages the next day and when I went down all the forms were prepared!!! It took next to no time to send. Wow what service. Previously we were in a 4* hotel elsewhere and they took almost 40mins to do the same thing!!! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful and convenient.
