Location, very friendly and helpful staff, large room with bath.

My son was not allowed to use the pool - only found out kids weren't allowed to use the pool after I had booked.

The Staff are very kind and the Hotel is Glamorous. Good location to access pharmacy, market and also the highway to go to other cities like Nara, Kyoto and even Sekigahara, as we did. Very good restaurants (chef style) at the higher floors and decent restaurant at the ground.

The hotel is old, some stuffs are a little old and, in my case, with some cracks (but clean and well manteined). The ground restaurant (where you also have a good breakfast) is limited on options and they insist on bringing the bill to you, and ask for signature, while you are eating. If you are a Lactose Intolerant or even Cow Milk Intolerant, that's not your place to eat, they simply don't have any options, breakfast or dinner/lunch. Other than that, in general, it's good and the food tastes very good.

We had a great stay... there were 3 of us in one room so a little cramped, but it was for only 2 nights/3 days and we really didn't have a problem. We stayed on a higher floor and the view is worth the price... the whole family enjoyed that every day! We watched the sunrise and it was beautiful the first morning. Get the river view, it is worth it. I did a quick run along the river, just beautiful! The staff were phenomenal!! They were so attentive and helpful, everywhere we went... lobby, checking in/out, restaurant, room service, Executive Lounge... they were fantastic!

Can't really think of anything important that we didn't like. I was thinking about running on the treadmills, but you had to pay for a spa to do that, hardly a big deal when I could just run along the river instead. So no complaints really.

The room size was big and had a great view overlooking the Sakuranomiya Beach. The room was clean and the staff really attentive to your needs. The front desk answered all our questions and also helped with the room selection (I was looking for a higher floor). There is a hotel bus shuttle that runs every 20min from the hotel to Osaka train station and back from 10am - 940pm in the night.

The only thing about this place would be walking to the train stations by foot. Sakuranomiya and Ogimachi closest stations both are around 10 - 15min from the Hotel. I have no complaints.

Great services by the reception and concierge. Services by concierge staff for local courier service was impressive. Made good use of the shuttle service to Osaka JR Station. Also received great services during breakfast at the casual restaurant.

If one does not take the shuttle service, there is nothing much to explore around the hotel unless one walks a long way. Dinner menu at the hotel casual restaurant is quite disappointing. Also, I asked the lady staff if the beef item I wanted to order came with potatoes, she said no. So I made an order of French Fries because I wanted some carbo intake. After I made my order, she asked if I wanted bread or rice (as part of my main dish order). Then when the beef came, there were indeed potatoes that came with the dish. So I had carbo overload for dinner.

We enjoyed our two nights at the Imperial Hotel, in particular its position on the river which enabled us to walk along to Kyoto Castle and then on to the city centre (fairly long but nice walk). It's a quiet location around there, but the subway station is only about 7 mins walk away and that's great for getting down to Dotonbori or other lively areas. The staff are exceptionally friendly, the facilities comfortable (if a little 'old school') and the breakfasts very good with the restaurant having a nice view overlooking the river. The rooms are a good size with a comfortable bed. They, like the rest of the hotel are decent quality but a little dated now.

Bedside power wasn't on both sides of the bed. Somewhat older style hotel, but not faded.

They are well prepared, the room is prepared as requested, smoking room and extra pillow. They front desk staffs expect our arrival according to the approximate arrival time as written in the booking. The most important thing is staffs are so helpful.

The bedroom and bathroom is too small for its class, slightly different from the picture showed. The sitting area is not so comfortable due too small. It's more suitable for short time traveller with less baggage, it's pretty hard to arrange the luggages and bags and get comfortable time to have a relaxing conversation in the room.

Awesome staff and a great hotel. Amazing service and fantastic breakfast and room service. An excellent choice for a Honeymoon.

Although it's a great hotel, no one cared to mention that they are NOT TATTOO Friendly, you must cover all your tattoos before entering gym, pool, spa, jacuzzi and so on. It kinda ruined our relaxation plans because my wife got 2 small tattoos.

The staff was as you would expect super helpful and friendly. The location near the castle was great for morning runs and the hotel even had a running map in the room -- nice touch

Access to hotel as a pedestrian was a bit confusing especially during the night and early morning hours. The hotel also has multiple sets of elevators, but not all going to the residential floors. I needed the staff to help me find my elevator

The staff are very helpful. The room is great and the river view is great. We ordered room service and the presentation is nice. I thought the Location a bit out of place in the beginning but after we found the back door can easy to go to subway. It is so much easier. In fact the back door led you to the river walk. There are sakura trees planted along the path. It will be amazing during cherry blossom time.
