The hotel is located within a walking distance from Sendai station and the shopping street is just a stone throw away so it is very convenient. The staff speaks good English which is a surprise and a bonus since it is a traditional Japanese hotel. The room is a bit small but not a problem. It has a big window allowing the sunlight in. The breakfast buffet is the best and worth every penny. It serves high-quality food and very tasty too. The best part of the hotel is the onsen on the top floor. It is perfect for relaxation after a long day.

The pillows are hard and small. I understand that it is Japanese style. It would have been more comfortable if the pillows are softer though.

The hotel was exceptional as expected, The floor was clean and we can only walk bare foot around the building. The quality of the food (breakfast and noodles) were very good and totally worth it. There were a lot of high quality food available for breakfast. The public bath was small but there were all the facilities needed. The sauna and cold water bath were perfect after a long day of travel. The rooms were larger that expected and could fit two fully opened large luggages easily. The rooms were cozy and the single beds were very large and comfortable. It was near the Sendai station and the large shopping street so it was very convenient. One of the best hotel chain and will definitely book this chain of hotel when it is available.

Onsen strictly forbids tattoos!

Location was excellent; right outside the Hirose-dori station. In addition, it was a mere 2-3 minute walk from the Hirose-dori Shopping Street, with any kind of food, shopping, games you could imagine. Rooms were decently large for a Japanese hotel, and the hotel was extremely clean. Onsen was amazing, and never too crowded, as you can see the occupancy from the TV screen. I especially loved the free nightly Yonaki-soba!

The room and whole hotel were fantastic. I was a little skeptical if I would use the spa and the sauna, I did, and it was great. The spa and sauna do get busy at times, mainly early evening, so checking how busy it is on the room TV before going up to the spa is recommended.

This is not a complaint, just an observation, the kettle seems to take ages to boil. Everything was really great at this hotel, and it will not disappoint if you are wanting something more traditional Japanese.

Not much - it was expensive! And I don't like paying a lot for hotels... But it was very comfortable. We didn't bother with breakfast - that seemed prohibitively expensive (close to ¥10,000 for a family of four is a lot in Japan where you can get a decent morning set for ¥750)

We LOVED the exceptional level of cleanliness at this hotel! From the luggage wheel cleaning and shoe lockers at check-in, to the detailed cleanliness of our room and bathroom, we were very impressed. We also loved all the incredible amenities - nightly free ramen, beautiful onsen facility, free popsicles at the onsen, and the coffee/tea and microwave facilities. We will be looking for more premier Dormy accommodations.

I loved this place. It is new and super clean. You take off your shoes at the front lobby and put them in a locker. The room was small, but comfortable and included items such as baskets to take to the onsen with towels, a toothbrush, instant drink mixes, etc. The onsen is again small, but very functional. We enjoyed breakfast as well. everything we ate was good. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Loved staying here!!! The staff were very friendly, they let us leave our luggage before check in and after check out. There were washing machines free of charge in a room connected to the bath area. As well as a coin dryer in there too. There were free ice creams/ice blocks after evening onsen and free probiotics drinks after morning onsen. Staff were very professional, our room was clean and spacious. The onsens were fantastic, very well maintained. There was a sauna, a cold bath, an indoor and outdoor bath. Lots of amenities in the lobby as well as in the bathing areas. We had breakfast while we stayed here and it was great. Really appreciated the fact that most things were in little containers/plates. Loved staying here, really recommend it.

I think it would be nice if there were English signs on the drink machines in the restaurant area
