everything: staff, location, outstanding breakfast, comfortable room! especially the breakfast. they offered Hida beef for breakfast and 2 varieties of tofu which we enjoyed very much. they also offer free alcoholic drinks and curry rice from 6-8 pm every night. amazing! plus onsen and massage chair, and free coffee 24x7! strongly recommended! :D

there was no blackout curtain and it gets bright very early from 430 am! hard to sleep in the early morning. :( if staff can speak better English, it would help. not a big issue though. :)

It's a very modern hotel with exceptionally friendly staff. We enjoyed the veggies and fruits available for breakfast - amazing oranges. The onsen was very clean. Good location right next to the train station though on the opposite site to most attractions.

The room is small. When you open the window you will hear the trains or smell the fast foods restaurants. The coffee at breakfast was very weak.

The staff was very polite and helpful. The room was very clean and confortable. Wasn't big, but Japan's hotel rooms very rarely are. The location was perfect - less than 5 minutes from the train station and bus terminal. And less than 10 from Takayama's historical center. During the time we were there they offered a happy our on early evenings - 1 drink per guest + curry and rice. Which was a very happy surprise for us! They also have public baths (onsen).

We couldn't use the onsen because we have tattoos. But it's a common cultural thing in Japan.

The location was a stone's throw from Takayama JR Station 🚉. The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable, the toilet was clean. The breakfast was sumptuous & started from 6.30am for early birds. The buffet spread was long. They served Hoba miso beef on a Magnolia leaf in a small, portable stove. They also have their signature Kuretakeso brown rice with eel on one morning & beef on another breakfast. The hotel staff was extremely patient & helpful. Highly recommended. I'll be back next autumn!

This was the best hotel of our trip this autumn 2023.

Great location, amazing staff, delicious food, modern facilities ... This hotel checks every box. It's almost perfect! It made our trip in Takayama and surrounding places much more enjoyable as we had a good rest and a good breakfast to start the day. P.S. They have happy hours starting at 6 pm. They have better pillows if you ask the front desk.

The room is a bit small. The parking is too expensive.

We stayed two nights for visiting Tamayaka and Shirakawa-go. It was a perfectly located hotel directly at the station. Very clean and equipped with everything you need. Small Onsen was very nice to relax and heat up after a long day. Also town center, convenient stores and restaurants within walking distance. All in all I would choose this hotel again. Only downside was the breakfast

We were disappointed of the breakfast. The room was very tight and on the first morning very crowded. Most of the food is Japanese and not much vegetarian options. The little western dishes were bread and jam. Scrambled egg was the worst I have ever eaten. The consistency was something between muddy and soft.

Spacious room. Very comfortable and clean. With a mini fridge and kettle. Also had its own AC which is sometimes difficult to find in Japanese hotels. Good location, right next to the train station and easy walking distance to the town centre. Onsen available on site to use was a plus. Lots of small amenities free of charge in the lobby.

Not a cheap hotel to stay in. I've had the same standard of accommodation for much less in other parts of Japan.

Hotel staff are friendly and able to converse in English. 10. Free public bath and sauna. Remarks: We are very satisfied with the stay. We have already booked for our next stay in Jun 2024!

Below is not a concern for us, just some minor feedback. 1. Parking is not free.

Location is superb. It's quite literally a 2 min walk from the station. You can see the hotel from the platform! Staff were incredibly polite, cheerful, and helpful. The beds were exceptionally comfortable - best nights sleep we had in a long long time. The hotel provides one drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and one dish of curry & rice per customer every evening between 18:00 - 20:00 (while quantities last) - FOR FREE! We thought that was a great touch!! They also give you (one time) your choice of either a beer or an iced green tea (one per guest) if you forego room cleaning the next day. Again - what a super great touch! Breakfast was on offer but we didn't have any because it wasn't included in our room rate. We did have a look at it though and it was a very large variety of Japanese food, but very little western style food, so we skipped it. There's also a nice little seating area in the lobby if you want to sit and read or just have some quiet time. The location is very quiet - as is the hotel - considering how central it is. There's also a Toyota Car Rental office just around the corner from the hotel. There's several convenience stores within a couple of minutes and a McDonalds next door too. We'd definitely stay here again if we ever came back to Takayama.

We found the hotel to be very clean, although there could have been a little more care taken with the amount of dust under the beds. The room size wasn't too bad, although there's a bit too much furniture in it for the size. We did manage to fit 3 large suitcases, 2 small backpacks, 1 small carry-on case and us in the room - but it was tight. Depending on the room you get, you may have a cage on the outside of the window. It's part of the design of the hotel, but it's a shame because it obstructs a really nice view from the higher floors.

Location and facilities. A 3mins walk from the train and bus station. 15mins walk to the touristy part of Takayama. Facilities were great. Onsen bath for hotel guests. There was even free dinner (simple one) during weekdays which was a pleasant surprise. There was even massage chairs available for use by hotel guests.
