We loved this quiet location along the canal. We walked the waterway every day and thought it was beautiful. It felt like we were in a hidden hip locals neighborhood with great access to restaurants, bars and boutique shops. Right across from Starbucks Reserve which conveniently opened at 7am when most Tokyo establishments don't open until 8-9-10am. About an 8-10 minute walk to the nearest rail line. A little further than you need to be, but the canal walk made it worth the walk. After doing ~20,000 steps each day, the hot spring at the hotel was quite nice and the sauna very hot. Its true women can only go between 3-8pm but it was perfect for me (female) after a long day walking, before heading back out for dinner, and my partner (male) used it in the early mornings. The rentable phone chargers and scooters right at the hotel entrance were also super convenient. The room itself was spacious and decent enough.

The pillows weren't great (bed was good/firm), and the shower was mainly handheld (but good water temp and pressure). We didn't utilize the breakfast at all because it was just dry goods/yogurts/cereal.

Location was exactly what I was looking for as I wanted to be close to the Naka-Meguro river area. Just as a note, it is more convenient if you are using buses, as the train stations are not in the immediate area of the hotel. Rooms are very comfortable and clean, although no room has a view and are facing walls, so little natural light. The hotel is close to many cafes, restaurants and convenience stores.

The hotel advertises that is has an onsen for guests and are not clear about that it is exclusively for male guests, with the exception of 2 afternoons per week where female guests are allowed to use it. And it is also not tattoo friendly.

The location was excellent! In a quiet place but close to Nakameguro station and also close to Meguro river with all its funky shops and cafes. The deluxe double room we stayed in was very spacious and had a little kitchen area as well as its own washing machine. The bathroom sink was separate from both the Japanese-style bath and the toilet, which was very nice. The fact that there was a hot spring and sauna in the hotel was also fantastic.

The only thing was that during our stay there was only one time period in which women were allowed to use the hot spring (during an inconvenient time -- from 19:30 to 22:00) while the men were able to choose from three different time periods (no fair!!!!!!). No explanation was given for this.

The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly and accommodating. The Onsen was clean and a real joy either in the morning or in the evening. The hotel was great about accommodating us and helping to arrange taxis and even a large shuttle on our final day to get to the bullet train station.

It would be nice if they had both a women’s and men’s onsen so that the hours were not limited for the female participants. Equality ROCKS!!

Great location on side street next to Meguro River, easy walk to trendy Nakameguro or Shibuya. I was in the area for an event at Tokyo University Komaba Campus and it’s about a 25-minute pleasant walk there through residential streets. Faces a huge glossy Starbucks Roastery that is so popular it has ticketed entry. Even though the location is quite busy, once inside the hotel it’s very quiet. Soundproofing was good, room was spacious enough for a Tokyo hotel, staff were very nice, and I liked all the usual Dormy Inn touches like free ice cream. : )

Even though the word “hot spring” is in the name of the hotel, the hours are mostly for men! Women only get a few hours at the weekend. So this was very disappointing! Could there be equal hours for women?

I liked the location. Next to a really nice Starbucks Reserve; glad I didn’t take breakfast at the hotel, this way I could start each day at Starbucks. I really enjoyed that. Lovely neighbourhood, 10 mins from the Nakameguro train station and lots of restaurants along the way. Even the Travelers Factory was a 15 mins walk. The room has a double door - this is very cool, you don’t hear the other guests coming and going.

My room was very hot. The duvet was very thick, even with the ac I just couldn’t sleep. I had them change it but it wasn’t quite right. Think the room needs a pedestal fan.

Location is fantastic if you're keen to visit the Starbucks Roastery across the road (which is a gorgeous building) and in general enjoy the awesome vibe of the Nakameguro neighbourhood (Mega Donki across the road! Meguro River right next door!) Room was spacious for 4 of us and even had a washer/dryer! Amazing!

Unfortunately, the room smelt like someone had been smoking in there previously. Possibly not super recent as the smell was not super strong (feels like the hotel had tried to freshen it up) but it was definitely there

The location is great. Right on the Meguro River and next to Starbucks Reserve Roastery. This was my second stay. Its a small, simple, no frills hotel which is just enough when you are going to be out all day. Nakameguro is a great neighbourhood so I am happy to stay here. The station is a 10 minutes walk with lots of resturants and coffee shops along the way.

I feel compared to other places the staff here can be more friendly and helpful. They are quite frosty and dis- interested. The quilt on the bed needs to be lighter, it gets too hot at night.

Staff helpful, onsen ,room size , facilities loved that eack room hsd eashing machine and dryer , location 20 min walk to Shibuya, opposite Starbucks Reserve Roastery.I would normally avoid Starbucks..but Reserve Roastery very good

Great location. Clean and modern. All amenities you need on site. Helpful staff.

As noted by others, I didn't like not being able to use the baths, although my male partner could twice a day. My choice to still visit whilst knowing this though.
