I've stayed in this hotel three times. It is conveniently located in the Ginza area, a short walking distance from two main subway stations (Shimbashi and Ginza) that connect several subway lines. Many restaurants and bars are nearby, and traveling to other main areas is fast and easy. The breakfast buffet offered many Asian and Western options. Both smoking and non-smoking rooms (located in different floors) are available.

The hotel is a bit old with no major recent renovations. Do not expect a fancy room, buy just good enough. The main value of this hotel is its location.

I would highly recommend the Grand Hotel Ginza to anyone looking for an exceptional stay. This hotel is one of those rare finds that looks even better in person than in the photos. The location is fantastic, with easy access to both the metro and JR stations. The rooms are not only comfortable and well-appointed but also offer a serene and relaxing atmosphere after a day of exploring the city. The cleanliness of the hotel is impeccable, and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Although Ginza is famous for its high-end shops, you'll also find plenty of stores and restaurants that cater to every budget. The room size is quite satisfactory by Tokyo standards, making for an overall wonderful experience.

I love the location, cleanliness, free drinks at the lounge, friendly and helpful staff, and comfortable rooms! I appreciate the housekeeping staff for always cleaning our rooms, changing our pajamas and bed sheets, and replenishing whatever needs to be replenished in our rooms without having us to request for it.

The location is fantastic, next to Shimbashi station north exit and a block away from Hakuhinkan slot car racing! Mega Don Quiote around the corner, etc.! Siren noise at night was minimal, we asked for their most quiet room and this one was great. We will be back!

Hallways smelled of smoke but the room did not. Remember to use the provided room air filter. Also, to turn on the AC, touch the upper right button on the controller panel.

I read reviews saying the Ginza Grand was looking a little old and tired. The 1st floor entrance (not the lobby), is uninviting and needs renovation but the actual lobby on the 2nd floor was fine (clean, modern and updated). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Checkin / checkout was smooth. The Double Room (non-smoking) was clean, smoke free, spacious (for Tokyo), comfortable (including the bed) nicely appointent and quiet. The hotel location is fantastic (right in Ginza, one of the best parts of Tokyo) and close to Shimbashi Station. Given all this, the price is also great value. I really enjoyed my stay and will stay again.

Entrance on first floor (not the second floor lobby) needs a renovation.

Reception and staff were very kind and helpfull. There was a lounge with free soft drinks. it is close to shimbashi subway station, convenience stores , some fast food restaurants , some tax free shops are very close to hotel.

i stayed in a smoking room, the bathroom was clean but old. Also the room was old, it needs some restoration, some painting maybe.

I loved several things. The hotel has a great location! Just metres away from Shinbashi station, and a few blocks away from the main stores in Ginza. The ground floor of the hotel has a money converter machine and an entrance to the Family Mart convenience store, who has everything you might need on your journey. The room has a kettle, refrigerator, drip coffee sachets, a mobile multi-adapter charger and amenities like slippers, foam soap, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Also there is a hair dryer, toothbrushes, shaving gel and razors if you forgot yours. The room has a temperature regulator, so if you feel cold or hot, you can be comfortably inside. The hotel lobby also has several maps in english and japanese and, complementary tea bags, sugar sticks, creamers, and so on.

Location is really good, easy go to everywhere including of fish market, airport, many attractions. Supermarket and Donki just 5 mins by walk. Many shops and restaurants are nearby.

So dark in lift and room. That feels uncomfortable for us.

The location was great with easy access the the main sights in Tokyo. The hotel room was comfortable. They kept our bags as we arrived early and all was handled well.

The breakfasts where not great, in fact of the 4 nights we stayed we only used the breakfast twice. As you had options from 2 restaurants. I would skip including breakfast and get something out and about rather.
