I spent an enjoyable time at Hotel Coco Grand Kitasenju. It was relaxed, peaceful and personable. The atmosphere was pleasant, friendly and calm. The standard single room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. All the usual accessories you receive in a Japanese hotel. The public bath was a welcome facility, although the midnight closing time does put pressure on you to return in time to the hotel to avail of it. The breakfast was simple, more on the small side, but adequate if you are not one for having a large amount of food early in the morning. I really liked the free availability of deserts, confectionery and beverages throughout the day. This was a nice touch, typical Japanese in quality and presentation, and satisfied many a hunger pang. I found the staff to be always helpful and considerate. As I stayed local for much of my stay, the easy accessibility of the hotel was a big plus for me. I loved the older, traditional, less rushed, less touristy and friendly culture of Kitasenju, and the hotel provided the perfect base for me to immerse myself in this wonderful district of Tokyo.

Brilliant location within 5 mins of Kita-Senju station and plenty of choices for food and drink in the immediate area. Complimentary soft drink and juice as well as free Highball Nikka Whiskey from 5pm till 8pm along with beer is a welcome surprise! Decent Wifi and the non smoking rooms were given as requested. The massage chair in the room also came in as a welcome surprise and was definitely a useful feature after a full day of exploring Tokyo.

As a westerner, not use to being asked to be naked to use a public spa or sauna lol

The staff members are very helpful and friendly, and the hotel makes good effort to keep their services to the standard despite inconvenient COVID measures.

Breakfast during weekday was not as well run as that on weekend. During our 7-day stay there, the coffee machine had problems twice, one for empty bean hopper and another for empty reservoir. This seems a minor hiccup, yet it only happened once during our many previous stays (since 2013) at the hotel. Besides, there were times when obviously there were not enough food for the guests in the breakfast room. The staff in charge of the breakfast room now did not seem to be as competent as those before. I really hope to see the breakfast room to be in the good hand again because it helps us to start a day with a happy stomach and mood.

We loved this hotel in Kitasenju. The little shopping street was so cute and had a really good coffee shop, which is something we found special. We needed to go to Chiba very early in the morning, so this location was super convenient for us. The bath was an added bonus! I got to have a bath while using the laundry machine in the women's onsen area. That was convenient!

Short walk to Kitasenju station. Many food places nearby and even a Don Quijote across tthe street! Pleasantly surprised by the self-serve beer dispenser machine. Room was extremely clean and toiletries were of good quality.

The TV in the rooms had some issues and could not switch it off in the night.

The room was nice and comfortable. There was a massage chair, but I didn't use it; it was too rough on my back. The buffet was delicious and there were many choices. The hotel was close to many shops, restaurants, and the train station. Also, there was a lovely little bakery next door. There is a public sauna. You must sign up to use the room, which is private.

It was a little difficult to use the AC. I kept turning it on, but I couldn't get the room cool enough. My social awkwardness prevented me from asking for help. haha

Facilities very good, spa pool excellent, and "happy hour" drinks a welcome surprise. Location ( Kitasenju) was a good compromise to Ueno options as it was just a few stops from the Ueno transportation hub direct from Narita. Plenty of eating option in area

The staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms were immaculate and the Japanese breakfast was amazing, different each day.

Only thing I can think of was that there was only 1 elevator, which could cause waiting times. No other remarks.

It is not my first time to stay at this hotel. It is a friendly and welcoming hotel to stay at. The breakfast is not too filling but at the same time quite adequate. The room was comfortable with all the amenities and accessories you would wish for. I love having access to the hot public bath. The hotel is situated in a nice and atmospheric part of Tokyo. I feel very much at home in Kita Senju. Everything is within walking distance and it is very close to to the rail and metro stations.

The staff are very nice and the Hotel is placed in a very nice neighborhood in Kitasenju, you can get any kind of food type within walking distance. The room was also very spacious with a personal balcony that includes a Jacuzzi/bathtub to soak in.
