As a solo traveler it was excellent to have access to the kitchenette. I was able to cook small meals for myself instead of eating out all the time. The value for cost was excellent! The nearest station was a short walk down a pretty street to connect to the Yamanote line.

Other guests were quite loud at various hours of the night, but that is not the fault of the facility. I found the pillows mildly uncomfortable, but that is personal preference.

Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Staff very helpful. Rented a kitchenette (ask for kitchen cutlery at front desk) and enjoyed cooking my own simple breakfast each morning. The room was small but had everything I needed. Bed small but comfortable and very quiet peaceful. Enjoyed the neighborhood, more so Otsuka. Some nice narrow streets with many restaurants closer to Ostuka station. There was access to JR rail from Ostuka or the Tokyo Metro from Higashi Ikebukuro or from Shin Otsuka. All within 10 to 15 minutes walking distance. Also you can walk to ikebukuro for shopping about 20 minutes.

Great location, short walk to train station and 7/11 opposite. We enjoyed the quiet neighbourhood and a few restaurants were around that we tried. Reception was helpful and there were some free amenities and the option to borrow straighteners which was a nice touch. We used the coin laundry service twice, it was helpful that it is open 24/7 and onsite. The room was clean and a fridge in the room.

I would say this room would be perfect for a solo traveller but a couple we found the bed and room a bit tight. I think is good value for Tokyo especially it's location.

Really good price and location, everything in Ikebukuro was within walking distance and it was close to the train and metro stations. The rooms are small but quite cozy, I was worried if all our luggage would fit in but they all fit no problem (four suitcases and two backpacks). This hotel would definitely work for longer stays as well, we stayed here for almost two weeks without any problems. Staff is really nice and helpful, but you'll definitely have a bit better experience if you know Japanese as it was easier for us to communicate in Japanese instead of English. Will definitely stay here again!

The shared laundry room wasn't the cleanest but it was mostly an issue with the dryer filters.

Perfect room for 1, perhaps a little bit of a squeeze for 2 but for the value and location, it can't be beaten! As I stayed for 8 nights, they were kindly able to grant my request for a room at the side of the building with only 1 neighboring room. Yes, you can hear voices out in the hall and if your neighbours are speaking loudly, but overall, noise issues were not a big problem. The bed is on the firm side but that was ok for me. I had enough space to have my suitcase laid out on the ground and the amenities like the microwave and the kettle were very handy! The bathroom is compact but has everything you need, and the water pressure for the shower is impressive. Down at reception, you can take things like tea bags, face towels, and hair brushes. There's no room cleaning during the stay so you will need to take out your own garbage to the garbage room which is on the side of the building. All my interactions with the staff were very polite and they were able to lend me items such as a portable weighing scales to check my luggage and some cutlery. They all spoke good English too. Location is excellent as the hotel is about an 8 minute walk to Otsaka station on the main Yamanote line which will take you to all the hotspots! Yes, the walk back to the hotel is slightly uphill but it was manageable. There were also other stations at a walkable distance. Very pleased with my stay overall and I would definitely come back!

We had everything we needed during our stay in Tokyo (especially the self-laundry was the biggest benefit for us during our stay as we were travelling as a family of 6). It's a bit of a walk to the JR Otsuka station but there were multiple 24/7 convenience stores on the way in case you needed something. The staff was quick to respond to any issues we had (key card suddenly stopped working, light in the bathroom gave out, etc.) and there were unlimited toiletries at the front desk as well. Overall, would recommend!

The rooms were a tad small but with the price we paid for the inclusion of a kitchenette and bathtub, we can't complain.

The third time I'm staying in this hotel. The staff is friendly. The rooms are small (there was still enough space for lots of luggage for 2 people) but cozy and there's everything you need. A fridge, microwave, and watercooker. Free amenities, washing machines are available. You have to seperate the trash by yourself and have to take it out yourself, but that is really not a problem. If you need lots of space for yourself when staying as a couple, the bed might be too small for you. For us, there was enough space.

There was maintenance work and you had to let the workers into your room, but we left the hotel before that. Also that is not the fault of the hotel itself.

Expectations variously met and exceeded. Nicer in person than the photos. The location is really perfect, quiet residential area, short walk to Ōtsuka station and Shin-Ōtsuka station. From where one can connect cheaply, easily and quickly to the centre, Shinjuku, Shibuya and east to the Sky Tree. Clean and comfortable bed (not too hard for side sleepers). AC machine that also blows hot air, humidifier machine if it gets too dry. Nice hot shower with excellent pressure no waiting. Nice Toto eaglet toilet with good heated seat. We borrowed kitchen equipment from reception with ease. Induction hob, microwave and kettle. East to eat on a budget. Shop 7/11 directly opposite with ATM. There is a laundry room with washing and drying facilities- charged between 200-300 yen. Have your 100 yen coins ready. Staff very helpful and welcoming.

Nothing to comment on here. You must remember that the room looks small on the pics and it is small, as advertised. Two tidy people maximum otherwise you may find it unsuitable.

The hotel is very close to Otsuka and Shin-Otsuka stations, but still close enough to Ikebukuro station (around 17 minuets by foot). The is a post office, many conbini, restaurants and a great Indian-Napalian restaurant, so it's very convinient. The stuff did their best to anser my need and questions. There's washing machines and dryiers so I could do laundry. When I reported that I have a small cockroach in my room, I got a new room at the same floor immidietly.

There is no cleaning services that comes with the room, even tho it's not a really cheap hotel (you need to pay for cleaning seperatly). The entrance to the garabage room (you need to throw it yourself) was also a smoking area for people :<

The personnel was very kind and caring, always available and they even let me check in earlier which was very appreciated. The location is also very good, right in front of a Konbini and less that 10min away from Ikebukuro station on foot. Coffee, tea and other amenities were all available at the front desk which is also nice

The room and the equipment inside was a bit old, there was no electric plug in the bathroom, and cleaning was a paid extra even if you stay one week (even though you can change towels and bed sheets for free anytime)
