1) Great public bath/onsen. Although only two large hot springs, they were spacious. One was semi-outdoors. Both opened overnight. Very comfortable and did not feel crowded even with >10 people in the area. 2) Free ramen supper 9;30pm-11pm. Good quality noodles. Staff very welcoming. 3) Free probiotic drinks in the morning and free ice cream/ice-blocks at night. Both quality stuff. They never ran out during supply time period. 4) Room (twin) was spacious. The double rooms were smaller though. 5) Nice bathroom. 6) Convenient store within 30 seconds walking distance. 7) Hotel was clean. 8) Staff able to communicate with English. 9) Free supply of toothbrush/toothpaste/razor/comb (different types)/cotton buds. 10) I left our luggage at the hotel prior to check in; as well as when we changed room (checked out and checked in again later that day). In both occasions staff already placed our suitcases in the room. Outstanding service. 11) Washing machine (5-6) available free of charge; drying machine 100yen for 20mins (enough to dry most clothes within one round) - need to get a key from reception.

Not much, good quality for price (when we booked). If I have to be picky: 1) The pillows were a bit too soft. 2) The walk to JR (East exit)/Metro (exit 35) station wasn't that close - but acceptable, within ~10mins once you know the location.

Location was convenient. The area had many restaurants, Sunshine Mall and transport. Extremely clean. Great shower. Check in staff were very helpful when we arrived too early.

Pillows were very flat and hard. Another guest was annoyed with me in the onsen because I made a minor error in the process. It was my first experience with this. I left and did not come back.

I love its public bath. The hotel has outside onsen and a hot sauna as well. Price is very good. Room size is good. It is quiet. Even though my room is close to the elevator, it is still very quiet. Forgot to mention there is a comic place near the laundry. I found this is the best one among the 4 hotels I stayed during my trip.

Booked this hotel for its hot spring facility and was really good. Free ice cream and ramen supper which we had after hot spring is also very good (would be better if an onsen egg is added)! Breakfast is great and with some variations would be better as we stayed 5 nights. Location requires some 15 minutes walking to train/metro station. Family mart just around the corner. Also close to airport limousine bus station at Sunshine city Prince hotel. But beware that no check in after 12 midnight.

No option to shower after checkout. Variations for breakfast would be welcomed for consecutive stay.

- It has natural hotspring Onsen! One inside and one outside onsen plus one sauna and a cold water pool. The female onsen was spacious enough and very clean - Sun city mall is nearby - Free coffee in the lobby - Washing machine provided

- Relatively far from Ikebukuro JR Station (15 mins walk) - Breakfast not included and it’s very pricey (I think it was around 20€ pp which is quite expensive for Japan, so we skipped it and ate breakfast somewhere else with better price-performance ratio) - Price performance ratio not good. For the price of around 150€ per night for a twin room it‘s just a basic small business hotel style room with no place to open big suitcases. Although the hotel has clean natural hot spring onsen which included in the price. But I think max. 85€ per night would be a more reasonable price.

Friendly staff that also speaks English, room was roomy and clean. Bathroom has bathtub and toilet is in its own room. They don’t skimp on the goodies with the free onsen that has free sport drinks and ice cream bars, soba noodle for late night snacking, and Yakult yogurt drinks in the morning. Location has tons of good food, close to downtown Ikebukuro where you can find 24hr restaurants as well as a 24hr supermarket. Also very close to a large shopping mall called Sunshine City.

The property is 10 minutes walk from the nearest subway station and 12 min walk from the main Ikebukuro station. You start to feel the walk after the 3rd or 4th day, or if you get to haul a lot of stuff from shopping. Beds are similar to other Japanese hotels where they are very firm. My wife doesn’t like that.

The hotel is near many convenience stores and downtown, so it's a nice for trips out to get supplies and food. The hotel itself offers coffee in the lobby, complimentary toiletries in the lobby, and a luggage disposal fee should you buy a new one and want to throw away your old one. The rooms are a moderate size and the bathrooms offer a sitdown shower. Aside from that, the hotel also offers a public bath, manga library to read from, complimentary ice cream/drinks for bathers, and evening complimentary soba should you get hungry at night. They offer complimentary washers and you can pay for dryer usage.

The location is a bit of a walk from the station, and faces the opposite direction, so just be on the look out for the sign. Prices are higher due to the public bath amenities. Lots of tourists come here, so the bath/manga library can get crowded.

We loved our stay here at Dormy Inn in Ikebukuro. While the room is small, it was quite cozy and had everything we needed. I suppose the only thing we found lacking was a place to hang our bath towel after use to properly dry. Other than that, the service by the front desk staff was great, helping us make a reservation at a cafe and forwarding our luggage to our next hotel. Communication in English was easy. The free noodles in the evening was such a treat, and of course the natural hot spring and baths were fantastic. I admit I totally enjoyed walking around the hotel in my provided pajamas. There is a Family Mart nearby which was convenient, and Sunshine City is so close, as well. The area is quiet and beautiful. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Tokyo!

The hotel is very close to Sunshine City and about 10-15 minutes walk from Ikebukuro Station, depending on how fast you walk. This meant the hotel was in a convenient location without being too noisy. I picked this hotel because of the location and because the rooms have a rail to hang clothes. The staff were very professional throughout and held my bags until my arrival time. I appreciated the arrival snack and bottle of water.

The room layout means that the bedroom and entryway are too narrow to fully open a suitcase. I managed by packing one side of the case at a time in a V shape, so it is worth bearing in mind, it isn't a major deal.

The hotel is conveniently situated in spitting distance to Sunshine city. Ikebukuro Sunshine dori and train station are approx. 10 minutes away. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was quite small (as to be expected in central Tokyo for this room charge) but it provided everything you will need. The walls are thick and neither the street outside nor the aircon disturbed my sleep. The rooftop bath (at least the one for the men) was well maintained, clean and simply gorgeous. You could check the current occupation via your room‘s tv, which was a nice gimmick. The breakfast had a lot to offer. Mostly Chinese and Sino-Japanese cuisine, but also western dishes. Small free amenities like coffee and late night ramen completed an awesome stay. Definitely the best stay in this price range I had so far in Tokyo. Will come again!

The constant wind-up music at the breakfast was a little tedious :)
