Generally quiet, with plenty of amenities and a cute free rubber duck. Fantastic location, perfectly between the shopping and dining options in Ueno and Akihabara. Coin-operated washing machine and dryer. Too small to spend a day, but clean, neat and great for a place to crash while exploring Tokyo. Highly recommend as a budget option.
Tight space, just enough for one person. Bed is a little stiff. Elevator always stops on the third floor. A small amount of noise could be heard from inside the room (people outside, elevator dings), but acceptable and no need for earplugs.

Stayed here as a solo traveller and will be staying here again in the future. The presentation of the hotel was neat and tidy, including the room itself which was also spacious enough to accommodate my two suitcases and several bags. Present on the first floor are a couple of coin operated washing machines and coin operated dryers plus a vending machine. The hotel also treats you to a free rubber duck to take home, which was amazing. The location of the hotel was fantastic and right next door to a 7/11 and a variety of places to eat around the hotel. The hotel is not too far from and within walking distance of SuehirochĹŤ station / Ginza line, Ueno, Akihabara and many more places. The staff were nice and attentive, very friendly and made check in a breeze.

The room was a little small but that is standard for all Tokyo business hotels I guess. The best part about this hotel is it's location, it has 7/11 and a huge Lawson right next to it and two metro stations at a 5-6 min walking distance that connect you to either the Ginza or Yamanote line. Room was clean and the staff was polite.
The room could have been slightly bigger. It was difficult managing 3 suitcases.

Amazing location - a few minutes walk from Akihabara and Ueno and several major metro stations. Everything was clean and well maintained. Washing machine and dryer are available if needed.
The rooms are truly tiny. I knew this upfront and it was OK for me since I was traveling alone and didn't spend much time in the room except for sleeping, but if you plan to spend more time in the room, be aware of this.

The Okachimachi Urban Hotel is a nice hotel extremely close to Okachimachi JR Station, and less than 15 minutes on foot from Ueno. The ground floor have coin washing machines and a drink vending machine, while the front desk and the dining area on the first floor (second floor according to Japanese floor numbering). The staff is extremely nice and helpful, and the rooms are spacious enough for two pieces of luggage to fit. The desk is ample and the bed soft and comfortable.

Best location from Kesei Ueno Station. Easy access to Ginza and Hibiya subway line for getting around Tokyo. Best kept secret and now always booked.
No free coffee station anymore. Check-in is with a machine which wasn’t easy to use. But not complaining, just mentioning. Still has the vending machines down stairs and a new 7-11 next door.

Excellent location within a short walk to several different subway lines and the JR line. Property is clean and quiet. Wifi signal strong and easy to connect to. Amazing value.
Bed and pillow are very firm, and there is no place to store clothes - just a few hooks on the wall. Front desk service is friendly but bare bones - ex. they won't provide info on sending your luggage to the airport.

5-10 minute walk to a ton of train lines. Haneda and Narita are easy to get to and from. Near Akihabara. The room and building were very clean and the staff are very friendly, even towards foreigners. Having coin laundry and dryer is nice for longer stays. I got a little rubber ducky. This was the last hotel I stayed at in Japan in 2019 before the plague. I am happy to say that it has not changed much and is still a great value if you don't need a ton of space.
It is a Japanese business hotel, so everything is very small. I didn't figure out until the last day that the remote that controls the AC/heat was not doing anything because I was too far/not pointing it at the air unit. (It will beep if you actually change something.) The elevator stopping at the second floor lobby every time is annoying, especially when coming from the first floor. Fortunately now you don't have to turn in the key before heading out if you don't want. They seem to have done away with the breakfast buffet - probably due to COVID - which is a shame, because it was pretty good for a free meal.

The reception staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The hotel is also located in a very good spot ( near Ueno park and Akihabara) with good public transport connections. The lobby was also comfortable and convenient. The room is clean and nice, and about the same size as you would expect in Japan.
It is recommended to be able to speak a bit of Japanese or use Google translate to be able to translate some signs that are only in Japanese, so that you know how to get into the lobby or how to turn off the ventilation in the bathroom.
