The rooms are small, as you’d expect in Japan, but smartly designed — with a bit of organization, there’s plenty of space for two. The bed was super comfortable, everything was spotless, and the staff couldn’t have been kinder or more attentive. Everyone was so friendly and always ready to help with anything. The location in Jimbocho is fantastic — close to the subway, so you can get anywhere in Tokyo in no time. The neighborhood itself is quiet, safe, and has a charming local vibe, which makes it perfect to unwind after exploring the city. The value for money is outstanding, and I can fully recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tokyo. I’d definitely stay here again!

We’ve stayed at this hotel several times before and always love coming back. The staff are wonderful always smiling, kind, and ready to help . The rooms are small but very comfortable and have everything you need. On the ground floor, there’s a counter with an amazing selection of skincare, dental care, bath salts, and face masks The pajamas provided are very comfortable. The location is only a few minutes walk from the subway and within walking distance to many great spots. We loved everything.

The hotel is located 5 minutes walk for a train station that will take you to Shibuya, Shinjuku and every place in the center of Tokyo. The neighbourhood itself is quite and not so close to the city center, but has everything you need - restaurants, shops and more. 7/11 is right across the street of the hotel. The staff were kind, although they didn't speak much English. Sending luggage services are right around the corner.

The room is small and the toilet even smaller, feels like an airplane toilets. The sheets were a bit old and dirty.

I liked that it was close to everything. easy access to transportaction,food, tourist spots. you name it.the staff were pleasant and greeted us with a smile. they helped me when I had trouble trying to turn on the bathroom light as I didn't know how to turn it on.

it was my fault for picking the room that is meant for smokers. I am a non-smoker, but they were fully booked for the non- smoker rooms. it is a lesson learned on my part. but I wish they cleaned the rooms more. I had to clean the walls on my first day and the sheets as it was dusty. if you are a non-smoker, avoid these rooms at all cost. the smell is not so strong, but you can still smell it. specially in the morning when they do the cleaning in other rooms. aside from that, my stay was great. 😊

Very nice and helpful staff! They even exchanged our smaller coins for larger coins/bills. Nice location. It's quiet and decent amount of restaurants nearby. Small room (it's Tokyo!) but we didn't mind given its affordability. It wasn't actually that small, but I think our room layout in particular made it feel smaller. It looked like some of the other rooms we walked by seemed bigger due to the layout. Either way, it worked for us and we were able to lay out & pack all of our stuff/souvenirs okay! Variety of personal amenities in the lobby up for grabs. Metro stations (Awajichō Station and Jimbocho Station) within walking distance. Jimbocho is much closer.

The Jimboucho Sotetsu Fresa Inn is in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood, on a street that is primarily used for walking (plus work trucks and taxis), next to a great bakery (Little Mermaid). The street has several book shops, and a 7/11 konbini. Around the corner you can find a family mart a couple minutes away by walk, and in the other direction there is a McDonalds less than 5 minutes away. The subway station is no more than 7 minutes away on foot, the location is wonderful. The staff were great, friendly and had very good English. The building is nice, it seems to have been renovated. The room was quite nice, plenty clean, a little tight but I expect that is common in Tokyo hotels and I had a single bed. The bathroom was a comfortable size, and the bath was nice, although the tub filled up more slowly than another hotel I was in. The other hotel had very high water pressure, this one was not bad, just normal, so for the huge Japanese style bath, it took nearly a half-hour to fill up. Not a big problem if you plan ahead. The bed was comfortable enough that I almost forgot to mention it, I suppose that means it was very comfortable; it is ideal when the bed is so good you forget about it. At the end of the road towards the subway station there was always a line of taxis lined up after dark each night, which may be convenient for night life visits. The neighborhood was in close walking distances to several musical instrument shops and winter sport shops too. And only about a 20 minute walk away from Akihabara, which I walked to and from several times, once just for the KFC there. Overall it was a great stay and I would gladly stay there again if I get an opportunity to.

There were some nooks and crannies with some dust, mostly noticeable behind the door stop. This is not uncommon, every hotel I'd stayed in (in Japan) had some places with dust, but if you have a dust allergy I would recommend being prepared with medicine or countermeasures for it.

I have stayed at this hotel before and plan to stay again when I'm in Tokyo, I love the Jimbocho area and the street that the hotel is on. There are bookstores and restaurants. It's a good place to stroll and it's close to exit 6 of the Jimbocho Metro. The staff is very friendly and they have a wonderful system of communicating with you in Japanese and English. They give you many options about how you want your room cleaned.

I'm hard pressed to come up with anything I didn't like and I will be staying again when I go back through Tokyo to leave Japan

The location is fantastic, just one train stop to Akihabara (or walking distance if you want to avoid crowded trains, or miss the last train). It’s also within walking distance of several train lines and lots of food options, so very easy to use the hotel as your base and move around Tokyo. It’s in the middle of the used bookstore district so there are lots of book stores nearby for those who like that sort of thing, but also plenty of other shops such as stationary stores and drugstores for your shopping needs. The hotel is directly across from a Daiso and Doutor cafe so was convenient to grab whatever we needed. It was super easy to check in and check out using the automated machine in the reception. The staff were very nice and helpful, including providing change when we needed it for the coin laundry. The room layout was well designed, and spacious for a hotel in Japan for this price bracket. There was also an air purifier and humidifier combo in the room which we used liberally. The coin laundry was super simple to use and there were also vending machine and ice machine options.

Jimbocho station itself can require a few changes to get to from the airport; but once you get there, it’s perfect.

The breakfast is amazing - there's a bakery on the first floor and you get to choose any 3 pastries that they have. Always fresh. The staff are polite and helpful and the location is really good with walking distance to Akihabara/Tokyo Central station. Jimbocho neighbourhood is really lovely, it is famous for it's old book stores.

Ventilation in the room is bad. We ended up opening the window and putting a shoe in the doorway to keep the air moving, that helped, but then you hear all neighbors in the hallway. AC cooler is quite aggressive. Ended up getting sick from it.

Room was very large for Tokyo standards. The check-in and check-out process were incredibly smooth, and the staff was helpful and friendly. Location is convenient!

Breakfast at the downstairs Mermaid Cafe was a disappointment. The cafe actually sells some nice-looking pastries but the hotel guests are served some very sad bread / coffee instead. Definitely save your money and go have your breakfast somewhere else!
