Aeroplanes Airport carpet firm bed warm cookie nice shower thick curtains.break fast is as early as 4.30am !!its variety food .i paid night before.got a card to just give lady at desk in morning .there's fridge and iron and board it was quiet 12pm check out feels less rushed .phone for room service .and laundry opportunities but i didnt use them.lighting is nice can see some taxiway and runway from bridge across the two parts building .chair is nice just right for me that arm chair .desk was solid.theresstorage space cupboards lots drawers .curtain are black out curtains certainly in my room .its very close to Air port like two minuteswalk away.just across pedestrian crossing .i loved lighting in my room.

Can't complain any thing else just personnel preferances.

DoubleTree by Hilton was very close to certain place in Newcastle Eg The metro centre was 15 mins away and the angel of the north 25 minutes down the A1. Staff were very welcoming, helpful and really really pleasant. Felt very safe and a lovely welcome and goodbye every time we went out of the hotel. The beds were unbelievably comfortable clean rooms and the housekeeping staff always made sure we had enough clean towels too!

My only issue that was my plug socket at the side of the bed didn’t fit my phone charger. (Just meaning I had to get out of the most amazing bed to turn it off haha)

The location is fab!!!!! 2 min walk from airport eve less i dont know why it says on booking 1 km or something. Its zero distance The chcek in was less than a second didnt even want to see passports Understood that we just wanna go to sleep The surrounding was beautiful I was looking for mineral water to buy and they handed me 3 bottles for free The room is big The shower room lovely decor Many soapes types Bed was super comfy The elavator was beautiful Check out at 12 brilliant The staff was super super super nice We asked for adaptors and got 2 for the night so fast and easy Cookies and hot chovlate at room was amazing add on!we enjoyed it!!! Thank you!!

I found the location easy to reach from the centre of Newcastle as I was travelling on public transport, there was a regular Metro service to and from Newcastle City centre to the Airport and the hotel was just a short walk across the road. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and comfortable with all the facilities you needed like tea and coffee and a kettle, large screen tv and a small fridge. The bed was firm but comfortable and I slept well both nights.

I was happy with the majority of things however i wish there was a little more control over the air conditioning it seemed to blow cold a lot but it wasn't a major issue.

A stone throw away from the airport, ideal location! You can always count on DoubleTree to be exactly what you need it to be. Exceptionally clean and comfortable, with warm and welcoming staff. A far cry from the jail like hotel across the road that we immediately left after circling our room once, it was the biggest sigh of relief to walk into the immaculate Hilton DoubleTree lobby alone and be greeted by the lovely staff on reception

It’s a little noisy with people people coming and going at all hours, this is to be expected though with its location

We booked because of the close proximity to the airport and an extra early flight - literally a few minutes walk across from the airport The welcome from the reception team was warm and friendly, answering any questions we had and arranging a non dairy milk alternative for me. The room was spacious, comfortable with a good size bathroom and shower with shower gel, soap etc readily available. Towels and bedding were clean and all was well presented. A supply of tea, coffee and biscuits were available in the room. We had a meal in the Italian Restaurant and again, were greeted by friendly , polite staff and chose our meal from a good varied menu - including diary free alternatives . The chef and his team were very accommodating and adapted my meal to specifically suit my needs. Prices were not excessive

Amazing quality and value breakfast. Pleasant staff everywhere.

Checked in at midnight after flight exhausted. Bedroom not clean, divan base of bed stained (clearly from past vomit) Sheets were stained from food (we didn’t have any). Were woken from 7am from what sounded like repeated banging of furniture being moved around above us - but could have been machinery from the adjacent gym. Either way, not a good idea to have a family room in an airport hotel right next to the gym when trying to catch up on sleep during travel.

Ideally situated - a short walk to airport terminal . Comfortable room .

The entrance to the hotel appeared to be the smokers area . Not a good advert for the hotel . Untidy with many discarded cigarette ends . Quite off putting especially when we were seated at a dining table next to the window where this mess could be seen . Needs to be swept and cleaned regularly if they insist on having the smokers area at the entrance .

Convenience to airport and also Metro. I used the Metro for the majority of my travels during my stay. Also thought the gym was excellent, which is unusual for an airport hotel. Room cleanliness was perfect, bed was comfortable. Car parking was convenient.

The breakfast was one price for all, so the same for a full English or a slice of toast. At least that was my understanding - if that wasn’t the case, it certainly wasn’t clear. I thought the breakfast was a little cold, so better hot plates and heat lamps would be good. Also thought the bar was small. I would’ve popped in for a drink some evenings but no chairs.

Room was spacious, bathroom well accessible. Room well decorated with good curtains to avoid the light on Sunny days. On the other hand lots of good sunlight during the day.

TV was a little out of place and too close to the working area (desk). The only negative thing I really experienced was the Breakfast which was OK but not a Hilton standard. Scrambled eggs looked more like porridge. Eggs had to be ordered separately unless you checked that out previously meaning your meal would get cold. Breakfast card/voucher not a good idea,
