The Jugendstil interior makes you feel like in the old days, nevertheless everything is modernized and in order. we had a superior suite that was really spacious. Bed was comfortable, and although it was freezing outside, it was always warm in the room. Breakfast menu had lots of choices, including warm meals, good coffee. For us not important, but: english channels were available on TV. WiFi Quality was good. Be aware that the hotel is a bit far off the centre, like a 20 minutes walk after we learned the shortest route to take. For us was no big deal, but families or elderly people might consider choosing a location closer to centre.

Due to location and hotel category (4 Stars), we missed facilities like a hotel bar / restaurant open in the evening and a sauna, since there are not many places to go for food & drink in the surroundings and Riga is a cold place (strong winter still in march).

Did everything you need a hotel to do; it was safe and clean. Bed was comfortable. Can open bedroom windows if you want (many hotels don't do this). Staff were pleasant. Room was nice and warm at all times which was essential given the freezing weather outside. Nice building. Good kettle in room. Sizeable selection at breakfast in a pleasant and comfortable setting on the second floor. Reliable airport transfer (*additional cost). Shops (for food, water, etc) practically next to the hotel which was very convenient.

I could not get safe to work (did not ask for help as I did not need it). Water was discoloured when running the hot tap - rust? (the uk-gov website does say that you should not drink tap water in Latvia). Nice old building, still fit for purpose, but there are little signs of wear (nothing that hinders funtion). Towel heater on bathroom wall wasn't great. No gluten free/sugar free/ vegan options at breakfast (though I did not request my dietary requirements).

Exceptionally friendly staff at the hotel: the front desk people as well as at the breakfast. Room was big, very clean and quiet. The air conditioner kept the room pleasantly cool during the heat wave. Bath tub was a plus! If you walk to/ from the hotel you will see dozens of incredibly beautiful Art Nouveau buildings with their fine details. Convenience store mini Rimi is just around the corner, 25 meters away, open till 22.

The hotel is quite a walk away from the Old Town and the bar/ shopping/ restaurant streets. About 2,5 km/ 25 minutes away exactly... Tram 1 goes the closest. Hotel itself is a bit worn-out but very clean, comfortable and felt safe. The breakfast could have been better, there's no gluten free bread, buns, cookies etc, but at least the fruits were fresh and the staff working there was friendly.

convenient and easy to navigate, decent breakfast with many options, and friendly and helpful staff. Best of all, it's a good location (especially for someone who knows the city) - the central market, parks and the mall is near and so are the transport stops that can take you anywhere. Very walkable indeed.

in my room (only this time, I've been here before) the AC was making weird noises, though it didn't bother us much and when we asked the staff, they said that if it does then we can switch the room.

Room is quite big. Reception provides details for free wifi. Location is good, in the center, but not on the main street. However you can hear street lauds during the night... Breakfast - the first - there are trays available, so, you can take both plate and water/juice glass, coffee cup at the same time. Theoretically. In fact - there is no place to put the tray while inserting food in the bowl or plate. Not handy actually. This is the question of the taste, of course, but I found the food (oatmeal porridge) untasty... My companion said the same about potatoes' pancakes. In general, the offer for the price is good. Porridge, scrambled eggs, potatoes' pancakes, sausages, herrings, cottage cheese, cucumbers, green peas, and so on. Mini bar - I didn't pay attention to it, don't know the content. Just be aware, they are taking a deposit 50 EUR on checking in for mini bar. Either by card or by cash. (No problem with that as they return it immediately on check-out. I was just surprised as haven't seen it anywhere else.)

No possibility to toast the bread. No salmon. I didn't like the porridge. Juice (apple, I guess) was too sweet for me.

We stayed in a family room, which had 2 bedrooms. Breakfast was good, facilities worked, it was quiet and comfortable. Location is good - the city center is nearby, and paid public parking is right outside the hotel.

WIFI did not connect however we tried - and it was said to be working only in the lobby. Some dust and bit of garbage under beds. Drain pipes seem to be from ancient times, because water was not willing to flow away quickly.

Good location, good size of rooms, very comfortable bed, pretty good breakfast with few local specialities. would definitely stay again.

usually in hotels, if you want your room cleaned, you just don’t hang out “dont disturb sign”, however here we didn’t notice that to ask to clean the room is on the same “don’t disturb” sign.. or else hotel stuff usually warns during check-in what are rules on cleaning. otherwise rooms were clean and all, just that part that is good to know.

Solid hotel, ok breakfast and helpful staff. Parking on site is a great option, but beware if you have a larger car. We only stayed in the hotel overnight and continued our journey but overall it's a solid place and a good value for money.

Clean room, everything works, most helpful and friendly personnel, good breakfast, new bed linen, good pressure hot and cold water in the shower, full-size bath, safebox, ironing board and steam iron in the room. Aircon and thick curtains. I may have missed something. Most comfortable stay for overnight in transit.

I liked everything. I wish there were more English channels, or if I could change the language settings on some of the cable channels.
