I stayed here two years ago, and my opinion hasn’t changed—it’s still just as amazing. The location is perfect, the rooms are clean and thoughtfully designed, and the attention to detail really stands out. The internet is fast and reliable, which is a big plus for me as a remote worker. I also felt completely safe here as a solo female traveler. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. This place will always be my top choice in KL. I can’t wait to come back! 😊

it’s clean, newly renovated with hairdryer, kettle with coffee and tea. However you have to ask for changing towels and water. there’s no fridge and deposit box in the hotel room. we love it’s close to China town and food eatery.

I stayed at Yu two times, one for my leisure trip in 2024 and one for a concert in town. I was super satisfied both times. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were super welcoming and helpful. The hotel is located near all the good eateries in Chinatown and the MRT as well. It is also among some cool looking pubs, which doesn’t really affect my sleep since I barely heard anything. Definitely going to stay at Yu again if I visit KL anytime soon.

Not the hotel’s fault but apparently, there were dodgy businesses on the upper floors of 3 adjacent buildings. Each narrow passage up the stairs was guarded by a man, day and night! Was told they play a cat-and-mouse game with the authorities; so one might want to consider other accommodation options until the vice activities are permanently eradicated.

We love the location as it is very near to Petaling Street with all the good eateries. The room is simple yet comfortable with clean bathrooms. They had lovely Chinese tea in the room but no coffee but it was fine for us as we had nice kopi at the nearby restaurants. There are many lovely and super popular restaurants nearby that we are spoiled for choice. There was no breakfast served in the hotel but there are many or plenty of local breakfast options around.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The location is convenient, and the prices are reasonable. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The staff was friendly, especially the night shift team, who provided excellent service. I highly recommend this hotel for its value and hospitality!

The hotel had limited TV channels, mostly in a local language that I couldn’t understand. There was also nearby road construction at night, but it was manageable. They provided earbuds, which helped.

A simple, clean hotel located above a tea shop in Kuala Lumpur's Chinatown. Unbeatable location close to night market, early morning and late-night eats, and public transit (central station, subway). Interior room was windowless but therefore very quiet. Also free tea tasting! We bought some. Wi-fi was quite good, too.

Thought room would come with tea from the associated tea shop, but it didn't.

Excellent location in the centre of KL, 2 min walks to KK minimart and to Petaling Street & the night market food stalls, less than 5 min walk to Kwai Chai Hong (a peculiar but nostalgic little place), less than 10 min walks to Central Market and Merdeka 118 which could be viewed from the Superior King Room. There are cafes and restaurants all around the hotel. Bed is spacious and comfortable, staff are very cheerful and helpful, even met the boss who is frank, friendly and engaging in conversation. There is also a lounge beside the hotel which opens till late.

The soap used could be of better quality and fragrance, there was also no differentiation of hand soap, body soap and shampoo. If you are particular about having a good shower, bring your own soap and shampoo.

Everything - the staff is veryy nice and accommodatin (sorry for messing with the key causing you to break it to let me in tho 🥹, thank you so much, the day staff at lobby, for that 💛). I also like it that the night staff is awake any time I come back (at 3 or 4am tho) and has something on his phone to watch. I mean, the sound makes me feel safe that there’s someone there at the lobby, as I’m all alone 🤣 Location is great, around 50m to Jalan Petalling the night market/food street, 150m to a list of food stalls on Jalan Sultan road (Seng Kee, Mee Tarik, Nam Heong, the list goes on), some of which open very late at night (I visited one at around 3am). There are also tourist destinations nearby (the bookstore BookXcess and Kwai chai Hong with like wall paintings). It’s within walking distance to the LRT station (only used the red line so Im not so sure abt others) and only one station away from KL Sentral. If you travel from the airport to cuty central with KL espress, it leaves you off at KL Sentral so this is +++ convenient. It’s also one station away from Bukit Bintang aka the central with most luxury shopping malls. The room is clean and the bed is comfy. It’s more than enough for a solo traveler like me, and enough for couples as well. The corridor, lobby and lift smell so good I literally wished to stay in it for a bit longer for the smell.
