I personally love this place, but my wife - NO I'm a backpacker forever and the room was comfortable enough (as long as you get a window double) with air con and a fan. The owner is a nice bloke (as was the last one) but true, the rooms a bit tired and the bathroom plumbing pretty ratshit. The main attraction in this place is the fantastic location and the open rooftop where you can chill at anytime and always plenty room. A short walk from local train station (used to get airport bus to Chinatown, but not any more). Markets very close, but now the "Robbers Market" in same street outside entrance.(Second hand market early mornings till about 10.30am)

Really need to fix the plumbing. No on-site "ownership" ....the happy fellow backpacker with all the local info. The area changed (like the rest of the world after COVID) and the cheap 8 Ringets meals are now 28 Ringets. The Sheraton is 400m away and a huge accommodation tower now in Chinatown..... Which I guess explains prices hike.

-It was self checkin. -Owner would contact you on whatsapp/Booking.com app with all the details and places you can visit -Best thing is location. Opposite to MRT Paser Seni(which is kind of junction from where you can go to almost all known places, which is cheaper option than car. Near to bus station walking distance to petling street and restaurants And 7/11 store(where you can get anything even packaged food 24/7) -If you arrive early, you can wait at the roof top cafe

The shower wasn't working. We booked two rooms(one by another family member), there AC wasn't working properly and shower head was broken.

Cozy calm place, I really liked the bird theme. Rooftop is a chill place where you can get free tea and coffee. The location is so great that it's right next to the subway. The bed and bathroom were clean. The owner helped us with the check-in. You can self-check which is a great feature (sadly I had no internet and couldn't get the message from the owner). Overall if you are looking for a place to just sleep this is the best cost efficient hotel in KL.

Nothing much, mostly the cost justifies the negatives (such as small rooms, thin walls that you can hear everything).

The location is great, so easy to reach from the airport - just one change and if you pick the exit A from MRT you will see the hotel on the opposite side of the street. Google gives you a slightly wrong idea of the entrance location, it is on the right side of the building if looking from the exit A MRT. There is a tiny street which google doesn't know. Room is sort of small but has a high ceiling. Small bathroom with shower. There is AC. The rooftop is nice, you can also get a free water (refill) from there. Communication with the owner via WhatsApp, I only saw him when I left the hotel. Many restaurants, cafes and shops are nearby.

Lighting could be better. If you have heavy luggage the stairs are quite long so be prepared. Street noises come trough window so earplugs are nice (hotel provides some for you)

The location was perfect, so close to everything. The MRT station is literally across the road, China town was about 150m away. The roof top cafe seating area is a really nice place, sadly not very many of the guests used it whilst I was there, but I can imagine it's a great place to meet other travellers. There is free tea, coffee and water, plus a help yourself fridge stocked with cold beer, you just put the money in the pot in the fridge. The owner is very accommodating and is always somewhere around the property.

I had a room that was facing the road, which was a very busy one at night, but the owner does supply earplugs.

-Very Good location next to China town -Good travel links to airports trains & buses. -Good air con & fan systems. - Decent facilities, drinking water, tea, coffee, toaster & fully equipped kitchen. -Rooftop hang out is lovely -Staff really helpful & nice

- The location is central & so it’s noisy - they do give you ear plugs. - The rooftop is open air, Malaysia is very humid, so cooking up there is less appealing if you are planning to - I didn’t see anyone cook!

The host was a friendly guy, walked us to our room and showed us how things worked. Even sent us a map of the train lines (there was a train station right across the road which was only a couple of stops away from KL Sentral), and gave us a couple of recommendations. Shower toilet situation was good, there was aircon, the bed was comfy, more than enough space in the room for things. The rooftop was super cute. Location to the train station ended up being really handy since we spent a fair bit of time on the trains.

Not that it was a completely bad thing but the lights were just a bit dim in the room at night

The guesthouse's location was perfect, close to the train station, restaurants and attractions. The owner Eckhart was charming, friendly and helpful. The rooftop was a great place to chill out with free water refills and tea and coffee. The place seemed to attract an older crowd which was perfect for me! Great value for money!!

Nothing!

We stayed at the guesthouse for 3 nights. Very enjoyable. The man running it, Huan (not sure how to spell it) was very friendly and helpful. Location was super, very central and close to food, markets, the train/tram station. Our room was at the corner of two streets, but I found it easy to sleep, even without earplugs, wasn't so loud at night. The AC can be really cold, but it was also cosy just using the ventilation on the ceiling. So, had two options. Great. The rooftop is like in the picture, pretty. And you can see the sunset over the train station.

There was little flies in the shower, but we are in a tropical country in Asia. I didn't mind at all, but some could. I found it hard to use the shower. Took a while to figure it out.
