Great view to the harbour. Close to public transport and restaurants (on the way down to the ferry). We had a newer room on the 8th floor; large with a balcony and nice bathroom. Bed was fantastic. Staff were very friendly: Pushkar and Albi are very attentive barmen, and Ramesh from housekeeping did some towel art on the bed one morning, which was sweet.

Some parts of the original hotel still feel unfinished - these details are noticeable. You have to walk past unloved rooms and crumbling corners to get to the lifts. It makes you think of faded glories. The outdoor bar area on the steep street is noisy. A bar upstairs on the roof (I think they’re building a restaurant up there so maybe there’ll be a bar up there too) would be away from traffic and much quieter.

Our stay at the Grand Hotel on Gozo was excellent. All staff were without exception from check-in, bar, restaurant, room cleaner very friendly and efficient. Some aspects of the hotel were a little tired - the bath/shower could do with an update, the basin in our toilet constantly ran - wasting water (a valuable commodity on Gozo) - one for maintenance (room 602). The swimming pool area was somewhat cramped and the fact that there was just a phone by which to order drinks and bar snacks wasn't very convenient. Having said that the location was great, aircon excellent, food (particularly breakfast) was great.

The distance from the ferry terminal was an easy. walk to the hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable and the complimentary welcome bottle of wine and water bottles were a nice touch. The view from the balcony was fantastic. Good air conditioning and it was great having the sofa to relax on with sea views visible from inside the room.

Overpriced for what was offered. The pools closed at 7pm, which is ridiculous during the peak of summer and towels were only available at reception, 4 levels away from the pool. The service was mediocre and the coffee was appalling, inside the room was cheap instant packets and the breakfast coffee tasted like someone had used those packets and mixed it directly with hot water. Cleaning standards were under par with visible stains on the floorboards of our room and dirty glass on balcony.

Staff very friendly & accommodating. Good value breakfast & quality of food menu on offer. Balcony room & facilities very good. Would have used the pool facilities more if 'open' beyond 7pm. Having 'ExtraDivers' SCUBA centre right next door very handy & should be a selling point.

Overall very happy with our stay, although hotel quite dated in many ways. Could do with a refresh. Evening meals: BBQ & a-la-carte menus very expensive, hence we ate elsewhere mostly. Did not use the SPA facilities as was expensive in my view. Staff were very helpful, but could have described / offered more information on things to do / see in immediate area.

The pool is huge and sheltered and has plenty of beds. As there were high winds this was a huge asset on our trip. The port and villiage location are so convenient - dont miss the many local restaurants at the lower harbour level. The sea view from the balconies and terrace are gorgous. The roof top barbeque had superb food. The chocolate cake!

In general it is a bit out of date and in need of upkeep work. A few broken tiles, gaps in wall and floor, surfaces needing major clean. A shower curtain in the bathroom is well out of date. While some staff were friendly and helpfull (particularly the cleaning staff) others were not.

We had a room with a balcony and the view of the harbour. It was amazing. Super spacious room, with all the amenities one really need. Ironing board, safe, mini bar fridge, tv. Beds were super comfy especially pillows. Considering we stayed in Gozo for 5 nights it was the best decision made. Mgarr harbour (ferry terminal) is just 2 minutes walk down and you are 25 mns away from Malta mainland. There are also fast ferries directly to Valletta. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone willing to enjoy their stay in Gozo. Buffet style breakfast is just another amazing addition to this hotel. Definitely select your room with breakfast included, you will thank me later. Free parking if you happen to rent a car. Although, reception needs to be informed. 5 out of 5 imo. It is impossible to put everything good about this hotel here and I would say that this hotel exceeded my expectations. Btw forgot to mention that there are 2 swimming pools, spa and and a wonderful restaurant on the 9th floor. P/S. I also requested additional service for my gf for her birthday. Bouquet of flowers, fruit plate, bottle of white sparkling wine and a nice decoration on the bed. Thank you Beth we trully appreciated your artwork.

Shower pressure was not good in our room even though we had 2 showers. Unfortunately neither of them produced enough pressure to have a pleasant shower. Perhaps it was just our room. Not a huge thing for me though.

The hotel was lovely, the pool and rooftop bar were the highlights. The breakfast was delicious with masses of choice. The staff were amazing. The receptionist called a taxi for us when my partner was not feeling well and had to go to the doctor and he tried to assist us with care and professionalism. The staff at the rooftop bar were friendly and very attentive. They took time to converse with us and made us feel very welcome. The rooftop bar was a bit costly but it was worth it for the view and the amazing cocktail. I cannot wait to go back to this hotel.

Parking was not great. The car park was underground and quite tight to enter.

Beautiful renovated room which exceeded our expectations. Very comfy bed and the view is amazing :) Our housekeeping personnel prepared a lovely surprise as a celebration of our occasion. Thank you once again Ramesh, it was such a sweet gesture and very much appreciated!

Nothing much to complain about :) Maybe the upkeep of the lower level corridors and ACs through corridors could be better and supervision of the pool as children were diving and splashing people.

Also I was very pleased seeing my wife cheerfull reaction when we entered our room and found a nicely "towels made-up decoration" forming a Swan and couple of flowers - thanks to your Hotel chamberman, Mr. Ramesh. Sometimes the water pressure is nearly to zero, especially after we flash the toilet and sometimes in the morning.

The hotel is in excellent location very close to the port in Gozo with stunning views. The staff were just amazing - we had a slight issue with the room that we were initially given, but the front desk team rectified it swiftly and professionally without any issues. The actual room that we stayed in was spacious, clean and had ample amenities. I have stayed at this property multiple times and will certainly be back 😊

The breakfast options were quite limited - this will be a challenge especially for guests staying for longer periods of time
