Very good location, quiet, easy to reach the bus, ferry to Valletta also reachable by walking 15 min. clean, correct price for the services and category. Hostess and entire staff very nice and helpful, offering all necessary information

Not a bad mark, just to be aware that after 8 p.m area is very quiet , no restaurants or shops open around if you arrive late and need water or meal

This was one of the best stays ever! Doreen and Antoine are the sweetest and nicest hosts. They helped us with all our queries and shared the tips and tricks that only the locals know. They were super patient and accommodating. The property is beautiful, and the location is amazing - very good connectivity. I was there for more than a week, but they made it feel like home. Very warm and perfect value for money. Excellent service, too! This wasn't just a stay, this was an experience we will cherish for life. I highly recommend Villa Del Porto!

We were really pleased to stay at Villa del Porto. It was a pleasure to eat the breakfast on the top floor of the hotel building. There is a port in the harbour, so you have a wonderful view. The hotel owners were very kind and helpful. They gave us a lot of hints how to travel on Malta. Also, they let us in earlier and provided breakfast on the last day before the regular breakfast time. The hotel room had AC, a fridge and TV-set and there were power sockets that supported regular plugs, so you don't have to bring your own power adapters.

Yes, you can always find some minuses - the bathroom was always clean, but it was a bit cramped and required some gymnastics when changing clothes but that was the only drawback we could think of.

Great attention is given to every guest and the host is very nice. The location is perfect to explore the whole island and I think is even better than Valletta. At this place you can relax and have fun at the same time. There is a stunning view from the terrace at the top of the building where you can enjoy your breakfast. Nearby you can go swimming, visit many old buildings in the three old cities or just relax in some cafe. Much more quiet than Valletta and you can go for a run in the morning or take a walk with your loved one around the coast.

It was a very pleasure to stay there! We highly recommend to all this hotel, the people were very very nice and helpful! The room was beautiful: comfortable, big and full of services just like a mini-frigo, the coffee ecc.. Around the place is calm and quiet and there’s an amazing rooftop where you can have breakfast (it’s good and there’s a lot of choice), with a fantastic view. Everything in this hotel was neat, we couldn’t find any lack of cleaning, not even a little detail. The room is also cleaned and tidy every day. The most beautiful thing for us will always be the kindness of the people: the kind of people you would like to meet around more often, we felt welcomed, as at home. So… GO THERE!

When we've booked our stay at Villa Del Porto, we thought that we would live in a place with a nice view, but, it turned out that we got way more than that: 1 - The most important thing that I would like to point out, is the attitude and hospitality of the owners! They are friendly, helpful and very nice people in general. We've had multiple interesting conversations regarding Malta, the local climate and the surrounding infrastructure, and the owner even suggested a couple of interesting places to visit when we've talked about our planned routes for the day. 2 - The view from the balcony is just stunning. Our room had a marvellous view on the city of Birgu and a quiet bay full of yachts. We could even see a little bit of Valletta from there. We've travelled to many places in Malta during our stay, but this view and the calm atmosphere will definitely be the one that we will associate Malta with. The same view, but a little higher is also available on the terrace, which is open for all guests 24/7. 3 - Kalkara (the city that the hotel is located in) doesn't have much shops or tourist attractions. At first we thought that this would be a problem during our vacation, but it turned out that this was for the best. Because of this, Kalkara has calm and relaxing atmosphere, where You can spend some time just enjoying the moment without any distractions. There are a couple of small local shops and restaurants on the same street, just 200 meters away from the hotel, which is more than enough in case if You feel hungry. 4 - Despite the stunning view and the surrounding atmosphere, our stay at Villa Del Porto was not expensive at all, when comparing to other places at the same time period. So our stay had very good value for money.

The only thing that I didn't like is that my vacation was so short and that I couldn't stay there longer :) Just a small remark. Not all rooms have balconies (not sure about the bay view), so for the same experience make sure that You reserve a room that has one. In case if You're planning to have dinner at the balcony (normal dinner, not fast food) then make sure that You bring the plates and cutlery with You, since they are not available in the rooms (which is logical, since this is a hotel, not a rental apartment).

Astonish breakfast: view to the yacht club and some fortresses, helpful attendant, the owner are very friendly and helpful, a lot of variety of food to eat. Nice room: lot of space, AC and WiFi worked perfectly, not the best view from the room, but well protected of the firework sounds haha. It has his own refrigerator. The personal helped us giving to the room plates and cutlery instantly when we asked for them. Well located: nice place to walk and travel, relaxed and beatifull views everywhere.

On this case, I can't find anything to complain about.

We had amazing stay in this beautiful stay with harbour views. The breakfast on the terrace was just such a great way to start our day. The owners of the hotel are so so lovely and welcoming and we had such nice chats. We also appreciated the location. It was so calming, with beautiful views of the sky and harbour, just as in the picture. You can walk to the next harbour in a few minutes and easily take the 2€ bus boat to Valetta. Amazing value for money and I would always book again.

This is a great guesthouse in Kalkara's marina, close to public transportation (bus station), a bakery and several restaurants. The rooms have beautiful view on the marina, and the breakfast on the rooftop is only a plus. The rooms are clean and tidy, well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts, Doreen and Antoine, are local and incredibly kind and helpful! I made a mistake at my reservation and needed to extend with a night, and they were eager to help. On my last day I needed to stay away from the sun before my flight in the evening, because of my skin problem, and they let me stay in the shaded rooftop terrace (otherwise breakfast area), so I could spend my day in a pleasant environment with a view to remember. Antoine even invited me for a glass of wine. Strongly recommend!

Maybe the breakfast could have used some eggs, but otherwise everything was more than fine.

Location was brilliant view was fantastic area was quiet but only 10min walk from busy waterfront bars and restaurants. Owners where fantastic extremely welcoming and nothing was too much for them. Breakfast on the roof with stunning views had a communal fridge freezer for beer or wine storage. Several small bars and restaurants close by with reasonable prices and quality food. Spacious rooms 15min walk to valletta ferry. Would personally like to thank antoine and doreen for making our stay so special we will be coming back
