Amazing building and room, exactly like the photo, you can feel yourself sleeping in a real palace. Very comfortable and perfect location. Nice breakfast.

The communication with the host was difficult. We arrived late, I sent this info before but we got the get in informations so late, actually in front of the place. We got a better room because of this,so I said it’s ok. But later I would like to ask some info about checking out, playing taxes, lagguage room possibilities, etc. But the host simply Ignit es my msg. The host wasnt there and the stuff wasnt able to help me. So I felt this a little rude. But the place is really wonderful.

The ambiance is enchanting, with a perfect blend of modern comfort and historical charm. The rooms are spacious, elegantly decorated with class and taste, providing a cozy retreat after a day of exploring. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the port, making it easy to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.I would highly recommend Palazzino Birgu to anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience. Birgu is a nice place to stay, was easy to find parking nearby to the accommodation. Building is super nice, room has a kind of authentic feeling with some modern impact. They kindly provided to us extra beach towels.

Breakfast is monotonous, same every day and quite limited. Like one glass of juice, 1 pc of egg, 1 tomato per person. If someone is there you can ask some more, but can take time to bring some more egg from a shop. Room has air conditioning, but either the lowest fan setting is very noisy and hard to sleep ( room is very hot/ outside was very warm during the night too) Communication with owner via phone/WhatsApp is working, but via Booking msg there was no any reply to my request.

The history and decor of the building explained beautifully by Chiara. Inoshi the house keeper was kind, attentive and professional. The size of the room, bed and bathroom was enormous, but comfortable and surprisingly cosy with an enclosed balcony. Short walk to the Grand Harbour, ferry/boats to Valletta and restaurants.

Breakfast served in a fabulous kitchen, great for a short stay as not massively varied but we stayed 5 nights and maybe should have ventured out one day or two instead. Still, presented beautifully and fresh

Fabulous 4 bedroom B&B, great location in the centre of old Birgu, 5 minutes walk to the river taxis & a couple of minutes walk to the Gate of Provence.( Where you will find lots of places to park free of charge) Lovely, warm and friendly greeting from Chiara who is the perfect host, we also had to pleasure of meeting 2 of her daughter's who looked after us during breakfast. Stunning property with beautifully decorated bedroom and a great rooftop terrace with views to Valetta. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

Don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere so under priced !! Absolutely stunning property with impeccable, tasteful upgrades and modernisation for safety and comfort - but with all the beauty and style of a traditional mansion. In Venice this would cost £1000s!!! Every little thing has been considered for guests - from the suggest towels to a cosy kitchenette and guide books/ board games.

Navigating initial locking systems was fractionally challenging - but nothing to dislike - other than leaving this perfect property!

Outstanding experience! The building is GORGEOUS and Chiara was a superb hostess. Palazzino Birgu is an ancient building that has been impeccably renovated. Anyone who is interested in architecture, interior design or history will love this place. Great location just off the main square. Walk to anything or take a gondola over to Valletta. We rented a car for part of our trip so we could explore Malta and Gozo and had little trouble finding free overnight parking on nearby streets. It might be a challenge in peak season or on weekend nights when people come to Vittoriosa/Birgu for the beautiful atmosphere, but in early May, parking was not an issue. Definitely spring for one of the superior rooms if available. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and well decorated. Loved meeting interesting guests from all over the world at the large breakfast table. It made for a very memorable experience. Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable, Chiara!

Difficult for our Uber driver to find. It is right next to the Inquisitor's Palace on a side street, so if you can find the Inquisitor's Palace, you are very close by!

A perfect and very romantic place to stay and enjoy Birgu/Valetta and the surroundings. A couple of stairs away from Birgu's main square and less than 5min to the peer where the lovely boats (only EUR 2,-) to Valetta leave - a stressless way into the city. It felt so authentic and warm to live in this ancient Palazzino. I enjoyed the roof terrace to relax. Chiara is a very sympathetic and helpful host. Thank you!

The mattress was far too soft for us. Well, a matter of taste. Minor recommendation: My wife would have wished a milky glas (as we had for the shower) or foldable door for the toilet as well.

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed at! I wanted our first night at Malta to be at an authentic maltese style home and this incredible palazzo is exactly that and more. We arrived by taxi from airport late at night and already the street and entrance was so romantic looking. Once you get inside the house- it’s overwhelmingly beautiful, luxurious and so comfortable! Tall ceilings, thick ancient stone walls, great interior decoration, attention to detail is just amazing Great location too and i m so happy we chose BIRGO to be our first destination. From there one can easily take a local boat to Valetta 2€ pp one way. Birgo is much more pleasant to stay than Valetta as it’s less crowded and more intimate. After check out time we still were allowed to keep the key to the front door and were allowed to use the living space downstairs before leaving to our new destination House manager Chiara is very welcoming and accommodating, breakfast was good and in gorgeous dining room. I m definitely coming back to this place!! Much recommended!!

Located just 100m from the main square in Birgu, but so quiet. A beautiful building with fantastic rooms and access to a roof terrace Chiara was a wonderful host, making sure everything was OK, and providing a lovely breakfast. A friendly helpful lady who was always interested in what we thought of the island and great suggestions for areas to explore.

My only suggestion is to provide a shaded area on the roof terrace - as I am fair skinned I would have appreciated this.
