Loved the location. In the center but away from the crowds. You can go anywhere in Malta from there. The staffs were exceptional. They go out of their way to help. Special mention to Maya, Abuya, Laura, Era, and Eva. The room was adequate for a couple and it has a coffee maker too. A plus is it's near Lidl, just 2 minutes walk away. Enjoyed our stay and will stay again if we go back. We are leaving at 4:30am and they even asked if we wanted something to take away for breakfast. Highly recommended.

You can hear the people next door but isn't really enough to keep you up.

The hotel staff were really helpful, approachable and friendly. Mayara was so forthcoming with great recommendations for food, transport and activities to do. Also, the breakfast selection was amazing! Everything was so delicious. The property was so incredibly clean and the housekeeping staff did an amazing job. They also timed the cleaning for when we went to breakfast or went out which worked really well. Location was absolutely perfect. Great shopping within a 10-15 minute walk, supermarket a couple hundred metres away, and bars/restaurants 5 - 15 minutes walk. We loved it. A very fun and relaxing stay.

Nothing!

December 2024

In summary, we stayed at Amery in early December. Our stay cost around 280€ for 4 nights. Please note we stayed in the 'Suite With Terrace' and received this room as a free upgrade as we had originally booked 'Superior Double or Twin Room', although nothing was ever said about it and we were kind of just 'put there' without explanation. The Good - - Staff are all friendly and talkative. - The free upgrade I mention in my summary... - The room has literally everything you would expect - fridge, wardrobe, many drawers for storage, a desk with space, large and comfy bed with choice of pillows, effective climate control, a section for an espresso machine and a large selection of complementary teas and coffee. - The bathroom was also fantastic - ample supply of toilet roll, shower was nice, hairdryer etc. - The terrace with the jacuzzi is the main selling point of this room in my opinion - it has bubbles and lighting, and is a sturdy one (not a blow-up one). Obviously, it has some nice views. - Value for money Overall, this would be a 9.5/10, but due to the free upgrade and generally how good this room made our stay, a 10 is fully justified.

The Bad - - We couldn't figure out how the HDMI worked with the TV. Chromecast is available but when we tried it, movies and shows were stuttery. - The walls are quite thin. We were lucky to be on the top floor so we were disturbed by this only a few times in the night by people returning to their rooms outside, but you I can imagine this being more of a problem on other floors. The Neutral - - The all inclusive breakfast does not include any hot food you would typically find at other hotels. Very pastry/carb/sugar based - what is there is unique and delicious, and there is staff on hand to make drinks for you every morning.

-Primarily, the staff. They were all very kind, welcoming and hospitable. During our stay, they all regularily checked-in on us and asked if everything was okay. - Great location, 2 min from the sea and numerous supermarkets, bars and restaurants within 10 min. Also, 2 min to the bus to Valetta. - Delicious breakfast (thank you Verica!). It would be great if variaty was slightly better. - Beautiful design of the apartment, with natural tones. Also, daily refill of drinking water was a nice touch. Comfortable beds.

- The noise! If it had not been for the noise, this would have been an easy 10/10. We felt as if we slept on the street as there was no sound proofing of the wooden balcony. Also, apartment doors are super noisy when closed from the outside, so you hear whenever someone closes their apartment doors somewhere in the hotel. - The floors could have been a bit better cleaned in the apartment. - The fridge in the room can barely cool anything you put inside. Even on max power.

Very nice, well-kept facility located literally 2 minutes walk from the water and bus stop. Tasty breakfast, good coffee and tea. Beautifully scented bathroom cosmetics. Fantastic, communicative and smiling staff! :) A pleasant surprise was the room upgrade upon arrival.

Our room was on the ground floor by the entrance (in the second part than the reception), unfortunately the opening and closing of the entrance door was very loud. Strange bugs (resembling an earthworm) entered through the patio belonging to the room, which was very unpleasant. The pillows in the bed were uncomfortable.

This boutique hotel is very ideally situated just off the main road of Sliema in a quiet street. The staff were very welcoming, hospitable and informative throughout our stay. Upon request, we were kindly allowed to check in an hour prior and an hour after the official check in and check out times. To celebrate our occassion, we were given a little treat upon entering our room which was greatly appreciated! Our room was clean, modern and had all the ammenities required from a fridge, iron, coffee machine and perfectly working AC. The beds were comfy aswell. The rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels were also provided daily. The breakfast consisted of a very decent range of sweet and savoury items. There is also a coffee machine for those who need their morning latte/cappucino fix. There’s a Lidl closeby and plenty of other shops and Restaurants within walking distance of this hotel. If you’re getting a bus transfer from the Airport to the hotel, then note that ‘Ghadir’ is the stop to get off at in Sliema to get to the hotel. Allow approximately an hour from or to the Airport if using the bus transfer service in peak times.

The signal for the TV channels did keep cutting off very regularly during our stay. We could hear other residents on our floor and neighbouring residents to our room quite clearly during the early hours of breakfast time. I assume this is a soundproofing issue. Although the hotel does store luggage, there isn’t a designated room. From our personal experience, It is stored within the reception/communal lounge area. Although we had no issues with our luggage, as a minimum we would kindly recommend atleast a ticket/tag system for anybody who wishes to access any stored luggage for security purposes of peoples belongings.

The staff (and I mean ALL of the hotel staff) was amazing! Every employee we met at the hotel was professional, courteous, and went out of their way to make my wife and I felt comfortable and ensure we had all that we needed. I attribute that to the leadership of Alessandro (Hotel General Manager). It is clear that Alessandro hires only employees that understand what customer service entails (a trait that Alessandro exhibited every day). The property itself is a boutique hotel and each room is well equipped with the latest furnishings and everything that the guest would need. The hotel provides a free breakfast which was AWESOME! Although the boutique hotel itself is a very cute property, Alessandro and the staff are what will ensure my wife and I return in the future. Thank you, Alessandro and your entire staff for ensuring our stay with you was memorable!

Nothing!

Best breakfast I had in a hotel in Malta. a variety of everything, granola, croissants and omelette. Everything in a good quality. The location is perfect, close to the sea and all shopping possibilities in Sliema. The beds are comfortable and the design is great, but the best thing about the hotel are the employees ! Really helpful and interested your well being. Thanks for that

We liked the polite and friendly receptionist, who helped with the charging of our devices, gave us a map with the most interesting spots and what type of transport is the best. The breakfast was great with variety for every taste. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The location is perfect, 2 min from the bus stop.

The isolation of the room wasn’t good, every door opened and closed, every conversation, every process of the cleaning staff were heard. They were loud and did it on an open door, regardless we have asked to close it.

Everything was perfect, the staff was really friendly end helpful, they gave us amazing recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing. The location of the hotel was the best, perfect for relaxing, but near to everything, the neighbourhood was nice and quiet, two minutes walk from the bus station and five minutes walk from the ferries - very nice markets and shops nearby. Our room was on the first floor, really comfy bed and had everything we might need, even iron. The breakfast was also really good, a lots of options, everything freshly baked and made and very nice Maltese treats. Totally recommend.
