From the point of booking our stay at Casa Rocca Piccola B&B, everything was top notch. The communication received from Marta upon booking was greatly appreciated with a document arriving listing places to visit, restaurants to eat at as well as general information about our stay. Prior to arrival I had contacted Marta requesting information about transport from the airport into Valletta & again the communication was excellent. As we arrived on a Public Holiday, we received clear instructions as to what to do seeing it was not a normal working day. We were delighted to be met by Marchioness de Piro & shown to our room. We just loved the Elephant Room – it was a very comfortable 4 night stay. Breakfast in the garden was a lovely setting each morning, particularly when joined by Kiku the beautiful Macaw. The ladies who looked after us were all very friendly & could not do enough for us. It is fair to say that one of our biggest highlights of our trip to Valletta was actually staying at the Casa Rocca Piccola B&B. Being able to stay in a piece of Valletta history was fantastic & the private tour with Marquis de Piro was just outstanding. Not only is the Marquis a delightful person, but his knowledge & passion for this wonderful palace & the history of his family – it was truly a memorable experience. Thank you to all at Casa Rocca Piccola, but especially the de Piro family for allowing visitors to Valletta to experience this wonderful palace & family. PS. The Sicilian Restaurant, La Giara, that is in the palace building is also excellent!

We liked eveything in this property. It is probably the most special place we have ever stayed. The property itself is a must-see place. The staff is very friendly and helpful, amazing. If you stay overnight at this place the owner will give you a private free tour (the tour will take place three times in a week) in this house and shows you hidden gems which are not shown to regular visitors. As part of the tour you can also visit the bomb shelter under the house. And car enthusiasts also have something exciting historical to see in this house. The breakfast is just wonderful. You can enjoy it in this wonderful little garden, where a parrot and two turtles keep you company. WiFi connection was also very fast and good at this place.

I would go back there any time!

utterly fabulous room - spacious and wonderfully decorated. the B&B is in a great location in the heart of Valletta and easy to get to the food hall or upmarket restaurants. The Mediterranean breakfast was simple but lovely. the guided tour by the owner of the property was fascinating.

not really for the property but Valletta is much more expensive than the rest of the island. However, being in the middle of everything was really nice - a short walk to bars and live music and sea views. If you want to sit out you share the garden with day visitors - not an issue for us.

The breakfast was excellent, a large choice, the fruit was delicious, the orange cake exceptional, plenty to suit everyone's tastes. Sitting in the beautiful garden was delightful. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The private tour of the house was fascinating. The fabulous bedroom (The Elephant Room) was lovely, the beautiful bed was very comfortable, there was plenty of hot water and lots to look at and admire in the room. I am so glad I chose to stay in the Casa Rocca Piccola, the equivalent of staying in an English stately home. I loved it and would definitely stay again. Just sorry to leave!

There was nothing I did not like - only leaving at the end of my stay!

Such an amazing and unique experience staying at the Casa Rocca Piccola! There are only 5 rooms and the B&B is part of the historic Villa from the 1500's. The guests stay on a separate floor and the Villa itself is in great shape and is stunning. The rooms are spacious and fitted out in an eclectic style that fits well with the overall ambiance. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Bathroom worked well, generous shower and again, very clean. Breakfast is in a lovely outdoor courtyard and had several options. For guests of the B&B there was a personal tour by the Marquis himself, which was outstanding and a highlight of our stay. Although located on the main road, the B&B was away from the most touristed area of town and was nice and quiet at night.

Some additional hot food or additional egg options for breakfast would be nice, but this is a minor observation.

We loved everything at this place! It is a unique place to stay in and we really enjoyed staying there. We arrived at the morning and recived coffee with homemade cookies and than did the tour at casa Rocca Piccola which was very intetesting and special. We stayed at the elephent room that was big and comfortable and we liked it. 5 minutes from the center of Valleta and very close to all the torisem places. The staff was very kind, especially Belen that helped us a lot. A good worth to the money!

We liked everything.

Who can complain about sleeping in an authentic palazzo? Breakfast al fresco in a courtyard serenaded by the resident parrot. Wonderful accommodations, lovely staff, perfect location for a walk of the entire city. Bonus: a tour of the palazzo and bomb shelter(just below the building) peppered with mesmerizing history and personal experiences by the Marquis himself! The attached Sicilian restaurant is a must!

I wish we could have stayed longer.

It was a joy to stay here from start to finish. The house is full of history and atmosphere, but also has mod cons like USB charging points in the room, and our bed was so comfortable. We weren't disturbed at all by noise from the street, even though there was a music festival in town! Breakfast in the courtyard was a gentle and wonderful way to start the day, and although the entire stay was a highlight, the most amazing highlight was a guided tour of the house by the Marquis, Nicholas de Piro, who is so modest and down-to-earth, and an entertaining mine of information about the history of the family and house.

A beautiful building in the center of the city. The host even picked us up at the car park because we arrived late at night. Breakfast was fine, the room was very clean and cleaned daily.

Only detail maybe was the friendly man at breakfast who was a bit clumsy and not so good with the coffee machine (the coffee tasted much better when the lady made it). But the smiles and apologies made up for that so the fact that this is the only thing i can think of to mention says a lot about this great place.

Stay here if you want to get a taste of the island's long history and wonderful tradition. As a couple who love getting to know the history and the people of the place we are visiting, staying at museum/palace, was a unique experience! The bed was really comfortable and just what we needed after a long day. We also enjoyed having our breakfast in its pretty garden. If you stay here don't miss the tour of the house by its owner, the very kind and elegant Marquis de Piro! The house is also very centrally located, but we didn't have a problem finding a parking place near Saint Elmo, which is really a short walk from the Palace.

Nothing really.
