We spent five nights at the LUX Grand Gaube. When we first arrived, we had the pleasure of being welcomed by kind employees who handled our check-in while we relaxed with a proper coffee in the waiting area. We didn't have to stand in line, and the check-in procedure was extremely leisurely. When you enter the hall, the view of the sea is really breathtaking, and the check-in personnel is outstanding. The facilities (SPA, Fitness, Pool Area, Restaurants and the beach) are super clean and staff is always available. If you want you can participate in many different activities during the day but also in the evening. It was the first time that only 5 days felt like 14 days as we were so relaxed. The room was cleaned two times per day and was very comfortable. We were staying at the adults only area, and it felt like a private beach and very relaxing. The activities offered were very enjoyable (Qi Gong classes, ping pong, paddle tennis classes, wake-board and all of these complimentary). We also had the chance to enjoy the Wellness Junior suite package which allowed us to enjoy even more the spa and massages. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay amazing and unforgettable, even until our check-out at 4am with a lovely take away breakfast prepared.

We had the most wonderful stay. The staff were incredibly helpful with anything we needed and the hotel was just beautiful. We loved the spa facilities and went most days, it is so tranquil. We spent a lot of our time on the adult beach which was absolute heaven. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We will definitely come again.

- One criticism I would say is that we were placed in a room right next to a very loud family. I would suggest if you have a childfree couple staying to not put them near where children are staying as the walls are very thin and it meant we didn't want to be in the room when they were running around screaming. Thankfully we had the adult beach to go to! - The shower pressure was also very poor, even when we asked maintenance to have a look, but this could have just been our room.

The food was amazing. The buffet and different restaurants were all amazing. Special thanks to Executive Chef David Miras for leading the team and the pianist at breakfast for the great ambiance. If you do take HalfBoat, I still recommend going to the INTI that is not included. That was the most amazing food of my live. Special thanks to the amazing music provided by Freddy (amazing guitarist and singer). Animation was also plenty and great fun. Special thanks to Kevin for the great workout, Prithvi and Yvette for their guidance, company and party fun. Final thanks to Bundhoo of housekeeping, for making our room and loved the animals he made with the towels.

Make sure to bring mosquito spray with you. Double check all the info when you come as honeymooners. When you book via Booking you cannot login directly yourself, go to reception to do it. The LUX app actually reserves the activity when you save it under "My Events". The IT should change this, to reserving. For the user it makes it more clear and the workers will have a better understanding of how many participants are coming to the activities.

The standout was excellent service. Staff were transparent about what was and what was not included. The food was good. A variety of water sports were easily accessible and included. Our room was luxurious. The spa is of a high standard.

Some parts of the property are “dated” (need upgrading). The pictures look more stylish than in reality. It is a typical resort (a lot of guests, loud music, many activities). There are two beaches yet both are relatively small.

hotel is A M A Z I N G. almost everything was perfect. the stuff was the most helpful ever. Concierges tried to do their best to fix our luggage issue with Air Mauritius (by the way - not recommended). Before our stay I asked for specific rooms and I got them, even if I was aware that it depends from availability. Thank you, much appreciate. Everyone are so polite and ready do make your holidays so special. Part for adults is very calm and quite - the quality of relax and chill made there is priceless. Water activities Team was also great - they were able to communicate with my no english dad with a good sense of humor! Thank you!

restaurant prices are crazy… way to high and as there are no other places to eat in close neighborhood you are doomed to these prices so as not to starve to death. And the second terrible thing - making reservations to restaurants… you need to know what you want to eat one day before… if not, you will not get a table even if they are not occupied. Stuff from Beach Rouge were so kind to find something for us, but a lady from Bodrum Blue said definite no. This was the worst thing in this hotel. We are on vacation, I dont want to plan my food cravings one or two days before.

The staff is amazing. I have never felt that welcomed at any hotel. Staff is answering all your questions rapidly. Their service was benchmark. thank you Manuja, Kumar, Thana and Kawol. food is really good. we stayed half board and it was enough. we tried most of the restaurants and they all are good. Our favorite was main court. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Interior design of the rooms and hotel was exquisite. On the beach, you have options (for families and adult area) so hotel is inclusive for both type of the travelers.

Sea near the hotel is not my type it was shallow and some seaweed. But this was not a showstopper for me

The resort was amazing. The staff were helpful and they were the nicest people I have ever met. I liked the fact that you did not have to leave the resort for activities… the place is jam packed with activities and things to do. The restaurants make the most amazing food. The food options are endless.. with buffets and fine dining.

Loved the location, the aesthetic and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

It wasn’t as clean as you would expect a 5 star property to be. The rooms weren’t cleaned as you expect, the glasses in the draw to drink water from had a fish smell.

I did not like the quality of cleaning in the rooms was terrible through out the week, I was not impressed. I also did not like the speed of some of the workers especially at breakfast and dinner it was as if most of them were trainees.

beautifully calming on a pretty cove. the INTI restaurant is exceptional and staff there are great. breakfast is delicious. despite there being a family section we didn’t feel like this altered our adults only experience as there is a separate adults only section which is lovely and peaceful

check in process and check out payment process was unnecessarily long and painful. Lux should allow guests to pay for their stay before arrival (as the other hotels we stayed at do). considering the cost of the hotel I think the more standard rooms could do with a refresh
