beautiful hotel in a newly developed area. not a lot around but if you don’t like all inclusive it’s a good choice. People were friendly. Room was large and well decorated. amazing shower. great gym. the pool is stunning.

some of the staff at the beach bar had that attitude of “oh you’re a foreigner so doesn’t matter what things cost” definitely felt taken advantage of. for example, my friend asked for a small grilled fish. we were served a 1.3kg fish. apparently there were smaller sizes of another type but they didn’t tell us, clearly wanted to sell the bigger one. Also, the night before check out I requested a van to take us to tulum. they said it would cost similar to a taxi. approx 2800 pesos. when we checked out, it seemed they had forgotten to book so they then booked another. I didn’t confirm the price again and once we got into Tulum the driver charged us 4300 pesos for the trip. plus surcharge to use card, ended up paying 4900. absolute joke.

The property was beautiful and I liked the option of staying at the pool or going down to the beach. It was also gated with good security. The staff was phenomenal and really took care of us!

From the start to end, staff was joyful and always helpful even though my flight was in late night. The staff assured that I enjoy my time resting in lobby/pool/gym. The food was great and all amenities, especially gym and spa were spot on.

Very glitchy coffee machine in room making it tricky to enjoy the morning caffeine kick, also, the AC was louder than expected based on variety of 5 and 4 starts hotels. The rest, was an absolute bliss.

Nothing major, but the butler service never responded to any of my WahtsApp messages. The quality of the food is very good, but I would suggest paying a bit more attention to some cocktail preparation. For example, I ordered a mojito that is supposed to be muddled. Mine was not and tasted mostly like water. I am sure the bartender has the skills to prepare great cocktails.

The hotel is amazing , the room deluxe is perfect for 3 is confortable and big I love it . the food is delicious the burger and fried potatoes wow!!! the only thing is wine is expensive and evian ....

SLS is an amazing place. The decor is clean, open, and hip. The rooms are wonderful (we stayed in #405) with a balcony, lots of space, great amenities, and really comfortable beds. The pools were great as well with 'house music' playing day/night. SLS has a private beach with palapas, lots of lounge chairs, umbrellas, and everything else you will need. There is a beach bar that serves excellent food and drinks. I travel to Mexico at least a few times a year for vacation. This is a special place that I will definitely visit again.

The only downside was that the hotel was located about 20 - 25 minutes from the most popular restaurants. After dinner it often took 45 minutes to get home (because of traffic). But this is an excellent hotel property -- do not let this minor inconvenience dissuade you from enjoying this beautiful destination.

When we arrived we did ask for an upgrade (had to pay extra )and we get a room with view on the ocean, with balcony. Once we arrived a hammock was directly installed which we did use the days that we did stay at the SLS. We loved the breakfast, normally I always book a room with breakfast but this time I did not regret, the breakfast was a la carte and it was amazing, we showed up our first day at 0700 but the breakfast only started at 0800, SLS is the type off hotel which is doing another step, so we could take place and order our coffee and slowly choose what we like to eat. The fresh banana bread was amazing, it was this good that we ask for extra bread what we took to our room and enjoyed at the beach. They have an electronic butler with the use by whatsapp, we ask about our coffee machine not working, 10 minutes later they bring a new coffee machine to the room (the old machine was not plugged in...). We ask for fresh banana to our room, they took the extra step to make in their free time shopping at their own grocery shop. We ask help to visit Cirque Du Soleil, they did help us at the reception and arrange a private car. Everything was excellent during our stay, only sad thing is we only did stay 4 nights. In the evening they would bring extra water to the room, some chocolate and if you are not in your room close the curtains.

The wine list with few options never and never had the wine I wanted, and the manager's suggestion was always double the price.

Loved this hotel, staff welcoming and helpful. Upgrade on arrival made our last night of holiday extra special. Experience from first entering hotel excellent. Would definitely look for SLS hotels throughout the globe!
