It was beautiful. It actually looked exactly like the photos so they’re not catfishing. Trust me on that. The place is also beautifully decorated and right by the beach. Lido Beach Club is actually the waterfront property and the lodging itself is connected to it. If it weren’t for the seaweed, which isn’t their fault, everything would’ve been perfect.

Noise. There are a couple of bars that play loud music almost every night most especially from Thursday to Saturday. It’s like the party’s right outside. I was diving so I was always tired at night and I just slept through it. I'm personally not complaining but heads up.

I really wanted to hate this hotel- I tried to change my dates which I was permitted to do and the hotel claimed they were full despite being available on booking.Com they were unhelpful unpleasant and rude - Booking.Com finally intervened - that having been said the hotel itself is great brilliant location nice clean rooms brilliant breakfast great restaurant and friendly staff.

there were three problems with the hotel - you cannot in 2022 without proper internet in the rooms you can’t have a room fridge which does not work now that playa is overrun with seaweed the hotel needs to put in a pool as the sea is unswimable

My friends and I very much enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and big, loved the hammock on the balcony. The staff at reception (Alma and Hector) were super nice to us and extremely helpful with any of our queries. The location was perfect for the evenings. Breakfast was nice but not much variety. The staff of the restaurant was super nice too! Unfortunately the sargasso (algae) was a lot during our stay so we could not take advantage of the beach. This was the same for all playa del carmen though. Quite a lot of noise from the clubs nearby until late at night but we did not mind.

The staff has been the highlight of our stay. Shout out to Hector, Christian and Alma who helped us with our tours and all of our questions!! I booked a taxi from the airport from their partners and it was a nice addition at a fair cost. Mind that there’s little to no space for parking in the hotel or neighborhood. The place is adorable, well kept, and blessed with working a/c. It’s linked to their partner restaurant on the beach, which is a really cool place. They offer a really good breakfast there, and if you take a tour and are not able to eat the hotel will ask them to pack a lunch for you. The beach place turns into a bar at night and it’s really popular with loud music. It can bother people trying to sleep, but I didn’t mind too much. The sea at Playa del Carmen was filled with sargassum so we only used the available seat (at no additional cost) once to relax, however they have a limited amount available so I’d plan accordingly. Also, the location of the hotel is super convenient. Literally everything you can possibly need is just a few steps away.

This survey asks about quiet rooms. All of the hotels gave some rooms quieter than others. 2nd floors are beautiful, but also get the club noise. Just be honest with them when you arrange your stay. Because of the clubs, there are no quiet rooms, anywhere, on this side of Playa. Expect very high decibels and bass from 9-2am. That’s the nature of this vibrant area. Because of Colibri’s popularity, it is difficult to get a balcony room with an inside garden view at certain times of year. Join the great nightlife or adjust what you need to do for yourself at night.

For the past couple of years, the beaches are packed with red algae during winter and spring. It’s not the hotels’ fault. They all do the best they can to clear it. But if you want to stay at this picturesque resort, with AWESOME food, Alma, Hector and the staff will let you know which beaches are clear that day and direct you to them.

very well situated, in the middle of the quinta avenida the beach club has a reasonably priced menu staff was overall helpful (except after check-out, they became weirdly rude)

Rooms are not well isolated, you hear the loud music and clubbing until very late at night Paying a caution/giving a piece of identity for beach towels is ridiculous when you are a guest of the hotel and they have your room number and card info! Electricity was cut for +10 hours one day, seemed normal to staff if you stay a little long, service deteriorates (we waited for +1H30 for a simple breakfast on our 3rd day) On our last day we checked out early and stayed at the beach, we were refused beach towels to shower, dealt with some very rude staff, had to leave without showering the kids, it left a very very bad impression on us!

We received the room with the best view on the "sea", right in front. A beautiful garden with a very nice independent bar for breakfast/lunch/dinner/drinks. Very good quality of food and drinks. The room was very well equipped and personnel was very friendly.

We could not spend our time on the beach because of the wind (no space left to put chairs) and because of the massive invasion of algae. A lot of police was posted in the street of the hotel because of the large bars that were located nearby.

The place is amazing. We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was very nice and helpful, the room was comfortable and big enough and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is in the party zone but this was what we were looking for so the music from the nearby clubs didn't bother us at all. I will give a 9 because it was no beach to lay on.

Even though the description says that the hotel has a beachfront, actually on the beach is the restaurant and the tables are all over the entire beach. So there is no beach for the tourists.

The beachfront location, the central position, perfect breakfast on the Beach, the food and cocktails at Lido restaurant, the day Beach parties and live music, the luxuriant garden, the design with comfortable and big beds, the kind, helpful and respectful staff (reception, housekeeping, restaurant), sparkling clean everywhere and very good garden maintenance.

The noise at Night, but it is not the property’s fault. The clubs nearby are playing loud music until 3 am. Anyway, we were so tired after the pleasant activities (visiting, snorkeling, walking) during the day that, with the help of earbuds, we slept like babies.

Breakfast and lunch were great. It's really "on the beach" - just a few steps away. It's conveniently close to the main shopping street (5th Avenue) and about a 7-minute walk from the ADO bus station, which I used to get into Playa Del Carmen.

The live music was a bit of a nuisance in the evenings and generally too loud for guests to be able to hear each other. The air-conditioning could do with a bit of an upgrade. The rooms are generally slightly dated but perfectly fair still.
