Valeria and Alex were exceptionally helpful, especially Alex who would message me back on his day off! I briefly met Coco who also very friendly. The cabin was basic but clean and a cool concept. I had the ground floor cabin. Great location and I used the beach access from another hotel that Valeria recommended, think it was called La Luna. I had the most delicious spicy mescalita from the restaurant!!!! Also the cabin was very close to my favourite breakfast place where I went every morning. Overall I would recommend staying here.

it is is very expensive for what it is but that is because it is on the beach. Compared to other hotels on the beach, it is the cheapest I could find. The cabin is VERY noisy at night as there is a nightclub next door and a loud beach club opposite. I had remixes of 2 songs at the same time until 3am every night. I can sleep through it but wouldn’t recommend if you are a light sleeper and plan to sleep before 3am.

My best friend and I had such a FABULOUS stay at Mamasan! All of the staff were amazing and so accommodating and the location was in walking distance to the ocean. The hotel was so beautiful and clean. It was like being in a treehouse storybook. The rooms were so intricate and unique and had everything we needed for our week long trip. The housekeepers would come each afternoon and clean our room and bring us fresh towels and anything else we needed. Carlos, the hotel owner was the best! He would check in with us all the time and made us feel so special. On the last night, Carlos even upgraded our room to one of the treehouse bungalows which had a giant bathtub in it and amazing views of the landscape. We felt so safe the whole time we were there and the hotel even had a security guard on staff who was there during the overnight hours. Not only that, but there is a restaurant on site and the Chef always cooked the best meals!

Got upgraded to the geodesic dome room and it was absolutely beautiful! The hotel is in a great location close to all the popular restaurants, bars, and beach clubs. The staff was absolutely amazing and so helpful and quick to respond and solve any problems or questions we had.

We ran out of hot water on the second day but the staff was quick to solve the problem and we got it back in less than an hour. There was a leakage from one of the windows in our room because of the heavy rain but once again, the staff was quick to come in and help with the problem.

Mamasan Tulum was a divine experience. From the first moment we’ve met Sofi at reception she was warm and welcoming She gave us many good advices in regards of booking activities around tulum Then we’ve met Carlos he was welcoming and showed us to this beautiful bungalow with stunning view. It was clean and peaceful surrounded by nature. Mamasan is located in the heart of Tulum Everything you want is nearby dance club the beach the famous Taboo across the road The vibe in Mamasan is amazing, many thanks to Carlos!! He is full of love and care He made sure that we will be 100% happy I would rate this place with 10 stars !! We stayed in one of the treehouse domes. The structure of the place is very cool with a pretty view of the sky. It’s the main reason for staying here. The tub in the room was nice. Both the tub and shower had hot water. There was air conditioning and a very fast ceiling fan. They cover the windows from the outside during the day if it gets too hot but we didn’t need it. They also provide drinking water. The music from the places nearby wasn’t an issue for us. You could barely hear it and not at all with the fan on. Our dome was situated more in the back. The man working the front desk, Juan Carlos, was very nice and attentive. He would help us with maneuvering our rental car and would give us recommendations on things to do and places to eat. The location is close to restaurants and beach clubs. The hotel also has an on site restaurant (just the drinks were good though. Food was fine)

The room is very rustic which is the vibe but for being just 1.5 years old there are things that don’t look the best. The bed was as hard as a rock. Woke up with my back hurting most mornings. Pillows were nice. Be aware there are no curtains in the room. We came prepared with eye masks. The floor always seemed dirty so I would never walk barefoot. There wasn’t an iron or hair dryer. The safe didn’t work.

Hello travellers, I hope you're doing well on your journey to find the perfect place to stay in Tulum. I looked at many locations before arriving and ended up staying elsewhere for the first night. I decided to trust my instincts though and moved to the Mamasan Treehouses & Cabins- something about the photos spoke to me and I thought my stay in Tulum would not be the same if I didn't take a chance. I have no regrets about this decision. As soon as I arrived Carlos made me feel like I was being welcomed to a place I had visited 100 times. His friendly smile, warm conversation, and introduction to the property immediately put me at ease. The entire team: reception, kitchen, cleaning, and others, were also very helpful and kind and gave me great ideas for things to see and explore. Mamasan is a reflection of architecture and intention to welcome guests to the beauty of Tulum while respecting the natural environment around it. It offers down to Earth charm and unrivaled magic. Written words cannot fully express how special of a place this is-it has to be experienced in person to gain a true understanding.

Mamasan is a special place and to say it needs to change in any way would interfere with the magic of the place.

the cabins are beautiful! it feels like a dream, sleeping in these, watching the stars and sunset from bed. Stefani, the fest lady was really really nice and welcoming, and helped us with everything we needed. The breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant(was not included in the room reservation) was very nice and a good value for the price.

It is not a hotel for people that are looking for luxury. There are is a lot of stairs to most rooms and the only person that can help with the luggage is the desk lady(we fortunately didn’t have these stairs). Also there is no soap, and only one trash can.

The rooms were beautiful, it was a great location to walk to many restaurants or to the beach. The staff were so incredibly friendly. Stephanie, Valerie, and Antonella were so sweet and accommodating. They were wonderful with suggesting places to go or helping us get information for things we were interested in.

The hotel is right next to a club, so the bamboo treehouse suite lets in a good amount of noise. If that doesn't bother you the room is amazing. Again, the staff were super accommodating and allowed us to switch rooms when we had trouble sleeping.

One of the treehouse dome rooms opened up, and we were able to stargaze from bed. It really was a magical place with a great view of the jungle. We'd already spent some time on the beach, so were looking for a little different ambience, and this delivered. The central location to some amazing food and drinks was also very welcome. We weren't much in for partying, but if that's your thing, the sheer number of beach clubs available right across the street should be a highlight. We just loved sitting in the bath tub and watching the full moon travel across the sky. Staff was kind and personable. We didn't want to stay at a big behemoth resort, and this had a more comfy feel.

Reviews mention the noise, and I'm sure that's definitely an issue for some, but we slept quite well.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel! The dome rooms were simply stunning, offering breath taking views of the sunset. The modern rooms were beautifully designed, and the location was perfect, just a stone's throw away from the beach and clubs. The staff, especially Sophia, were outstanding. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was unforgettable and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel for its unique charm, wonderful views, great location, and exceptional staff.
