My wife and I visited Marrakech in February and stayed at this wonderful hotel during our stay. We really enjoyed the room we were given. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating, I've never experienced such a competent team who were willing to help at any opportunity. The room and hotel was always kept to a high standard of cleanliness which we really appreciated. Both the restaurant staff and those at the front desk were very friendly. In the restaurant there is a nice view of Jemaa el Fna which is really beautiful at any time of day, in the morning you can see the city waking up and at night you can view the square from a comfortable distance. I would recommend getting the included breakfast, Abderrahman and Jaouad made our mornings very pleasant and it was something we looked forward to every morning. Whenever we entered the hotel after a long day, the staff were never short of a warm welcome. My wife appreciated the pleasant scent that is always present around the hotel and the moroccan decor really added to the whole experience. The location of the hotel is perfect as we were able to walk to every destination in Marrakech from the Jemaa el Fna square. This was especially useful when we would spend the evening in the square, we were always 5 minutes from our room. There were plenty of places to eat in and around the hotel and for every taste. I would recommend this to anyone seeking an authentic moroccan experience, I think there is a little something for everyone at Art Place, be it for service, comfort, or for exploring the city of Marrakech. I want to thank the staff for accommodating my wife and I on our honeymoon and for making it such an unforgettable experience.

I would say that the only negative experience we had was the state of the markets after the COVID pandemic make it difficult to enjoy a walk without being harassed for money. I understand this is the condition of the souks and always has been but it was particularly unsettling than what I am used to, I believe many people have fallen on hard times and this is reflected in the experience of walking through the markets so beware of this!

Better vegan and dairy-free options for breakfast. We were continually served products with milk and cheese, despite us making our needs clear We hired (a very expensive) private car to Fes as my partner had a broken foot. The driver was really annoying - trying to upsell his services 10-20 times during the ride which lasted 6-7 hours. We were, polite, direct and everything in between. You should partner with more professional partners.

Highly recommended this hotel & riad, an oasis of calm from the hustle and bustle of the square. As soon as you step through the large gold doors, there is peace and quiet, and you are always met with such a warm welcome. Easy to locate after the maze of the medina. There was nothing we didn't like. The pool, although unheated and very cold, was refreshing after a busy day sightseeing in 30 degree temperatures even in Feb. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and it was lovely to sit on the terrace and watch the local people set up in the square. Every member of staff we had the pleasure of meeting treated us amazingly. The room was perfect with a super large and comfy bed. It had a mini fridge, hairdryer, tv and lovely shower and aircon. As soon as you stepped into the Riad and your room, there was silence, the noise from the square was gone, so peaceful and cool. We had lunch on the last day and only wished we had eaten there more often as it was delicious. Highly recommend the sandwiches served with fries. I changed my riad booking to this one at the last minute, and Im so glad I did. It was perfect.

Staff - Everybody was always very friendly and welcoming at all times. We were given a tour of the facilities and given a welcome tea when we arrived. Location - Right on the Jmaa El Fnaa Square - brilliant Bathroom - shower was powerful and the bathroom was very large and comfortable. Bed - comfortable :) Lots of space - free water everyday Rooftop view is really nice especially to relax breakfast was nice too lots of choice and good service

A family members room was left unlocked after cleaning services. There are no windows so its very dark in the room which is a shame Taxis cant come onto the square after 1Pm so you have to walk to get picked up Having to share an iron

We loved our stay. What a fantastic location, yet an oasis to escape the hustle and bustle and we were made so welcome. Exceptional service from all the staff, nothing was too much trouble. Reception staff always happy to chat and offer help and enquire how our day had been. Excellent breakfasts with so much choice and very attentive staff. Lovely room and kept so clean. Great roof terrace with pool and seating with a view of the main square. Our flight was very early yet when we arrived we had a great welcome with traditional mint tea and had full use of the facilities whilst our room was made ready. We also used the hotel car regularly and Mohammed, our driver was excellent, from airport collection and trips to restaurants and even taking us for an evening in the desert. Whilst here we highly recommend you ask the hotel to book the walking tour with a private guide .Abdul (nickname Kojak) was the highlight of Marrakesh for us. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and we saw sights we would never have seen on our own. We feel we saw the real Marrakesh and learnt so much. Definitely a place we will return to 😊

It was perfect

The Art Place was a wonderful pick for our first few nights in Marrakech. It is ON Jamaa El-Fna Square. So after an evening, or in our case having to return to the room numerous times a day, in the busy square you walk a few steps and you are nestled safely in the luxury of The Art Place. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are good size, the water pressure is great (I cannot say whether the beds were comfortable or not because that all depends what you like). The staff were PERFECT! They were literally PERFECT! They happily answered every question, gave us wonderful information (didn't laugh when we were total tourists) they could not be more accommodating. We chose Art Place because we were only in town for a few days and wanted a central location. Based on the cost of other riads we looked at, it is more expensive for sure then any other place then we stayed in Morocco. However, if location is what you are looking for this is a good choice.

This is one of the most relaxing stay ever done. Such lovely place fantastic hospitality by all of the hard working people.We had a transfer from airport to hotel by their transport Welcoming us by the entrance of the hotel with the special morrocan tea. Checked in within few minutes while we had our tea. Our room and bathroom was clean and lovely Spacious Towels changed and room cleaned everyday by the housekeepers. All hotel is clean smells clean as well One thing was a bit od not having windows in the room but that was the way they build these riads in Marrakesh. Food was lovely chefs and all staff were taking care of us all times. There is a terrace on roof with pool and sun loungers and sitting area . All hotel is decorated beautifully Loved every corner of it. We were all happy to come back from crazy outside!!!!! Felt like home!!! Great location, within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and historical landmarks. Room was nice size and bed was very comfortable. Staff was amazing. I had a pricing issue with a vendor (partly my fault, partly vendor fault) and mentioned it to the hotel reception staff. Without asking they assisted in getting me refund back from the vendor. Top notch customer service. When I arrived I was greeted with mint tea and cookies, served by Mohamed amine who was nice enough to allow me to video. Mohamed amine also worked in their beautiful restaurant and recommended a delicious dish of lemon lamb and couscous. Customer service is exceptional from all the staff.

There was nothing less than perfection! The pool and terrace on the roof was a great get-away from the crowds in the medina and the view to Jamaa el Fna was very nice while dining at anytime of day or evening. Each days' breakfast brought a virtual feast and if by chance you wanted something out of the norm, they would have it ready that day or the next. The service & thoughfulness was impeccable. We had overall feeling of being taken care of in a genuine, caring way- anticipation of our wishes. The camaraderie and respect between the staff at every level was impressive. The location was perfect I think. The hotel is nestled in a corner nook of the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa square, one of the main cultural spaces in Marrakesh and has become one of the symbols of the city since its foundation in the eleventh century. However once inside the hotel/ryad, you are brought into a quiet, peaceful haven. Beautiful. For us it was helpful to stay at this particular hotel because they have permission to have a taxi enter the Jamaa el Fna square at all hours and take us directly to and from the hotel. At certain hours the area is pedestrian except for the hotel's taxi and Tuk Tuks, which everyone should take at least once! Fun! We grew very fond on the staff and would like to give a special thank you to Yousef, Ahmed, Soukaina, Abdo, Mustapha, Hussain & Mouna for going above and beyond! Oh don't miss going on a hot air balloon ride and indulge yourself in a traditional Hammam. Can't wait to come back! Maria & Nino!

We felt that the photographs provided for the room we booked were misleading. We were placed in a 'double' room in the 'hotel', which was far smaller than the room in the photographs. After 2 nights we were moved into the 'riad' (which is part of the same building), and whilst it was more than fine and more spacious, it too didn't really match up to the impressive photographs on booking.com. I should stress that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay; however, I would be reticent to rebook.
