this was great Riad to stay at , all the staff were welcoming and helpful and couldn’t do enough for you, they helped book our airport transport, all of our day excursions which were 10 / 10 and the breakfast was great. the location is perfect 5 - 6 minutes walk to the main medina square, shops, markets and places to eat along the way, they have a lovely terraced that's a sun trap so you can sunbathe if you want to, they'll also do your clothes washing and put them out to dry and then fold them up and place them in your room. bedsheets and towels were all clean. there are people who've said there is no heating in the riad rooms this is completely normal for all riads and it's not needed at all. we'll be coming back to stay I can't say anything bad about our riad or about marrakech in general our stay has been perfect.

We were amazed by this riad, the place, the decoration, the higiene, the local breakfast… even the location! Very well located and safe. The staff were excellent and we could enter or leave the riad at any desired moment (we arrived both evenings at around 23:00h without any problem). There was always someone waiting by the entrance so you could find your way in safely, which we appreciated very much. We were also able to print our plane tickets there for 1€/page.

Maybe the wifi was off sometimes, but overall it worked fine and we really appreciated some connection to internet.

The Riad was beautiful! We loved the entrance and the terrace. The staff was very kind. They booked us a desert tour that started at 7, so they cooked breakfast for us at 6:30. I’d definitely stay there again! The breakfast was delicious, especially the baghrir and the nut butter.

It only has one soap to use as hand soap, shower gel, etc. I wish I had known before because I would’ve brought my shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The breakfast was always the same, so it can become a bit repetitive if you’re staying for many nights.

Its location is great, within a few minutes you are in the center of Marrakesh. If you are on a budget this place is great for a couple of nights. I wouldn't recommend staying too long tho as the room was really basic.

Be aware if you are given a room on the rooftop: the rooms there aren't fully isolated which results in terrible noise isolation. I couldn't sleep the first night because all of the noise of the streets (moter bikes that drive insanely hard) and people screaming. I'd advise to bring earplugs. Also, don't expect much luxury when it comes to the room.

Staff were wonderful. I loved the authenticity of this place. It was true traditional style. Rooftop terrace was wonderful in the cool of the mornings and evenings with a great view and aura. Keep the address handy - not reliant on internet.....ie: write it down or a photo on your phone you can access any time...... as taxis are not all familiar with the area given it is not accessible by car..... about a 400mt walk through old town narrow alley ways - take note of the route to walk on arrival when the riad will send someone to guide you/ carry bags if needed. After that it's up to you, unless you want to pay for guidance - there will be plenty of offers!!

Hand held shower head had no wall mount to allow for using two hands to wash my hair. Easy fixed by turning off the water though. Not a well known location for taxis as it's in an area cars can't get to directly so taxis had trouble occasionally finding it - but they asked for help from other locals and would get us there in the end - no extra charge.

A recommended place to stay. Within walking distance to the Medina. 2mins walk to Bahia Palace and the Jewish neighbourhood. A family-ruined Riad with extremely nice people, always willing to help. Expect a clean and beautiful place without the perks of renovated Riads (and I mean it in a positive way). The breakfast is simple but very tasty. The inside of the Riad is really beautiful. Our room (5 people) was good in size and confortable. It can be noisy at night (facing the street), but nothing too bad.

More variety in the breakfast would have been nice since we stayed for 5 days, but it is nothing major.

Excellent staff and facilities, amazing vibes from the place. Great architecture in the riad, clean and tidy place. Next door to markets.

Toilets could do with modernising although up to standards in terms of the Riad, AC was working but barely, luckily it was cooler at night. If kids are also in the Riad parents shouldn't allow them to roam around the middle shouting in the morning as is the responsibility of the staff due to poor sound insulation. Other than that fantastic stay, highly recommended.

Very friendly staff, very traditional atmosphere, in the old city and within walking distance to all major attractions.

Avoid approaching the Riad following directions on gps, if you have a car. Too narrow roads. Park your car at the nearest paid parking space, and negotiate for the best price. It's good for the hotel to provide this information on booking.com so the customers will be better informed.

Great view from the roof top terrace. Very kind and helpful staff. Gorgeous inside facilities The host let us store our medicine in their fridge. Clean bed sheets, towels, room and bathroom. Precise location on Booking's map and staff texted us with instructions how to get to the place and where to park the car (event without we asking them) which were very helpful. There is a mini shop next to the hotel (we bought bottled water around 21 o'clock)

The hook for the shower handle was broken but I forgot to mention this to the staff, may be they will fixed it after us.

Riad Chennaoui is in a great location in the medina, about a 10-15 minutes from the main Square. The staff were incredibly helpful, Abdul in particular couldn’t do enough. The communal areas are lovely and cool and the breakfast was substantial. It’s hard to believe what you get for your money!

The electrics were a bit ropey in one of the room but apart from that, no complaints!
