Breakfast had a nice selection. I liked there was access to fresh fruit in the morning and at dinner. I appreciated that coffee like a latte was free with the breakfast in the mornings.

It was a bit crowded and sometimes hard to find a table at peak time. That can be hard as a solo traveler as larger groups can be disrespectful to solo travelers. They overlook that they are hugging space. I was charged for a bottle of water one evening, the same bottle that was provided as complimentary in the room. Makes no sense. Dinner there was a bit too much Indian food on the buffet.

Having stayed in most of the class hotels in Kathmandu in the past like Hilton , Yak & Yeti, Holiday inn etc., we would choose following four factors which are outclassed others and have excited us the most : 1. Excellent staff - Extra courteous , energetic, proactive and humble staff in front desk, restaurant and room services particularly we would like to specifically appreciate (whose names we remember) Ms. Priya, Mr.Bivek, Mr. Aman, Ms. Maujl apart from others (Whose name we do not remember),These are some of the gem of staff, who in our opinion an asset to the hotel. 2. Excellent Food-The Food in the restaurant is excellent and worth praising. The taste whether continental or Indian or local is quite tasty . We would specifically appreciate the services of Chef on duty on 21st May ,2024 night (The name we are forgetting) 3. Excellent Location- The location of the property is in Thamel ,the most happening place in Kathmandu The main market of Kathmandu is just few meters away. 4. Excellent Cleanliness- The rooms are quite clean and are by the staff at all times.

The Restaurant at many times during our stay in this property has been found quite over crowded and noisy. Staff looked wanted to serve all of them at the same time, in spite of best available staff..

I had initially stayed at another boutique hotel in Kathmandu but opted to switch to this hotel upon my return from a long trek. It turned out to be a fantastic decision. From the moment we entered, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, assisting us with our trekking bags and offering us drinks. The room, including the shower, was spacious, impeccably clean, and remarkably comfortable. The hotel’s central location provided a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling atmosphere of Kathmandu. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, Kava Grill, where the food was excellent, and the staff was consistently friendly and accommodating. I wouldn’t hesitate to choose this hotel again if I were to visit Kathmandu in the future.

When entering the Fairfield Marriott Kathmandu, I received a warm and friendly welcome. The Kava Restaurant staff, were friendly, I enjoyed the fresh breakfast, their dinner, and professional service given. I am a foreign currency/money collector, the front desk staff worked extra to find me clean and crispy Rupees. Special thank you to Herina Shahi from Kava, and Laxmi, front desk.

Its a Great stay first of all i appreciate the reception teams and other crew members are friendly but these 3 employees are super and moral characters 1) Laxmi 2) Gopal 3) Ishwari ... good works guys ..... next time if our teams visit Nepal and we will book this hotel only also we will recommend our friend and family Fairfield by Marriot only like these experience in my life its first Amazing .... we congratulate all the crew members of Fairfield Marriot... god bless you ....

Very good spread of breakfast. The only minus was that the breakfast timings ended at 1000h in place of 1030 h everywhere. The room sizes are smaller than expected. The staff is very helpful and eager to help.

The bathrooms were very small and also the jet spray for washing the bums were wrongly placed that is they were on the left side of the seat as if were made for left handed persons. Most right handed people take the jet in right hand a nd wash the bum with left hand that was not possible here making the task cumbersome.

Great location,.so close to everything in Thamel. Very comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Great in house restaurant. The front desk were amazing and very helpful. There is an ATM machine in the hotel which is so helpful. There is also a minimart close by that is well stocked and a wonderful nail parlour which does excellent mani/ pedis. Overall a great place to stay.

Excellent customer service, very polite and accommodating staff. kava restaurant chef Deepak is an excellent chef, who went the extra mile to prepare Nepalese food for us to try! The food is of highest quality. We had a really comfortable time and rested very well. Good location too.

Our bathroom door is faulty so the floor gets wet after a shower. We gave feedback to the front desk, and they immediately sent someone up to check even though it was late at night. The problem was not resolved but the extra floor mats provided helped to dry the floor.

I'm very satisfied with the service in Fairfield, the staffs are very nice and friendly, they can serve my needs quickly. Here I'd like to give my special thanks to Ms.Swostika, Ms.Prciya, Mr.Kabita and Ms.Shkuor. And the food is local and has multiple choice, the dinner is buffet, which is very good.

The room is tiny and don't have open window for ventilation.

The staff is extremely good...always smiling and polite. Rahul at front desk deserves special mention. Very helpful too. Breakfast spread is absolutely amazing Rooms are a bit small but that did'nt bother us too much

Room size could have been a bit bigger...but then it's Kathmandu and one has to accept it
