The hotel is located in the Tamil quarter, and it is possible to easily walk to places of interest, especially Durbar Square. The hotel has a very beautiful courtyard. The staff are very kind and friendly, especially Mr. Nowraz. The food is good.

The windows of the school open to the hotel yard and the noise of the students is high during the day. The hotel has four floors, but it does not have an elevator, although it does not cause any problems for young and middle-aged people due to its good design.

This is a great place to stay in Kathmandu. The hotel is newly-opened after having been closed for several years. The style is traditional but in no way outdated. The staff are absolutely lovely and welcoming of all requests; I have never been taken care of as nicely as I was here. The best part about this hotel is the garden, which is a place of complete tranquility even though it is in notoriously busy Thamel. Increbile value for money for my stay. Thank you to Khagendra and his staff-members for their lovely attitude.

Beautiful hotel nested inside the chaos of Thamel. Very nice and peaceful garden area. The place is close to all the attractions in Kathmandu. Very friendly staffs, and great breakfast. I will definitely be staying here again after my travel around other cities of Nepal.

Excellent hotel in a nice quiet location. Easy walking to the busy tourist area of Thamel, but because of the side street it's on, there was no noise, even on Nepal New Year's eve. The garden is a nice quiet place to sit and have a drink or read a book, and the staff is excellent. Very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was enough. Has most of what you need; an omelette station, fruit and veg, selection of hot dishes. Its had a comfy clean bed, hot shower, in a safe location. Perfect.

The rooms are a little dated, and there are no lifts, but then again this isn't a 5 star chain hotel with a 5-star price tag. Its a well priced hotel perfect for couples and solo traellers

We stayed 3 nights at the Nirvana Boutique Hotel, and it is certainly deserving of the name! Absolute nirvana at the end of a short road off of a main street in Thamel. We were coming off a 3 week trek and this hotel is a welcome oasis in the rush of Kathmandu. It is amazingly quiet and peaceful, with a secluded garden courtyard featuring tall pines, flagstone patio, a large fire pit, and a waterfall! What a relaxing place to unwind and find refuge from the bustle of the narrow, busy market streets outside. One can sit on a swinging loveseat, serenaded by the waterfall and peaceful music and forget you are in the midst of busy Kathmandu. It is every bit as good as a 'western' hotel, but run by Nepalis and having Nepali character. The restaurant attached to the hotel has seating inside or on the patio, and the food is superbly prepared and presented. Highlights on the menu include Indian dishes and a variety of Continental fare, including appetizers, sandwiches and pasta dishes. Staff at the hotel, from the reception desk to the restaurant, are first class and accommodating. The interior of hotel is richly decorated with carved wood trim and marble floors. We had a room with a balcony on the 4th floor, which was a great place to relax in the afternoon sun. Our room had ample electrical outlets, a desk, luggage rack, roomy closet and, most important of all, a firm bed that allowed us a good night’s sleep. Our room and bathroom were exceptionally clean and well supplied with linens. In short, we recommend the Nirvana Boutique Hotel without hesitation — it offers Nepali hospitality with western standards.

The shower curtain could have been longer to prevent water from getting onto the floor.

This hotel is so lovely and peaceful, there is an amazing relaxing vibe. Everything was perfect and i will be coming back again!!

Just be careful when booking rooms on booking.com i booked the suite with balcony but i was put in the the delux room with balcony which is cheaper but i still had to pay the more expensive price for the suite room. I did mention this to the receptionist but i didn't hear anything more about this issue. I just left it in the end because it was such a beautiful place to stay.

The property is owned by a nice and very welcoming family.from the start of my trip to the finish the hospitality and 1 to 1 communications for anything I needed whenever I needed information or a early get up everything would be catered for,Breakfast, pack lunch, fruit etc if I was up early for sight seeing. I really cannot fault the hospitality shown to me,the hotel staff really would bend over backwards to cater for anything you require. Khagendra the hotel owner was excellent,I arrived for at a last minute situation I had whilst working in India so decided that I would try to see Mount Everest and more!!!,Khagendra saved me the hassle of walking around town and going through various websites to book excursions,he sat down with me and discussed, asked what I would like from my trip and also recommended things I should do and things I shouldn’t do I would have a really good experience in the time I had. I really did a lot in my time in Kathmandu from seeing all the UNESCO sights and Temples and the highlight of my personal trip was a Helicopter journey from Kathmandu to the most dangerous runway in the world”Lukla” and flew to the highest Hotel in the world by Helicopter flying over Everest Base Camp, flying through the mountains and seeing Everest!!..,something I have always dreamed of. All my excursions where discussed and arranged with the hotel manager Khagendra saving me the hassle, and money from booking with company’s who cater for excursions,I really appreciate everything the Hotel and Khagendra’s team did for me especially the Helicopter flight to see Everest, wow what a experience👍👍👍

Staying at Nirvana Boutique Hotel in Kathmandu, Nepal, for six days was an absolute delight! From the moment we arrived, the hotel's stunning decor captivated us, and the warm, friendly staff made us feel right at home. Their breakfast is simply amazing, offering a delicious start to each day. Traveling with my wife and child, I was thrilled to find the hotel to be incredibly family and child-friendly. Our experience was nothing short of wonderful, and I highly recommend Nirvana Boutique Hotel to everyone. It's a gem in Kathmandu that made our stay truly memorable!

Upon arrival I was greeted with a relaxed atmosphere and a welcome drink. Throughout my stay the staff were genuinely lovely and committed to ensuring I was comfortable and my needs were met. The beautifully landscaped gardens made dining or just relaxing an absolute treat. The restaurant was very comfortable also. Location is perfect. I will return : )

I did not shower on the first night as I thought there was no hot water and thinking they would want to enter my room, I was too tired to deal with it. I was not aware that the hot tap needed to be run for 5 mins for the heat to come through. It would’ve been nice to be told that on arrival. I mentioned this on checkout.
