When you travel to a new country it is nice to have a safe, secure and competent hotel for your stay. I was met by a driver at the airport, the value for money was outstanding, the staff were exceptional in both customer service and the attitude they approached all interactions between myself and the hotel. They have a beautiful view from the rooftop bar, they offer breakfast and 24 hour room service, and I felt safe and secure while I was as far from my comfort zone as I have ever been. Hotel is located in Thali district, close to main tourist attractions, souvenir shops and restaurants. You can find here also pubs and night life which makes this place very noisy. Rooms are clean and well equipped. The stuff is very nice and always helpful. You also have the view on Kathmandus rooftops and Himalayas.

Hotel is surrounded by night clubs and you can here music and street noise all night long. In the description, you can read that the rooms comes with coffee machine. Our room had only electric kettle and tea. No coffee :-(

We stayed here before our trek in Lukla and were so impressed with the experience that we returned after our trek. Unfortunately, one of our group members required surgery at a nearby hospital. Timber House went above and beyond to help us during this time. They arranged taxis, checked in on us daily, and allowed us to keep our room until we were ready to fly home. A special thanks to Ram, who truly went out of his way to ensure we were well taken care of. I can't recommend this place enough! The food was fantastic, and I loved unwinding at the upstairs bar with great music. Dhanyabad—see you next time!

We stayed a couple of nights before and after our EBC trek in the Timber House. The accommodation is very clean, the rooftop restaurant is epic and the staff is incredibly friendly. I would like to mention Ram, the head of stuff (I guess) of the hotel. He really went the extra mile to make us feel at home. He arranged a taxi to the airport, welcomed us very warmly, and kept in contact with us throughout the whole trek until we got back to Kathmandu. We were even allowed to leave a small baggage there meanwhile we were on the trek. Overall, we had a very good experience, and will definitely stay here once again, if I ever travel to this part of the world again.

I can say that it was definitely the best stay of our trip. Beautiful, very clean, comfortable, great breakfast and close to the tourist attractions. It was the best option. The best of all was the service. Mr. Ram and his team did everything to help us, from the little things, like giving us tourist tips, organizing difficult tours and everything else (we were a bit lost when we arrived). Top notch hospitality, especially Mr.Ram is very helpful and always solve my issues. I went solo traveling but the entire hotel staffs are so friendly and we become friends. The Heritage room is amazing, location is superb and the rooftop you can see Sunrise and sunset and some Himalayas snow peak. Its a great place to stay! Also the Chef makes the best Dal Bhat! No big issue, just the sink water is icy cold (maybe because almost winter).

1. Got exceptional discount on this hotel at only 18$ per night. This was because the hotel is undergoing renovation. 2. The staffs were really nice and cooperative. We had to leave for Pokhara early at 6. They packed us breakfast for our journey. 3. Great location. The hotel was located in peaceful & quite road and just 5min walk from the bustling area of Thamel. 4. Had several halal food restaurants nearby. 5. They provided high quality toiletries.

1. The hotel policy stated that extra charges of 3.5% is added for card payments. 2. Rooms looked huge in the pictures however in reality they were really conjusted.

They have good hot showers. The electricity works really well. Its a modern interior. The breakfast is okay and should start earlier than 8am. My room was next to the balcony where people can smoke so I had to second hand smoke as it got in the room. Guests were noisy in the hallways. The property should put in writing that they charge an extra 3.5 % for credit card payment. This was not stated in the advertising of the property. Overall it was a good comfortable stay for a decent price.

Hospitality of the staff and their eagerness to make us comfortable during our stay was remarkable. A beautiful terrace with a view of kathmandu City is also one of the positives. It is very near to Thamel market and to other prime tourist spots. I recommend staying here.

Everything. Great value for money, very comfortable room, tasty breakfast, good (not amazing) internet for working. The staff made everything they could to fix every tiny issue we had (the manager was great)
