To correct the problem below, after the taxi had to leave me stranded for lack of convenient car-accessible entrance : Fortunately I was able to call to someone smoking near the entrance (at a distance from the street with no car access) to get me help. A most pleasant receptionist came out to the street with a cart to take in my baggage, found my booking, and checked me in to a most pleasant and suitable room on the ground floor, even if their 'accessible' room was occupied. The staff were all extremely helpful and accommodating. Having no lunch on my train from Brussels, I tried one of their homemade pizzas, which was great! Breakfast the next morning was very good. The staff was most attentive and helpful, given my rollator; even a waffle! With no in-house restaurant, this hotel for a non-central location in Amsterdam was reasonable for the quallity (although above my institute budget)!

There is no appropriate drive-up entrance where a taxi can stop legally to unload baggage and the traveller (as myself--elderly with a rollator) can get needed help with needed extra baggage for two-months abroad. My taxi driver complained bitterly when he left me and my baggage off on the sidewalk nowhere near the entrance and drove away because he said it was not legal for him to wait for me to get help. They have no café or restaurant, after breakdfast. The only substantive food at their bar are several choices of homemade pizza, which was very good. It was about a 10-15 min walk for me to nearest restaurants. Amsterdam hotel prices have skyrocketed.

Very close to GVB tram, grocery store (Jumbo), Drug store and local cafes and restaurants. Cafe Czaar ( 5 minute walk from hotel was outstanding!). Daily breakfast served as part of room rate, however basically same fare everyday (I was there for six nights). This hotel was quiet and four tram stop from Amsterdam central. Glad I stayed outside of the downtown area.

The hotel’s GVB train/tram/bus system was down the entire time during my stay. Was not able to purchase weekly, less expensive GVB ticket. Had to purchase 24 hour passes on the tram each day I used At about 9 euro daily. I’m guessing during tourist season this may be the default in hotels?

Quality for the price we paid was just right. Personnel was very helpful and friendly. My wife has medical issues and we were able to change to a room providing for disabilities without extra cost. Location good for our purposes. No complains about the breakfast.

The first room we got had a shower with a base that can become very slippery due to spilled soap and shampoo. This can be problematic for those with balance issues. However, we were able to change to another room.

Very nice hotel with comfortable and clean rooms. The bathroom was very good also. The breakfast has a huge variety of choices and covers both US and EU tastes. The personnel was very polite and friendly. 2 min walk from two tram stops. One of them (Tram 26) is only 3 stops away from the Central Station and passes every 10 minutes max. I would stay again.

The shower is not fully closing. It has a protective plexi-glass only for the half, so you must be careful while you shower. It is not important and it is easy for the hotel to fix it.

On the whole, the Hampton Inn is a very decent hotel. The rooms were clean and quite comfortable. Breakfast is great. The hotel is however not really integrated within a neighborhood (just outside of one). There is however a very nice Tapas restaurant nearby right at a gracht. But it is very close (about a 2 minutes walk) from a tram station that gets you right into the center of town and also stops directly at the Reijksmuseum.

Amsterdam is at the moment overrun by tourists. So hotel prices are (particularly) during weekend stays overpriced. Not the fault of this particular hotel, nevertheless.

good location! public transoprt well connected with the whole city rooms are nice and spacious, as well as there are curtains that dont let any light in, and good sound isolation. interior is cute and beds are clean and comfortable. all the staff is very friendly and breakfast is tasty! There is a tv that has hdmi as well as a bunch of interesting tv channels.

you can't open the window at all, its double sealed? so the only air is coming from the air conditioner which is a bit noisy, and if you don't like using air conditioners its not so nice. could be cleaner as the shower was still wet and there was a hair..

This hotel is very convenient to the tram #26 and 3 stops from Cental Station. It was a 6 minute ride. Neighborhood was quiet and we were comfortable walking in the evening. Delicious breakfast was ready each morning at 7:00 (or a little before). There was a wide selection on the buffet for all tastes. Room was extremely clean and quiet. They helped arrange a taxi to the airport. Staff was very helpful with suggestions for things to do and see in the city. They have universal chargers to purchase at the front desk in case you forgot yours.

There was no blow dryer in the room and we mentioned this to the front desk. It might be nice to have breakfast ready a little earlier for those who have early meetings or tours.

Location good, if hotel had been a bit cheaper. Only 3 stops on the tram, which was fabulous and easy to use. Buy tickets on the platform. Recommend 24 or 48hr tickets. Remember to tap in and tap out on each journey or you could void your ticket. Breakfast was absolutely brilliant, super fresh and brilliant options for all tastes. Staff were great in all parts of the hotel, and very helpful.

Layout in breakfast area - Area could be laid out better so you are not bumping into people at every turn. More milk in the rooms please, two only makes one cup of coffee! 8 euros for a bottle of still water - are you having a laugh! At 150euros per night, expect free water in room - 4**** hotel?

First, a few names to start with - Sasa and Jerranny. Thank you for your hospitality and help. Sasa was the perfect host during check-in and Jerranny was helpful throughout, especially one evening when our delivered dinner leaked on one of the restaurant tables, and she did not show any annoyance at all. In fact, she helped the delivery guy with cleaning. These small gestures make the guests very comfortable. My partner and I mostly stay at 4-star or 5-star hotels, and this was our first experience with a 3-star hotel. We stayed there because of the location (it is close to my new office). I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was comfy, the breakfast was decent and the service was great. We did not have issues with parking also. We already plan to stay there again.

The toilet was not super clean with some stains from the previous stays.

Location was ideal, 3 mins walk to the tram, and from there the Central station is just a couple of stops away. In fact, you can easily reach Schiphol airport in less than an hour. Breakfast was very good, and varied by day, lots of healthy options including green salad and fruit. Our room was facing the main street and you could even see trains passing by, but inside it was quiet. Overall very good experience. Oh, and if you still have some energy left over after all day walking, you can go to the gym downstairs, and burn off those extra calories!
