Staffs are nice. Checked with the heating once I raised out the question and borrowed me a portable heater. Offer different size of rooms. Like 2-, 6- and 8-beds dorm. Should book the whole room if you have over two people travelling together. The restaurant/ common area/ dining area, have no idea how to address, but it’s HUGE. Trust me, this is what you expected when you are not sleeping. Chargers are everywhere, board games, table football and cue sports as well waiting for you to play.

Location is not the best. Even though there is a tram really close by. The housekeeping … I don’t know how to address , but I do not expect an underwear under the sink on the floor , but still super obvious was there for a few days.

- Friendly staff, let me store my bags before check-in and after check-out. - The rooms are modern and comfortable, toilets are in the rooms, toilet and shower are separated. - Design and architecture are good. - It is possible to use microwave and water boiler located in the kitchen. - Location is 3 min away from tram station, then you need 10-20 min to get to the centre, you can also walk for 30-45 minutes. There are shops and cafés in the vicinity. - There are lockers in the rooms. - Wi-Fi works easy and fine.

- The ladders to the upper beds are not comfortable, they miss one step in the bottom. - There are no shelves at the bed. - The cooking-related amenities are limited to hot water and microwave oven, although more was not expected from the description on Booking.

I really liked the people in reception and the cafe, they made the whole experience worthwhile. The beds are comfortable, and the arrangement of two showers works perfectly. The social life seemed amazing and whilst I didn't particularly partake, they come up with great events and ideas, that definitely makes everyone feel welcome. Getting to Amsterdam took longer than anticipated, but when I found out at first, that I would be delayed, I emailed to see if I was going to miss check in. They got back to me within 15 minutes and said not to worry and that it would be okay to check in when I arrived. Once I then knew I was going to not make it the first night I emailed them and let them know, and they were helpful by sharing sympathy and understanding of the pain of German trains! Communication was brilliant all the way through my stay. When I asked for recommendations, I got given a whole lot of things to do, see and eat/drink. A particular shout out to Avi who was just really helpful and kind, and when I left the hostel after checking out, having left a train ticket, I was chased down and it was given to me, so thank you Avi! Thank you very much for a lovely time in Amsterdam!

Staffs are awesome. Quite welcoming and helpful. Spacious lobby/bar. Spacious and well equipped dorm room. You have a fan, two toilets and two sinks in the dorm. Each person has great storage space, can easily fit in big backpack or luggage. You'll have card to swipe in the front door, your floor level and your room. Water fountain at the entrance. Bulletin board offers events and tips for travellers.

Just some heads-up... Note that there's no kitchen. Bring your own padlock, hairdryer, towel, shower gel/shampoo etc. And you'll need to make your own bed. The laundry service wasn't available at that time.(the staffs did point the nearby laundry places)

The restaurant in the hostel is generally open, and fairly flexible with accommodating dietary restrictions. The facilities were clean and tidy. The bedding was comfortable. The location is fairly close to both transit and very bikeable into downtown

Eight to a room can get a bit busy… and some residents weren’t being so considerate as they…. The hostel itself doesn’t rent bikes but will point you to a shop across the road that does. But it is far cheaper and the hours are much more flexible if you sign up with Donkey Republic. They didn’t seem to make any effort to build community

Bathroom is designed for disabled people which makes it a bit uncomfortable for others, like it would be nice to have some borders to stop water from shower on the floor Also some shelves to put toiletries on would be handy Also a big :( is that bed is not made, and when you come at 2 am tired it is really hard to do it quiet not to disturb others + you need to take sheets off yourself and there is no towel included

The staff were very friendly. The other guests were not rowdy and drunk (like other Amsterdam hostels), there were some families and older people so it felt safe. The location is good enough for the price. There was a lot of space both in the rooms and the common areas.

Towels are an extra charge even in private rooms- this is not usual for private hotel rooms in Amsterdam. I didn’t feel like the left luggage facilities were secure. They don’t have a ticket system like other places, its just a room that anyone can walk into. But, they do have relatively cheap lockers, so I would recommend using those instead.

Convenient location. Near the entrance there is a cooler with free drinking water (this is also convenient for those who have traveled a long way before arriving at the hostel). The guy at the reception had a friendly smile, helped me pour drinking water, and gave me the opportunity to have breakfast, although I booked without breakfast. Although breakfast started that day an hour later than originally announced, before that it was possible to pour fruit juices and hot drinks from the machines. There also is a luggage storage room. Thank you for the hospitality!

The bed linen is not white, but dark blue (quite worn out); a towel is not included in the price of the room. The lockers for personal belongings are quite narrow (not suitable for all bags). The elevator was not working during my stay. The receptionist made a mistake at first and registered me a place not on the lower tier of the bed, but on a mattress on the upper floor of the room, I was forced to return to the reception to change the place. The lobby is quite noisy in the evening; it may not be suitable for those who want to drink tea/coffee in silence or work on a laptop .

On the positive side, I must say that the room was spotlessly clean, and the entire building was very beautiful with a lovely atmosphere. Most of the staff at the reception were very helpful. We could easily and quickly reach the hostel by tram. The temperature in the space was perfect, neither too cold nor too hot.

On the negative side, I would say that one of the girls at the reception had a bad attitude. The price for the hostel was high, but it was okay considering Amsterdam's standards, it was relatively okay. I would have preferred if my locker was next to my bed, and finally, we were two girls with four boys, which was a bit uncomfortable, but everyone was very nice, so it was okay.
