The hotel is located at the boarder of the canals of Amsterdam, at the other side of the City center (opposed to the train station), so you have to walk a bit or take a taxi if you arrive by train. We decided to walk and discover the city (only backpack as luggage). What you get for being a little away from the station is the calm side of the city, since close to the train station it can get very hectic, particularly on weekends. The hotel room is nice and updated, there is not really much to it, since it is a typical sleepover city hotel.

There is no mini fridge in the room. The shower is open, so you will wet everything. The soundproofing from the street is poor, they do have a double glass on one the main window, but there is a top window that had terrible soundproofing, it seemed like open to me.

The best part was the staff! They were friendly and superhelpful all the time. Rooms and bathrooms were clean (unlike the other ibis hotel 2 buildings beyond this one). I stayed in 2 different rooms (first alone then with friends) and both of them got plenty of daylight, a/c and a radiator which is great for me! Even though it was quite warm during the day, it was a bit cold one night. As soon as I turned on the radiator, the room became warm really quick. Breakfast was quite ok. I really like the ability of having coffee anytime we wish to. Location was quite ok, walking distance to public transport or even the city center if you feel like walking. Yet, silent enough and away from all the crowd. There are nice restaurants/cafes in the vicinity. There is a vending machine working with both coins and credit card in the lobby. I liked everything, especially after moving from the other ibis hotel (amstel where I hated)

They may consider adding a bit more storage area in the rooms for longer stays. But it was already good enough.

It is a charming hotel, tucked in a leafy, vibrant neighborhood. It felt so good to unplug from the concrete stomping, noise of tourist cental Amsterdam. There were buzzy local restaurants all around the area, so that was fun. It wasn't too difficult ro reach from rhe center.

Too expensive for what is was. We want to spend 3 nights in AMS, but ended ip spending one due to the hotel costs. Especially, for a hotel NOT centrally located. Compared with other big cities in Europe just cost way too much and AMS offers less than many. Suffice it to say, we won't come back unless we have too.

The location was good ,the room was clean.

At the moment of the checkout the man of the reception was so unpolite since I told him about my train time and he asked me about my nationality and then he said "people from Latin America used to take all things relax and not so responsible" . I consider these types of comments unappropriate for treating a guest despite I was not aware about train times and system in Amsterdam. However, I want to thank him because despite of this unconfortable comment he called a taxi for reaching out the train. The room also was different from the pictures,we choosed a tulips cover room,but it was a simple one.

staff were very welcoming and recommended to us some must see places, we got a free upgrade on the room which was a bonus, rooms where always clean same with bathroom couldn’t fault it! although our beds where two singles pushed together they were very comfortable. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the main centre but there are plenty trams near by which are easy to use, myself and my partner would definitely come back it was still in a very nice location near local shops and parks and also the Albert cuypmarket is a 5 minute walk away which is a must visit with great food and other stalls🫶🏼🌷

We stayed here for four nights. Rooms are perfect, bed & pillows we're comfortable, quiet hotel, shower is lovely great pressure. The room is cleaned daily, and the cleaners take pride in their work. The front desk staff are so friendly and helpful always smiling and asking how your day is. I didnt have to ask for anything during my stay they either already had it thought of or offered the information when we checked in. The hotel is beside a lovely local market, lidl. 10 mins walk from the Heineken experience and canal trips. The tram to get into the city is 5 minutes walk that was very convenient 😊 Claudian customer service went even further than the other staff (which was still amazing) I honestly couldn't fault the hotel or staff at all. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Ibis Styles Amsterdam City. The first front desk officer that we've met was so kind. We did not get his name. Thank you Sir! (dec. 23 - night duty) The hotel front desk officers are all accommodating. They always answer our querries and help us in every step of the way. Special thanks to Mr. Claudio and the rest of the front desk crew . You are doing a good job. The room is clean and we had a good sleep during our stay. We are amazed by the work of the chamber maids, for changing our bedsheets everyday and making our room spic and span. The breakfast in the hotel is also awesome. Thanks to Ms. Wana and her crew. I booked for Ibis Styles, Central Station but it turned out that booking.com booked me in Amsterdam City. Me and my friend were lost because we went directly to Ibis Styles Central Station. I got confused with the picture. You have to inform your customers that there are so many Ibis Styles hotel in Amsterdam.

Staff were fantastic, we arrived at 5am, it was too early for check-in and given it was freezing outside and everything closed, staff made us feel super comfortable. they offered us complimentary breakfast (not part of our package) and a space to freshen up. when we checked in, the room was larger than we anticipated (for Amsterdam), very clean and quiet even with construction across the canal. an easy 15 min walk to the centre, lots of cafes, bakeries, market nearby as well as lots of attractions. great for the price and we would stay here again.

The room was kinda old but pretty decent, it has kettle and thing. The room shape is odd but it feels spacious somehow. It also had balcony direct to the street and river, so nice! The bathroom is tiny but so clean. For me, most impressive was the receptionists! They are very very welcome and nice, they so helpful and friendly. They gave us many recomendations and didnt mind to answer our questions. Oh, and the location is superb! Very close to Albert Cuyp Market. Easy access to tram too.

Maybe the carpet need replacement and the room decor need refreshment.

The hotel was in a great location. We were a family of four in one room to save money. We were lucky to have this accomodated. And the location was super!! The staff were truly the best. So helpful.

Construction was annoying. The room was very small - but we knew with the room, we were lucky to get this with four of us. So that wasn't a problem.
