I like it that the hostel has no age limit. Everyone can stay there as long as they can take care of themselves even if they are old. Staffs are nice , kind and ready to help. They are kind to everyone. No look down on people. The staff are relaxed and lay back. No stress in check in , out, and leave the baggage (2€/one). Location ist great! The shower room is shared within the roommate. I found it great. It is also bigger than normal. It is good they have room for women only. I like it a lot! The mattress is hard which is good to me. With the price and the service provided, I think the hostel deserves a higher average rating!

There are around two toilets on each floor. The toilet is small. The toilets are always available. So no long waiting time! The kitchen is small. But it provides the very basic. Microwave oven, water boiler, a fridge and basic utensils. I survived to have 2 meals and a tea time there.

The hotel is in a good location, many famous attractions are within walking distance. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You have to pay a 10 euro deposit for the key or leave your ID, which is returned on the last day of your stay. The room is clean, you can lock your backpack in a small locker (you need your own padlock).

You enter the room through the bathroom, which is not very comfortable when you want to take a shower. Some beds are situated in such a way that your head is right next to someone else's which may cause slight discomfort. The hotel smells of weed, as there is a designated smoking area near the reception desk.

Family dorm room was suitable on the top floor but a bit cramped for space with the pitch of the roof. Price was good for walkable distance to city centre. Bedding was clean and comfortable. Firm mattresses. Staff were very accommodating when we needed to extend our stay by 2 nights. We changed rooms for the last night and it was like an upgrade!

This is an old building so no lift. Carrying your luggage up narrow stairs was challenging but doable but we knew this when we booked. There wasn't anywhere to cook except a microwave and a kettle and fridge at the reception area. We lived on ham and cheese sandwiches and fruit for the week. But the Netherland bread is so good we didn't mind.

Staff were absolutely lovely. Couldn't do enough to help you and keep you informed. Felt safe there. I had requested a bottom bunk and this was delivered by them. I was very happy about that. Everything was clean. Coffee machine was always in use, so I'm guessing it must of been good (I don't drink coffee so can't personally review that). I was in a women's dorm, beds were clean, lockers were clean and roomy. There was a mirror with lights around, great for doing your makeup in. Place was quite too, and I was there on a Friday night. The only negative thing I could pick at was the stairs from the front door, there a bit stairs of death. But that's old Dutch buildings so there like that in alot of buildings. I would stay there again.

The property is situated in a convenient location with a historic and well decorated front and an interesting steep staircase which is characteristic of the city of Amsterdam and the period in which the building was built. It is a good city for young people and people of every age. The reception staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and let me sit in the lounge/waiting area with access to the kettle/coffee before I could check in as I arrived early, so it was no problem arriving in the morning. I was in a shared bedroom with 8 others and there were plenty of points for charging, and plus it was not too crowded or noisy so I could rest in the day when I arrived to be awake for the evening’s exploring. There were also curtains to use if needed. I thought the lounge/smoking area was tidy and sociable and there was fresh filler herb for anyone to use. People made conversation and there was a general friendly vibe.

I thought that there could have been more room in the bathrooms and it was perhaps a lot of people to have eight in one room, although it was a large room we stayed in and there was space underneath the beds to put stuff away.

I only stayed for a day (didn’t sleep there) because my flight got delayed so I only used the bedrooms for keeping my luggage and the shower inside the shared room. It was a womens only room and it was very clean, the beds didn’t look bad at all. The guy in reception was nice and very helpful and its really well located right in the center of amsterdam close to shops and bars and restaurants.

I saw comments saying that the common rooms smell like a coffee shop in Amsterdam and I have to say its true (even though is not allowed to smoke). There are a lot of very vertical stairs so maybe reconsider if you carry a lot of luggage. And if youre staying for a night or more you will get charged more in cash (I didn’t since i didn’t sleep there but everyone else checking in did). Overall its okay for a budget trip, the facilites are comfortable enough considering the prices.

Excellent hostel! Walkable to everything!!! Groceries, restaurants, bars, shopping, cafes!!! It's a 12 minute walk from the main train station, rolling my luggage on old cobble stone sidewalks. A 25 minute walk to a river cruise to see beautiful Praha!!! A 6 minute walk to Pytloun Sky restaurant rooftop bar to see a 360 view of beautiful Praha!!! Cute fully equipped kitchen with a garden view while cooking, terrace is amazing to eat outside!!!The staff are amazing and full of LOVE!!!🤍

In town centre, many people homeless finding cheap staying for night, understanding of situation or stage of where they're Young finding comfortable that they can have cigarette without being criticised, definitely they respond to saying "the rush what You live right now, I wouldn't like to born again"

The location was incredible. Very central. All the staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating to our needs. The facilities were good, showers clean. We were a group of 6 together in a room of 6 bunk beds. It felt spacious and the beds were comfortable. We had an unforgettable holiday, part in thanks to this hostel.

Steep stairs but this can't be helped.
