It’s location is really close to everything and super beautiful place, most of the employees were fantastic.
It was just this one guy in the evening, that I told him I lost my passport as soon as I noticed it. He didn’t make much of an effort to help me to find, otherwise I could have had time to get my original plane, cause I was sure the passport was lost there, and the cleaning staff would have found it, but he didn’t hurry at all to help. Lost my plane and had to pay for another nigth in the hostel. Next day in the morning, went to the lady at the reception, and she went straight way upstairs, where my passport was kept by the cleaning staffs team. But just that, wish he would have made an effort, I would have gotten my plane and saved lots of money and a headache.

Exceptionally clean and a fantastic place to meet people! This hostel has everything you'd expect and more, including an onsite bar and a designated smoking area, which really adds to the experience. Overall, the atmosphere is friendly, and fellow guests are super welcoming.
The hosts could have been a bit more attentive. They had an uncompromising 'nothing-is-negotiable' stance that felt excessive at times. Instead of the usual drawers under the bunk beds, my room had awkward wooden lockers that didn’t fit my bags. When I asked if I could switch to a different room, they cut me off mid-explanation with strict references to hostel policy, without really listening to the issue.

Amazing community so to speak, from what I see people keep coming again since a lot of the new people checkin in seemed to know it hahah. Breakfast is decent, bar and accommodation prices are pretty good, and its quite close to loads of things. The bar is open until late 2am and they even have happy hours, really good place to socialize and make friends
The distance between top and bottom bunk beds would be nice to be more, kept accidentally bumping into the bedframe above. Also for some reason my key kept dieing but luckily it was always a 20 seconds job.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the bar area is a nice place to hang out and the crowd was also just cool people. The room was very clean as well, if you dread dirty hostels this place has nothing to fear.
Be aware that the way into the hostel feels very cramped, it's a very narrow and steep staircase (the steps felt very short for my big feet) heading down to where the reception and bar are. Also my bed sheet had a small hole in it, but that was underneath the pillow, so it didn't bother me.

Everything was pretty much ok.
Hidden fees for booking.com which realized when we arrived at the hostel and were checking in. There was no information about hidden fees, in price we saw before booking, when paying, or even after payment, until we arrived at the hostel. We got a loft room at the 4tg floor, without elevator, with steep stairs. We hadn't gotten information about how the room looked and and being on 4th floor without elevator. The air was difficult to breathe in the stairway and the room, as they're closed spaces without air conditioning. The air in the room became better after going down 100 stairs and complaining and getting ventilation on (and going 100 stairs up again), and turning on the fan in the room and opening the window.

Breakfast was good, everyone was friendly, and the facility was cared for and clean! Didn’t have any trouble sleeping- you can rent larger beds- and there were curtains that actually blocked out the city lights. Tucked off the beaten path but right next to a beautiful park!
So. Many. Stairs. 😅😳 Use the handrails!!!! My partner fell twice going down the stairs into the reception area. They are steep and slippery!

It was cheaper than other hostels but it still delivered on all the basics plus more so the value for money is really great. Rooms were simple, clean and comfortable enough and separate bathrooms were always clean when I used them. For me the best part was the lounge area where there’s other friendly guests and cool music playing, the staff are also fellow travellers who looked after everyone and created a social atmosphere in the hostel.
Wi-Fi wasn’t great from my room, sometimes disconnected. Unfortunately if you’re travelling with large suitcase walking up and down the stairs are going to be difficult.

The staff were all very friendly, helpful and clearly work hard to make the hostel a nice place to stay. The common area was nice and communal kitchen had everything we needed. The general vibe of the hostel is very nice. Bathrooms good, in particular the showers.
The mattress we had in our room was a bit old with some springs that would poke into you. The pilling of the mattress fabric could be felt through the sheet. The bed sheet covering the mattress wasn’t very large and couldn’t be tucked under the mattress easily. This was the only thing that we didn’t find very comfortable.

I was really surprised at how clean it was. Also very reasonably priced and it has 2 happy hours a day where a pint is only 5 euro! They also had karaoke and the guy was really good at getting everyone going and involved. Great social vibe there. And the beds were surprisingly comfy and the quilt etc spotless.
Nothing really, the cages you put your stuff in are a bit noisy but I don't know what alternative you could have, considering how many people must stay at that place.

Location was great and I would say better than the downtown location if you don’t mind a bit of walking. It’s close to Vondelpark and the Van Gogh museum and maybe a 30 min walk to the centre but that’s wasn’t a problem for me. Bathrooms were clean and room was spacious enough for a 10 bedder - also there’s a sink in the room.
Common area could be bigger, have a cozier space to go when it’s raining - it only consists of a bar area and a smoking room - I do understand though that space is an issue and they’ve done well to make do with what they have :) Kitchen is super tight, I didn’t bother trying to cook cos it’s just too small with too many people trying to use.
