This place is a great value for money! I arrived after 10 pm and still the check in was a breeze (thanks Adam - you were great!). The hotel is very decent, clean, and just very straightforward. Staff - very pleasant. Breakfast - is good. Elevator - yes, they have. Toilet and bath - clean and with hot water - quite spacious for my size. Room - clean and ready. They gave me a room with a window that I was able to open. Bed - soft and sheets are clean. Wifi - strong. The place is very quiet, safe neighborhood too. I just walked to anne frank for 20 minutes from the hotel, to Van Gogh in just 15 minutes, there’s a park just behind the hotel, restaurants, etc. very convenient. I would surely come back!

Excellent location, super close to where the action is but far enough away that its nice and quiet at night. Area felt reallt safe. Staff were incredibly friendly, probably some of the best staff I've ever come across on my travels. Small but comfortable rooms - both the bed and pillow were perfectly comfortable. Bathroom was a good size and had a decent amount of counter space for toiletries.

Rooms have no air-conditioning which probably isn't much of an issue in Amsterdam usually but I stayed on a super hot weekend so it was a little stuffy but you could keep the windows open to get some air circulating. Shower water pressure is pretty bad, so took a LONG time to wash my hair.

•The staff are amazing friendly and professional •Very secure and safe at night •The location is perfect and the neighbourhood is safe •The housekeeping team are very clean neat and friendly •Our room was super clean They are very thoughtful, we didn’t even ask for a fan when the weather started to get a little warm we found a fan in our room we are very thankful for that 🥰 Also there was a chair in our room that bothered us cuz we had a lot of luggage and there wasn’t much space so the housekeeping just removed it to make us an extra space (without us even using asking) cuz we had to place the chair behind the door which made it uncomfortable when we get in and out the room so eventually they were making sure we had a comfortable stay 👍🏻 I loved our stay in this hotel 😍

I wished the mattress (bed) was more comfortable tho and if they had a kettle in the room or something for morning coffees or tea but the sitting area downstairs was very cozy so it’ll do 🥰 Otherwise we had a very nice stay

So easy to take a bus from the airport to reach the hotel (a few blocks from the stop)and the website gives great instructions on how to do it. Great location to reach major destinations plus easy to take the bus to others. The staff was wonderful, I can’t remember all the names but Michelle was superb! I traveled with friends and we loved meeting in the lounge or in the garden at the end of the day. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends!

The one negative- my friend left his electric toothbrush and when he called it had already been thrown out. He would have paid to have it mailed to him.

The room was neat and tidy, the bed very comfortable and it had a surprisingly big, updated bathroom.There was an elevator so there was no need to use the steep stairs. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. It was very central but in a very quiet location.There was a tram stop close by as well as bus stop direct to Schiphol airport. An easy walk to Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum. There are plenty of restaurants close by as well as a supermarket.

There was nothing that I didn't like.

This hotel provided the ideal level of service; the staff were friendly, informative, flexible, and attentive but never overbearing. The rooms and common areas were comfortable and clean; the breakfast was tasty, fresh, and covered all essential nutrient groups. Small details like the collection of decorative owls and the refreshing mint water provided freely in reception give the hotel its own unique personality also. The 24-hour reception cover was particularly welcome. The location was ideal for the visitor to Amsterdam, being situated perfectly between the bustling touristic centre and calmer inner suburbs of the city with extremely convenient access to transport options. Roemer Visscherstraat is an elegant, quiet, architecturally pleasing street, typical of this part of the city. Inside the hotel, a lift is provided, and the staircase, should one use it, is quintessential Amsterdam. Overall, I would strongly recommend this long-established hotel; the staff and proprietors are obviously very experienced at what they do, and this shows. I would happily stay here again, perhaps in the not too distant future.

The location is really good near the Museum quarter and very close to buses and trams, quiet neighbourhood but a lot of restaurants and cafés near by. Breakfast was excellent and there was a nice garden too - and even an hotel cat, Basil! The staff was very helpful and accomodating. Everything at the hotel is on the small side, it is not a new building, so don´t expect lots of space for clothes and bags, but that didn´t bother us. The bathroom obviously new and everything very clean and tidy.

You could hear a bit of sound from other rooms, the building is not very well noise-insulated, and maybe it could be a problem if some guests are noisy (which they weren´t when we stayed there). And there were some very noisy birds outside, (they sounded like ducks??) we really had to keep the window closed at night because of their screeches.

Having stayed at Owl Hotel previously, I decided to choose this hotel again. The location is amazing, a short walk to find food, coffeeshops and all the essentials. Amsterdam Centraal is about a 30 min walk which i thought was really good. Also the staff were amazing...super friendly and helpful , couldn't have asked for better staff

The only thing I disliked was the showers being a tad bit small, which is not good for people who are bigger than the average

This is my second stay at Owl Hotel, and I can truly say it now feels like my home in Amsterdam. While the rooms may not be the most high-tech or luxurious, they are spotlessly clean, which gives me a real sense of comfort and peace — just like being at home. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and the location is wonderfully quiet and peaceful, making it perfect for a relaxing stay. If I come to Amsterdam again, I would definitely stay here once more. The location is great, right in the museum quarter, very close to the canals, with good transport links. Very friendly and helpful staff, a lovely garden with a cat and parrots where one can have breakfast.

One side of the building faces the inner courtyard and is probably very quiet; the other one faces a street where drunken&loud tourists sometimes appear up until 2am. Ask for a room facing the inner courtyard if you can. There is no air conditioning so it can get hot.
