Amazing saunas on the top floor with a great view to the city. Available from 16:00-22:00 on weekdays. Almost no people there on the weekdays. Close to Rai, so convenient to stay if you have an event at Rai and overall quick commute to the city center.

Breakfast could have been better. Almost no fresh vegetables, fruits and berries. The once’s that were available were low quality. The lighting system in the room is weirdly designed. You either have too much light or too little. I lived on the floor where all the hotel staff hangs out during the day. So felt a bit uncomfortable to stumble upon the staff all the time when I was going back to my room.

I had a very comfortable stay at Van der Valk RAI. It was close to the conference venue and had a tram stop right outside the hotel where Tram number 4 Comes which makes travelling to the city centre and main train station very convenient. This made sightseeing also very easy. Buffet Breakfast was very good and Wifi worked very well. Over all the hotel is good value for money and close (few min walking distance) to RAI convention centre and transport hubs such as tram, metro and train station. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again…

Staff attending breakfast buffet counters can be more friendly and personable to make the experience better…

Location is great, close to RAI. The self-service shop at the entrance is a great feature and was very useful after hours. The design of the room is useful, modern and has a cool touch. Breakfast and the buffet was also very nice.

The only downfall about the stay was Booking.com and not the hotel. I wanted to reduce my stay by a night which Booking.com commented as not possible due to "no availability" and they wanted to charge the full price - for deleting a night! It then became apparent that the hotel had actually approved this request without charge but Booking.com wanted to charge extra! Unbelievable with the dumbest reason given...

hotel has a range of good amenities, the rooms were very nice and the spa facility / gym was excellent. the hotel was clean and well maintained. food was always very good.

no 24 hour room service available, the room service charge is expensive too - unnecessary given the food prices themselves. breakfast was good but their could be more selection. noted on 3 occasions a QR code was missing from the room to easier order room service - no one followed up and seemed a hassle calling reception - the one in the room was just an info QR code and not an ordering one. staff were overall just good - no one seemed to be too enthusiastic about anything really. would I go back - probably on the flip side of this all - I'm not used to city break hotels - and usually spend hotel time in resorts on family holidays - so I maybe should have lower expectations ?

The rose petals and hand written note were a nice touch for our wedding night. The restaurant was absolutely delicious. The breakfast was amazing, breakfast staff were incredibly sweet, the views from the panoramic room were outstanding, and the room itself was luxurious, especially the bathtub.

The front desk staff was typical Dutch service, lacking in cheer and begrudgingly helpful. The pre-arrival emails were very impersonal and pushy, saying we could upgrade our room even though we had already booked the highest grade room available.

Staff couldn’t have been more helpful, arrived well before check in time and asked to drop our bags but were allowed to check straight in which meant we could get unpacked, changed and out exploring straight away

It’s minor but the robes for the spa aren’t in the room and the system for getting them wasn’t explained. We wondered round the spa/changing rooms and then went to reception to find out you get them from there and they require a €50 deposit. Robes in the room or a note to explain it in the room/ in the spa would have been appreciated.

The location to the RAI exhibition hall was fantastic. A very short walk away. The hotel is smart and offers everything you could need. Room was very clean and bright. Breakfast was really lovely. A great deal of choice. Bistro was good for lunch. Restaurant was excellent for dinner. Didn't need to leave the hotel! Located just around the corner from the train station.

There was one point when there was only one person on reception. Queue was long and reception was clearly challenged with phones ringing and everyone wanting to speak with her at the same time! I guess that this is just the nature of the hotel business. Not a big issue at all. Did not take away from the benefits of staying.

Location was great. Metro and trams stops were right outside. Rooms were spacious and floor to ceiling windows made drawing the curtains to see the views and skyline a treat every day. Breakfast was delicious and there was so much on offer we over ate everyday! The spa area was stunning and we also made good use of the gym. Staff were very efficient, friendly and polite. Honestly one of the best and most relaxing hotel stays we have ever had.

Perfect location nearby the highway and also walking distance from a big metro station. The rooms are new and spacious. Bathroom is also modern and spacious. There is an ironing board in each room with a super powerful iron. Douwe Eghberts coffee capsules for the coffee maker were available.

Self-check on the first floor but the letters on the screen are too small. For that reason, many people need to go to the check-in desk and wait to be helped. There is a huge parking lot under the hotel but it is too expensive. In house guests are paying EUR 40-60 if booked through booking.com. That is too much and not what we expected. Missed some camomile/relax tea in the room.

Very nice atmosphere, clean, very nice bar and restaurant. The food was amazing! The staff, especially the bar staff were really friendly. Loved the spa. The self service shop in the foyer is a great idea.

The spa wasn’t open till the afternoon on weekdays. The night entry wasn’t clear - we didn’t know what to do after ringing the intercom, instructions were not given to us (we didn’t realise we had to just push the door, we weren’t sure if someone needed to come let us in). The self check in didn’t work for us at the point of presenting a card at the last stage and we had to go to the counter staff.
